Chapter Two - Stupid
stu·pid/ˈst(y)oopəd/
Having or showing a great lack of intelligence or common sense.
First Person POV - Madelyn Allen
When I first got to the school, I was two. I was mostly ignored, but the odd moment or two when I wasn't, I was asking for lessons. When I was five, I went to a public school. I was told to say the multiplication tables, right after the bully of the class couldn't even get to 34 counting up.
"She can't do it, she's to stupid. I bet she can't even count to three." They said.
I then proceeded to list the multiplication tables up to 15. Then I educated the class on irony.
Then, I was doing what I thought everyone did: Showing their knowledge.
Now I know knowledge is dangerous.

"Remind me why I need to do this?" I said.
"Maddy, it's not safe here for you. The Sentinel Services have been getting reports of a girl in a suit going around here. You can't get caught." Xavier started.
"Madelyn, what he's trying to say is that we can't lose you." Erik finished for him.
"You already did." I turned around and walked back through the plane, towards Ella. Ella was gifted, like me, but she controlled shadows. She was called Shadow, which wasn't a great name, but but it stuck. She was also very paranoid, so she got emotional about the smallest of things. Like one time I accidentally put the candles to the left of the icing, and she cried, saying it showed 'Fake friendship' I assured her it didn't.
"Lyn, what's wrong?" Oh, and the nicknames for me. I had tons. Xavier called me Maddy, Erik just called me Madelyn, and Lily called me Lyn, along with Ella.
"Nothing. Just-"
"Don't lie, Lyn. This is probably the last time I'll see you. And I'm not sure I know you anymore. I spent most of my life with you. Correction, I wasted most of my life with you." She snapped. Darkness climbed up the walls, and I backed up.
"Ella. St- Stop! You're going to de- destroy the plane!" I shouted. She didn't listen.
"You don't care about any of us! I bet you're glad that Raven died! At least she cared about us!" The plane started to tremble.
Then gravity interfered, and we went tumbling towards the nose of the plane.
"ELLA! STOP!" I yelled. She stopped and the plane evened out.
"Sorry, Madelyn." She turned and walked tword the back of the plane, away from me.
I decided to take a nap. I wouldn't get a ton of sleep, because I now had to be Waterlilly.
Third Person POV - The Air
As the girl walked out of the plane, she shifted a blue bag on her shoulder. She looked back in the plane longingly. Who could blame her? She was leaving her life. A man, Erik, walked out and gave her something. A necklace, no, an amulet.
She turned around and put the amulet on her neck.
First Person POV - Madelyn Allen
"Hi." I shifted my bag.
"Um.. Hi? Are you.. Madelyn? Allen?" A tall man with blue eyes asked.
"Yes. I'm Madelyn but you can call me Madelyn." I replied, still mad about my fight with Ella.
"Ok.. I'm Barry Allen. I guess you cam call me Barry, or, I mean, if you want to, um, uh, da...dad? I mean, you don't have to it was just a suggestion s-"_
" I'll call you Barry." It started to rain, and I tried to make it lighter near us. He walked me towards his car, which was a black SUV. I put my bag in the back, and played with my new amulet. It was a parting gift from Erik, and it housed a suit for Waterlilly. I was itching to try it, but I didn't have the chance. I'd only ever worn the suit once, and that was when I made it. It was a nice suit, with a nicely worn black leather jacket, ripped grey leggings, and a mask like a mardi gras mask, except with no feathers, and smaller. When I used my powers excessively, my eyes glowed blue, and shielded my identity from attackers and citizens.
When we got to my new home, Barry said that he had to go, and that I should explore the city. I decided I would explore the city, but not as Maddy, but as Waterlilly.
