Kangin lift yesung up and they rushed to the hospital. 1 hour later, doctor came out “guys, I hope all of you will stay calm. Who is responsible for him?” leeteuk raise his hand.” I need your approval for surgery. This is really important but still dangerous. You may think about it first. The chances only 40/60. The tumor is blocking his brain to enable him to stay consious”.

In the ward, no one crying this time, all of them become so strong and keep staring at yesung breathing which help by the oxygen mask. “hyung, are you gonna sign it?” donghae asking leeteuk. “ummm.. what you guys say. Tell me what should I do. What if I sign it and something bad happen to him, I will blame myself for the rest of my life” leeteuk cannot hold his tears anymore. “hyung, what if something good happen?”the conversation end that way.

Next morning leeteuk came in “I’ve sign the paper, he will have the operation this noon. I hope all of you will not blaming me if something bad happen.” Leeteuk put down his face. “no. we won’t but you yourself will put the blame on yourself.” Kangin hugging leeteuk and then they have a big hug together. “let’s pray for him”siwon whispering and everyone agreed. Before yesung gone to the OT, each of them whispering him some motivation and kiss him for maybe for the last time or maybe for new life.

Yesung woke up, looking around the room, he wasn’t in his room anymore he was now in a different room. He was hooked up on so many wires. An air mask was put on his face. He couldn’t move his body, it ached too much to, and just turning his head is making him dizzy. 

And then he heard it, a familiar cry he knew all too well. He turned his head and on the other side of the glass was his hyung and dongsaeng, with both their hands on the glass crying their little eyes out. ‘uljima’ Yesung shouted in his head. Then sleep took over once again. 

It’s been a month yesung in unconscious and then conscious and unconscious again. All the members however still on his side all the time. They waiting for yesung all these days. ‘the surgery was succeed. But.. the tumor still there. We cannot take it all out as it at a very risky. We only manage to take out ¾ of them. ‘ doctors explanation still on leeteuk’s head. He regret why he agree with yesung to not have surgery at the very first place. They should done that before. Suddenly he feel someone tapping on his shoulder. “what were you thinking? All safe now. We just have to wait for him. We promise him we’ll wait for him right?”heechul and leeteuk then have serious conversation. 

Then eunhyuk running towards them while screaming “hyung!hyung!yesung hyung has awake! Hyung!” eunhyuk then grab his hyung’s hand and running back to yesung place. As the enter the room, yesung smiling at them which make them crying. Leeteuk was too glad until he bend his knee on the floor with tears in his eyes. “kunbapku my god” he said his glad to god. Yesung just keep looking at his members saying nothing. Each day after that day have become day of full of hopes. The hospital become their second house. Fans and other celebrities friend has send wake up and get well card and bandana, caps, hats,as well as flowers. 

Few days after that yesung does not need the air mask anymore. Sungmin looked at Yesung who was wearing a sapphire blue bandanna. Because of the surgery and chemo before, Yesung has loosing hairs. The bandanna was a gift from one of the fans to him, and for now he have a lot of hat, bandana and caps. 

“yah Yesung ah!” then yesung turned to look at his members. “kangin ah” yesung saying that word as kangin ran to him for a hug. “hey kangin’s not the only one here you know” leeteuk smiled widely. “teukie hyung ”. Heechul smiles and walks toward Yesung. “okay?”,Yesung smiled “hmm”.“yah hyung you need to hurry up and get better! The ELF’S are crying for their one and only YESUNG to come back” shindong said as he muched on Yesung’s food.“yah shindong hyung! That’s hyung’s food!” Eunhyuk shouted as he smacked shindong on the head. “it’s alright, I don’t think I have the strengths to chew right now, go ahead dong dong eat up”. As yesung said that. “hyung, it’s been a long time I didn’t hear you call me that. It’s sound so good”. Meanwhile leeteuk still thinking and worry about yesung ‘how can I leave him? He doesn’t have the strengths to do anything!’ leeteuk shouted in his mind. Everyone was makings jokes and laughing at shindong, no one noticed that leeteuk was on the verge of breaking down. Yesung then notice that leeteuk was missing. He then looked around the room and saw leeteuk sitting on the floor with tears in his eyes. 

“hyung ah” Yesung whispered everyone stopped and looked for leeteuk. “hyung ah? What’s wrong? Why are you crying?” leeteuk looked up and got up. He walked slowly towards Yesung. “I just glad we didn’t lose you” leeteuk said sadly. “ahh..hyung you really mess up the day.”shindong keep eating yesung’s food. “he still need chemo, for that ¼ part still in his head. We must do it as soon as possible before it grows again.”doctors explaning a few things to leeteuk, kangin, hankyung and heechul.” I thought he’s fine now and don’t need that painful treatment anymore!”heechul cannot hold his temper.” Hechul ahh..stop it just calm down. He need that to be healthy again”leeteuk calmly said to heechul.

When four of them walking into the ward, they see all the dongsaeng and yesung were very happy , laughing and smile widely. “yah..yah why are you guys so happy.? I wanna know too” kangin don’t want to be left out. Hechul suddenly went out and hankyung followed him.everyone in the ward was shocked from heechul action. “yah, waekudae?. Don’t be like this.”hankyung tapping on heechul’s back. “I just cannot see them very happy without knowing nothing. Especially yesung. Yesung didn’t know he need to go through that painful time again. I cannot bear to see him suffer like before.”heechul with tears in his eyes. “not only you, everyone feels the same. Just don’t show that to yesung. If he see this he will lost the spirit to get cured”hankyung in unorganized hangul calm heechul down.after have some time, both of them went back to the room with food. They all eat happily. That night, reowook turn to stay in hospital as well as siwon. 

In the car on the way back to their house, “hyung, when you gonna tell yesung he have to go through chemo again”. “soon”.“today just let us the hyung visit yesung. We have something to talk with him.” Leeteuk said to his dongsaeng. “??why?” donghae asking weird of his hyung action. “after we talk to him we tell you the details ok?”kangin tapping on donghae head.

“hyung, you’re here. I wanna go home. Can you tell the doctors asking for me”yesung holding leeteuk hand. He feel so much better. “before that I wanna tell you something. Something about your illness” leeteuk grab yesung hand and hold it tightly. Yesung change his face,”wae yo? Just tell me”.” You know that only ¾ of the tumor has been taken out. And there is still ¼ in your head. So you need to go through chemoteraphy again.”leeteuk looking straight to yesung eyes while talking to him. Suddenly yesung smile, “it’s ok..i’m fine with it”. Four of them was shocked with his answer “yesung ah, you will be weak and no strength like before!” heechul cannot believe yesung answer. “hmm it’s ok.. besides, I have all of you beside me. I’m fighting this things for you guys, for our dream”.

yesung continue his chemoteraphy. He want to stay at the hospital from the beginning until the end of the treatment. After few chemo, yesung become so weak and cannot do anything on his own as he didn’t have any strength. As everyone was busy at this time, they cannot avoid the schedule.

One day, leeteuk have something to do and so do the others but leeteuk promised yesung that it won’t be long. “hyung ah, it’s ok just go I’ll be alright by myself” Yesung whispered as he lay in bed too tired to move from the chemotherapy he’s been taking. heechul sighed and pouted. “Sungie ah I don’t want to leave you” he moved closer towards the bed. Yesung even though he was tired lifted his arms open for heechul who ran straight into him. Yesung felt like someone was taking a knife and stabbing his heart a thousand times. He slowly sat up in bed and grabbed heechul into his arms.

Everyone in the room was quiet, no one knew what to do anymore. It was hurting all of them to have to see their friends go through so much pain. “I was going to be here fighting my cancer for all of you”. “ah-ahroso” heechul stutter to say. Teukie then moves toward kangin. “Kangin ah I can’t do this, I don’t want to leave him like this” teukie started crying.

It had been one week since all his member left for their suju activities and Yesung was now fighting the cancer. “Hump it was my cancer to fight for in the beginning. But what will others do if I no longer can fight for my life?” 

Chemotherapy was longer today as Yesung finally finished and was wheeled back to his room. Nurse knew better then to talk after a patient’s chemo. Yesung was helped into his bed. The nurse left him there alone to rest. Yesung’s head was throbbing with dizziness, he wanted nothing more but to see the toilet where he could do all his vomiting. He wanted nothing more then to be free of the everyday sickness that he had. He wanted nothing more then to be with his friends singing on stage, to be with his fans, to be with the one he love. “ah” Yesung whispered out when he finally finished vomiting. “hyung ah, I need you so bad”That was the last thing he said before darkness took over.

That night after received the news of yesung has passed out, they begging the producer to let them perform first and luckily the PD understand them and allow it. They perform very well and thus leave as soon as they finished but before leaving they told the crowd that they are leaving that time because of yesung condition. ‘Yesung ah, wait, just wait for few hours and hyung’ll be there with you. I can’t wait to see you, oh how I wish I was there with you already! Yesung ah!’

With both hands on the glass crying his little eyes out. ‘yesung ah’ leeteuk keep calling yesung name. With the glass window being the only thing separating them. “Yesung ah wake up, wake up sungie”. As if on cue after teukie said that, Yesung’s hands started moving. Yesung woke up, looking around the room. He was hooked up on so many wires. An air mask was put on his face.It ached too much, and just turning his head is making him dizzy. 

as he turned his head and on the other side of the glass was leeteuk, “DOCTOR! NURSE! SOME BODY!”. the nurse and doctors ran in. after twenty minutes of examination the doctors left the room. “leeteuk shii?”

“yes?”wh-whats wrong doctor?”“he’s awake now, you may see him. Its nothing to worry about, he’s just too weak and I think he thinking too much that make him stress a bit. Try talk to him”. The doctor walk away then. Leeteuk rush to see yesung and he is resting calmly on his bed. “how do you feel?”. “hyung..hyung.” Yesung smiling at leeteuk and didn’t say a word except hyung. looks like he missing his hyung so much.” Yesung ah, hyung really sorry that I leave you. I wont be next time okay?” yesung nodding his head.

“yesung ah lately what are you thinking?” yesung surprise with that question and keep shaking his head Anything wrong?” do tell me I just don’t want you to stress up your mind. Just focus on your health. Promise me?”. Yesung nodding his head then.

“I have good news to all of you” the doctors said in front of all members including yesung. Everyone waiting for the doctor’s good news. “the tumor now have stop growing and it getting smaller. And now its really small that make yesung shii only have to eat medicine at the right time to prevent it growing again.”.”means that he no need chemo anymore?”. Kangin asking the doctor with such serious face. “exactly, but he needs to take care of his health and his food which I will explain later in my room to prevent it start growing again. So who want to come to my room except yesung shii”.leeteuk, kangin and siwon followed the doctor.”wahh..its really a good news. Yesung ah, you will not suffering in pain anymore”.heechul hugging yesung and kiss his forehead. Everyone was so happy and glad because finally yesung free from those suffering. “I’m glad” yesung thank god.

After one week from that day, “another good news, yesung kun, you may discharged today”. “really doc?”. Leeteuk asking for confirmation. “but I still….”. Yesung still not sure. “yah, its okay. Its good you can go home today. We can help you move around plus you are not heavy as before. It so easy to lift you up even leeteuk hyung can carry you”. Kangin add. “kangin..” leeteuk glared seriously to his dongsaeng.“ok then”. Leeteuk and hankyung start packing up yesung’s things since 4 month he is in hospital. “hyung..wanna me to help you..i feel uneasy to just see both of you packing.”yesung slowly lift up his body to sitting position.”it’s okay. Just sit there. I’ll take your shirt for change” hankyung find some thick shirt and long sleeve for yesung since it’s cold outside. “where the hell is kangin” leeteuk keep mumbling alone while packing things. While they are packing and yesung change his shirt, “I’m back, sorry didn’t help you guys packing”. He then help yesung wear his shirt. “where the hell have you been?”. Leeteuk asking as kangin didn’t mention where he goes. “umm? Ah no where..”.

Then siwon came by, “aja..let’s go home” yesung smile widely. “you wanna walk or I can find wheel chair” siwon was going to go out to find a wheelchair. “hmmm.. can I walk hyung?”teukie was looking at yesung. “yeh?it’s okay if you wanna walk.” Yesung then smile. They walk together to the car park with siwon holding yesung walking Some fans are waiting outside while shouting ‘ yesung oppa get well soon, saraangae!!’ yesung was so touched hearing that.

When they arrive, “can you still walk until upstairs?” leeteuk was helping yesung to get off the car. “hmm,, I think so”.”hyung, don’t push yourself if you can’t” siwon said while turn off the engine. Leeteuk and hankyung both holding to yesung while they walking to the lift. “hyung, it’s feel so great that I’m home now.””yes, but still we need to careful in everything you do. You know right?” yesung nodding his head.

Flashback:

‘ok..he can be discharged now but still he still have that thing in his head. With that size we cannot do anything for him so you may find other alternative like herbs or eat a lot of anticancer food in order to prevent the tumor get bigger again. One more thing, because of the chemo, his imunisation now quite weak. Observe him and avoid him from doing such heavy activities like heavy dance, jumping, running, swimming for a long period. He must have enough sleep and rest. Come for check up every two weeks from now and if he got fever or got sick just bring him as soon as possible to the nearest hospital. I hope you have clear with all these explanation. Ha, his medication must be taken on time too. Don’t let him be too tired.

“hyung!”leeteuk was shocked when kangin tap his shoulder. “yah.. we are home!!” leeteuk with a big smile walk in with yesung by his side. Other member was welcoming yesung with mini party. A lot of ballons and cake too and also banner done by themselves. Yesung smile widely to his members “ahhh..".they spend the night together 13 people chatting and laughing together as they have been in agony before.

Yesung feel so sleepy and tired and he feel that he going to fall asleep at anytime but then heechul notice him.”yah..are you sleepy?tired?” heechul asking yesung while holding his arm. “let’s get in your room.” Kangin pull yesung up and hold him until his room. He wait there until yesung fall deeply asleep and then switch off the lights. 

“he already asleep” kangin said while close yesung’s door room. When he take his seat beside heechul “hmm, he must be really tired. For all this three month he just lying on bed. I’m sure he truly really tired but then happy.” Everybody nodding their head once hearing siwon words. They then do the cleaning together and then when to sleep. As usual, leeteuk at yesung room sleeping together with reowook and kangin sleeping on the floor with blanket.

On next morning, yesung wake up earlier, he saw his hyung and dongsaeng deeply asleep “maybe they were too tired of taking care of me all this while. Sarangaeyo”,yesung kind of whispering to them. He then walks out and go to the living room. All of them were still asleep. He then take a chair and seat at the corner see them sleeping. But then, hankyung wake up, “yesung ah, you awake?”.siwon who were beside also awake “hyung, morning”.sungmin get up and have a sit position “you wanna eat now, I’ll make breakfast”. “no.no. just sleep I miss seing all of you sleeping together like this.” Yesung smile and then push sungmin back to lying position. “yesung ah!yesungie!where are you?” leeteuk shouting from inside the room which make all of them awake. “ah.. hyung I’m here. You awake?”.”yah, why you didn’t wake me up.?”leeteuk put his hand over yesung’s head and kiss it and yesung smile cutely.That morning they make breakfast together and even tidy up their dorm together. It has been so long they never spend time like that. They staying at the dorm all the day watching tv and those things.

“hyung, are you tired?”. Leeteuk look at yesung with surprise “no.waeyo?”.”if not, can we go walk somewhere. It’s been a long time I didn’t gather with everybody like this. Can we?” yesung keep looking at leeteuk and the others keep looking at yesung with different facial expression. “aja..but breakfast first, then your medication, then we can go” sungmin reply while get up to the kitchen. Leeteuk looking at sungmin “y..yes. absolutely. Aja..get up everybody let’s get ready for picnic”.”but hyung they are still sleeping, let them be I miss this one too.”yesung look back at the other who were still sleeping. Leeteuk was touched by yesung action thus he rushed to the kitchen to sungmin. “ahh..hyung..waegure?we have promise right. We should be happy now it’s not he’s gonna die”.sungmin whispering angrily to leeteuk. Leeteuk was apologizing to him.

as eunhyuk wake up yesung were beside him lying. “ohh..hyung?why are you here?you staring at us while we were sleeping?” eunhyuk asking yesung as he woke up and yesung nodding his head.”it’s yesung hyung for sure” shindong get up and have a big laugh. “you touching our face right?” eunhyuk asking yesung, “ahh..i forgot to do so..next time”. Donghae on the other side still sleeping. He didn’t realize yesung were beside him. eunhyuk keep donghae from being agresive towards yesung. Sometime, donghae’s feet was going up on yesung and eunhyuk is the one who prevent it. “yah lee donghae, wake up or please sleep like a person” “ah, why you are so loud this morning? Oh!hyung? its you beside me. I thought its eunhyuk. Did I hurt you hyung?” donghae quickly get up and check on yesung. “I’m fine. Stop checking like that”.They have a very happy morning that day.

“go wash yourself, we wanna go for walk all together at han river” eunhyuk turn to kangin surprisely “for real hyung?”and kangin nodding his head and go upstairs to get yesung things prepared. “yesung ah, come let’s get ready” he then grab yesung hand. In yesung’s room, kangin push softly yesung body to sit position and start searching for suitable clothes for him. “yah, what you are doing? I can do on my own kangin ah.”yesung get up and together choose what shirt he want and he chose a red baby-t. “yah, it’s not thick enough. Wear this one”,kangin hand over a winter sweater for him. “shiro..it’s too thick and it’s not even winter now, it’s autumn” yesung put back and hold his choice tightly while staring at kangin deeply. Seing that kind of respond, “ahh,kuremyun, just wear it.”yesung smile.while yesung change his pyjama, kangin put all yesung medication including air mask inside a bag. “kangin ah, why are you bringing that thing. I can breath on my own!”.”it’s just for emergency if someone need it” kangin looking at yesung with straight face.both of them then go downstairs and wait for everybody get ready. “how if there were lots of fans, how we want to control them?” eunhyuk asking kangin while helping yesung with the bandana and eunhyuk even help yesung tied a key before put bandana on it. Yesung keep holding the bandana kind of uneasy if he’s just the one who wear it. But then eunhyuk, donghae and siwon go get a bandana too. Kangin then came from nowhere holding a winter coat and everyone staring at him. “yesung ah, wear this. Your shirt is not thick enough and this to avoid bacteria” he put it on yesung. Yesung shook his head as he hate to wear face mask. “yesung ah, just wear it. We don’t want you to get cold or whatever” leeteuk then helping kangin put it on yesung.”aja…”they then walk happily.

As they predicted, along the road they walk by, fans recognize them immediately and lots of picture were taken. Yesung keep smiling and take off the mask but kangin keep put it back on him, and thanks everyone while other also smiling but still guarding yesung in the middle if there are fans who’ll approach him. They didn’t allow anyone to get near to yesung. hearing shouting from fans, yesung feel very touched.

When they approaching places with benches, only two of it empty but then the other people decide just to sit on the grass and make a big circle facing the river. They sing, dance, joking around until almost night came. “I’m so happy” yesung then hug leeteuk from the back. “wanna me piggy back you?”leeteuk already move his head to lift yesung up but then yesung jump down back “no” yesung then grab leeteuk hand and hold it until they reach home. As they almost there, eunhyuk, donghae and siwon running back and seem its look exciting, forgetting about his illness, yesung unhold his hand which make leeteuk surprise and yesung seem start to running too. Leeteuk go after him and grab his hand “yah, don’t run. You might get tired then.” Yesung face change and he stop running. He then lie his head on leeteuk’s shoulder. “this better. Yahh, don’t running like that. Just walk together. Come back here.” Eunhyuk heard on his hyung and come back with others. “yesung hyung wanna run like you guys too just now. Teukie hyung after him” sungmin whispering at eunhyuk and he nodding his head.

After one week, today is yesung first stage with super junior after all this while he got sick. They gonna sing their light song for yesung preference. Yesung still wearing bandana wherever he goes even while performing. His hair is not fully grown yet.
