Chapter 11
Leo POV
The memories played through my head like a movie, the scenes passing by so fast.
I saw Clover and I on a catwalk, and I was bandaging her arm.
I saw me pounding on the control console, curseing as Clover came in, calling to me that if I was swearing, she would hurt me.
I saw bright multicolored lights, tables with snacks, people danceing and Clover and me talking.
I saw Clover walk into Bunker 9 with three people following her. She introduced them as her sister and her friends.
I saw Clover screaming at me, her eyes an evil yellow green.
My mind and body traveled through the forgotten memories, picking and choosing some that hurt me so much, I almost screamed.
Then, I saw a house, a living room full of books. I looked around and saw her.
Clover.... The girl I cared so much for, was choking... She had to be alive... A message came into my head, startling me....
Clover POV
As the necklace squeezed, I remembered all the times that Leo hugged me, kissed me, and comforted me. He would never know about me. He couldn't know about me. I remembered a part that I had read in the future....
Leo would find someone. Someone other than me.
I soon couldn't breathe. I tried so hard to take a simple breath, but the necklace stopped me.
Leo, I thought desperately, if you love me, please forgive me....
I collapsed to the floor as someone's voice filled my head.
I forgive you... And you're not leaving me that easily...
My body felt weightless and then,
POOF
I opened my eyes and gasped. White lights from every angle were pointed at me. I lifted my hand to block them from my eyes.
"Oh my gosh... Is that her?" Someone asked. It sounded male.
"Of course it's her. Who else would it be?" Another person, that sounded female, replied. I sat up and looked around. I was laying on a bed in a sick room. When I saw the people in the room, I knew exactly where I was.
I was on the Argo II. I looked around and placed a name to everyone.
Piper
Jason
Frank
Hazel
And....
I looked over to my right and saw someone else on the bed. The sheets were in a tangled mess and there was a golf putter on the floor, but I focused on the person on the bed.
It was Leo.
My eyes widened and I stood. Leo got up as well and stepped toward me, now only a few inches away.
"Y-you remembered..." I said with disbelief. Leo smiled,
"Of course I did... How could I forget?" I smiled as well and Leo pulled me in for a kiss. We held it for five long seconds. When I pulled away, I hugged him, putting my head on his shoulder.
"I'm sorry... I am so sorry I left you..." I began to sob. Leo ran his fingers through my hair,
"Shhh..." He said, "it's okay... It wasn't your fault..." The others in the room tried to keep their distance, as if knowing that we needed space. Hazel cleared her throat. I looked over at her and smiled,
"You're my hero Hazel. Come here." I let go of Leo as Hazel stepped forward. I hugged her tightly,
"Thank you so much..." Hazel smiled and hugged in return. I let go an looked around.
"Where are Annabeth and Percy?" A tension filled the room, almost as if everyone was blaming themselves. My eyes widened.
"They're... Not back?" No one answered my question. "That's odd... They should be back by now... Unless..." I stopped. Everyone looked at me.
"What? Unless what?" Jason asked. I looked at Leo, then at the floor.
"I had to leave Leo to get the story back on track... Now that I'm back..." I began to feel horribly guilty.
They weren't coming back.
And it was my fault.
