Chapter 11
Lights out had been called over an hour ago meaning everyone should be sound asleep by now. Even Lyliana had turned in early so hopefully I wouldn't have any trouble leaving the home. I had to find Ollie because I had this feeling that he could fill in all the missing pieces to the puzzle.
Or maybe I was just hoping because I was running out of options.
The halls were clear and so was the stairwell so it looked like it should be an easy straight shot to the kitchen doors that led into the garden which held the path out of the yard.
But while lost in thought, I found myself going up the stairs in the direction of the South Tower instead of down toward the kitchen. Was it because I couldn't stop thinking about her?
Soon the simple grey door with the crack across the beam came into view. The door was open and the only light was that from the single window.
Jill laid curled up on the cot, her caramel curls spilled into the pillow behind her. She looked so peaceful and pretty in the moonlight.
An IV bag with yellow liquid set in the stand, but nothing was actually attached to Jill which was extremely odd.
I crossed the little room and slowly laid down with her. "Hi, Jilly." I whispered, wrapping an arm around her waist loosely. "I know I should go but something led me back to you."
She stirred in her sleep, a soft smile forming on her pink lips. Something about this moment right here felt right.
It felt like home.
"I knew you'd come back to me, Butterfly."
I opened my eyes to be met with a familiar pair of brown eyes. "Yeah I did. Now rest."

It wasn't like I had expected to find much when I reached the house, but what I did find was alarming shocking. Oliver Walters had been dead for five years now. He oddly enough drown in his bathtub and a neighbor found him three weeks later.
Wait, maybe that wasn't the oddest part. The oddest part was that Ollie had been seventeen when he died. How was that possible if we were only seventeen, that would have made him twenty-two now which meant we couldn't have gone to school together. Why would Jill send me to him in the first place when Ollie had been dead
I wasn't sure but this had been a bust. What else could possibly go wrong?
"Miss?" A man in his early twenties stood directly across from me in the hall.
I glanced his direction. "Yes?" I asked warily.
He beamed, his aquamarine eyes lighting up. "It is you!" He exclaimed, throwing his arms around my shoulders quickly.
"I'm sorry do I know you?" I pushed him off of me.
The man ran a hand through his short light brown hair, sighing deeply. "Lils, it's Asher. You know your best friend?" He said matter-of-factly. "Are you okay?"
I shook my head. "I don't know you." With that I increased my pace, headed for the elevators to get out of this building.
"Lilia, wait!" Asher called. "Millie sent me. She's worried about you."
I didn't even bother to look back.
