Chapter 2
Lyliana gave me a once over as I walked through the door and deemed me not a threat before turning back to the charcoal drawing propped on her knees.
The room wasn't huge, but then again it wasn't small. There were two beds against opposite sides of the walls. the beds were furnished in a grey comforter and two pillows each. The beige walls were almost bare on my side, but Lyliana's side was covered in charcoal drawings of girls faces-each had a name under it. A desk with a lone window to look out sat kinda adjacent to the wall of drawings.
"M-my name is Lilia?" I stuttered out, still trying to remember if that was true or not.
She barely looked up. "Was that a question or do you know?" She didn't even pause her movement. "I'm Lyliana, suppose Madison already told you I'm a loonie tune?" Lyliana laughed. "Of course, she did. Madison tells anyone who will listen that."
I shuffled my way to the bed and sat down. "She did, but I have yet to make my own decision on the matter." I took a long look at my new roommate.
She didn't look harmful. She had pretty, light green eyes and dirty blonde hair. She looked younger than me even-although I'm not really sure how old I am. Lyliana's hands were marked with black and her nails were chipped from drawing so much. It made me wonder if she had drawn the faces.
But before I could ask about the wall of faces, Lyliana got up from her bed. "Well, Lilia, I'm going to the library have fun here." She stalked out of the room before I could respond.

Things were moving faster than I expected them to at the school. The classes were weird, the people were weirder, but nothing beats what's about to happen.
There's a boys home down the hill from us that houses all of Washington Cavanough's males. On every Wednesday and Saturday, the guys are allowed to come up to the our building and everyone is allowed to mingle. Some of the girls sneak out or vis versa but for the most part they're separated. Well today's Wednesday which means the guys are on their way up to see us.
Maddie told me that the guys are really cute, but Millie said they're alright looking. Maddie said something about Millie having a boyfriend back home who she's still hung up about. Then they started arguing so I left them alone.
"What's up, foxes!" A tall guy with slightly curled, messy brown hair burst through the doors like he owned the place.
"Oh shut it, Jack!"
I turned to see where the voice came from. Sat curled in a alcove with a book was a very pretty brunette with sun kissed skin.
"Emmy, you know you missed me." Jack mused. "Give me a big old kiss."
Emmy rolled her eyes. "In your dreams, Grazer."
The doors flew open again and someone screamed.
