"Did you send someone named Asher after me?" I demanded Millie upon cornering her in the library. 

Millie gave me an annoyed look. "I don't even know an Asher, Lils, so why would I send him after you?" She slipped the book back onto the shelf behind my head. "Besides I don't even know where you were." 

I watched the brunette a moment trying to decide if what she had said was true. "He said you did." 

"A lot of people say I do a lot of stuff, Lilia, doesn't mean I actually do so get out of my face about it. Kay?" Millie said tensely. "Why don't you go find some of your friends and stop obsessing over these missing girls before you end up as one." 

"Hey you don't have to be so rude about it." I stated. "It was just a question."

Millie rolled her eyes. "It was an accusation actually, dollface. He could have been one of the abductors for all you know." She pushed past me then disappeared down another aisle.

What was her problem I just asked a simple question. Maybe this is why  no one ever talks to her other than Maddie. They're totally doing something though. I mean how could anyone put up with her any other way then for her face. 

I checked out a couple crime books on my way out of the library then headed back for the dorms.

It all started the summer after I turned sixteen. Everything started to change. I had these feeling I couldn't explain. Someone I had known my whole life started to feel a little more distant. 

There she was lying in the grass out in the courtyard. But she wasn't alone for Millie laid with her. They looked so happy and it made me sick. She was my best friend. Millie just couldn't  waltz in here like she owned the place and take the only thing that mattered to me while I was on the sidelines. That's when I made the plan. I would have her, and I wouldn't stop until I did. 

But Millie I swear you'll be last. I want the paranoia to set up in you before you're gone.
