Chapter IV

"Forgetting is like a wound. The wound may heal, but it has already left a scar." ~Monkey D. Luffy (One Piece)

I awoke on a white bed in a white room. I was laying in a white bed. I shifted my side to the side to examine my surroundings The room was sparsely decorated, the only furniture there being a table, four chairs, and a wardrobe. All the furniture in that room was white. I got up to stretch and yawn. The door opened and Naminè quickly and quietly shuffled in. "Morning Naminè," I hummed.

"It's the afternoon, Saki," She informed me. "Nice bedhead, by the way."

My eyes bugged out as I jumped from the bedm seeing that I was still dressed in the clothes I wore from yesterday. "Afternoon?" I cried. "How did I sleep in until the afternoon?'

"I-I don't know," Naminè shrugged as she pulled a chair out from the desk and sat down on it, taking a sketchbook out with some crayons and began to draw. "You were passed out in Axel's arms when he came in with you."

Axel...Axel...oh no! "I must have him worried sick from what happened!"

The door to our room cracked and I jumped at whoever came into our room. "Axel, I'm sorry for what happened last night!" I comically sobbed as I hugged them. "I really don't know what happened! I'm sorry to have worried you!"

"...I'm not Axel," A monotone voice sighed.

I looked up to see that I was hugging Marluxia. I squeaked as I jumped back, holding my arm and blushing awkwardly at Marluxia. "I think you have recovered from your arrival here at Castle Oblivion," Marluxia cleared his throat. "It such a coincidence that the two girls we rescued have the powers we need to help us out."

"Huh?" I tipped my head to the side in confusion. "What 'powers' do we possess that you need?"

"That's what I am about to get to," Marluxia explained. "Naminè already knows what to do, so I'll tell you what to do. I need you to unweave Kingdom Hearts for me."

"What?" I blinked. "How?"

"Just close your eyes and in your head, call out for Kingdom Hearts. When you see a big weaving in front of you, point your Keyblade--"

"What's a Keyblade?" I interrupted.

"Let me finish," Marluxia inhaled and I shut my mouth, seeing that I was testing his patience. "Your Keyblade will come to you when you see the weaving. I can't really describe you what a Keyblade looks like because...it tends to be slightly unique for each individual. Anyways, when you see a that in your hands, point your Keyblade at it and unweave the weaving. Keep unweaving until you get tired, then rest."

"That sounds kinda confusing," I said. "What's Naminè's job?"

"To tamper with someone's memory so that we can get them to work for us," Marluxia explained. "Don't worry if it's confusing; you'll get the hang of it after a couple of times."

"These are weird jobs," I muttered.

"It sounds weird, but it's completely normal," Marluxia assured, giving me that unsettling smile once again.

My stomach loudly growling and I awkwardly shifted at how loud it was. Can my gluttonous stomach learn to keep itself quiet sometimes? "Oh my," Marluxia chuckled. "You must be hungry. I'll get you something for you two to eat."

He left the room. I turned to Naminè who was sitting at a table, drawing. "These jobs we have sure are weird," I told her.

"Mm-hm," She hummed, not looking up.

Marluxia came back with two plates of grilled chicken and rice. "Here you go. Enjoy." He walked to the door before stopping himself. "I'll let Axel know that you are awake and are worried for him," He told me.

"Okay," I nodded. "Thanks." He left the room. I quickly ate my meal and Naminè picked at hers, slowly eating her meal "You know, I had the weirdest dream," I commented. "It was a jumble of memories from our old home. Don't know why, though."

"Okay then," Naminè nodded off my remark as she got back to work while eating her meal.

Marluxia cracked the door open and watched the two girls eat their meal and made small talk. He grinned. The plan was working. Sakura thinks Naminè is her best friend, like the memories that Naminè had put inside of her. "Is it working?" Asked Larxene who teleported behind him.

"Yup," He was still smiling. "She doesn't remember a single thing."

"This is great," She replied. "At this rate, the Organization will surely fall! Now, if you excuse me, I have a certain key bearer that his memory needs refreshing."

She teleported away as Marluxia closed the door and stopped spying on them.

I walked through a room on Castle Oblivion with Donald and Goofy. I stopped. "What's wrong Sora?" Donald asked.

I rubbed my head. "I feel like I'm forgetting someone..." I muttered. A girl with jet black hair kept on flickering in my memories like an old, about-to-die, lightbulb. I kept on believing that she was real, then I believed that she was just an illusion and she never existed. After a bit of a battle with my head, the girl finally disappeared.

"Well?" Goofy asked, walking up to Donald.

"It was nothing," I said. "Just a tiny confusion with my memories."

*~*~*~*~*~

After I finished my meal, I decided to get started on the job Marluxia assigned me to do. I got up, closed my eyes, and thought, Kingdom Hearts....whatever or wherever you are....come to me.

I opened me eyes to see a huge, colorful weaving in front of me. A key-shaped weapon with a head and keychain of a blue heart with a tiny yellow crown on top, a blue-yellow with dark blue designs guard handle and a blue hilt appeared in my hand in a cloud of blue smoke.

I remembered Marluxia called it a Keyblade. It pointed itself to the weaving, as if it was drawn to it. Cherry blossoms circled me and the colorful thread began to unweave itself slowly. I watched as it unweave. It looked like a braid that was undoing itself. Once a section was done unweaving, it disappeared to sparkles.

After what seemed like hours, I grew tired of being here. I put down the Keyblade and the weaving faded away and the room I was in reappeared. Naminè put down her sketchbook. "So, what do you think of your new job?" She asked, biting her lower lip.

"It's pretty easy," I smiled. "I'll get this weaving undone in no time."
