Jack’s P.O.V

I’m in art; bored. We’re told to paint a picture that was given to us by a teacher. I was given a moon which I found simple but then Mrs Aurora added “in detail” which made me groan. I heard a few snickers behind me and the girl who was giving out photos was talking with Rap and they started giggling. Rap gave her a photo and I heard “Elsa”, I took a quick glance at that photo and it was a sinking ship. When time came to hand Elsa the photo the rumour had spread and the class was in a laughing fit. Elsa received the photo and the class went silent.  You could see the tears in her eyes and she darted out of the classroom.

            “What is going on?!” Mrs Aurora asks aggressively. Anna shrugs and looks at the photo Elsa was given. Anna stared at the photo in shock and gives it to Mrs Aurora and runs after sister. By now all of the class is peeing themselves at the reactions and Mrs Aurora is sitting at her desk…broken. Now I’m confused.  The Delle sisters return with red eyes and they take their seats.  I don’t get it. What did that photo mean?

            “I will assign you with partners to make a 3D model of this school. My assistant will pass out a 2D map. The partners are:

Johnny Stein and Mavis Dracula

Iana White and Mark Smiths

Jack Frost and Anna Delle”

Great now I’m partnered up with a Delle. I zoned out after that and I stared out the window.

The bell chimes the victory of the end of the school day and I mentally cheer.

I march up to Delle junior’s (Anna’s) locker.

            “Your house I’ll be there at 4:30 have the supplies and materials ready for when I be there.” I say and being the person I am I walk away not caring about her reply.

I am in the Delle’s home but Elsa’s not here.

            “Where’s your sister?” I ask from curiosity.

            “At work, why do you ask?” Anna replies.

            “Why does she work?” I ask, once again out of curiosity.

            “Because unlike you we have to earn a place at school and we are not rich as you can tell, we are not stuck up and snobbish like you are and if it weren’t for Elsa I wouldn’t have a future and she is wrecking her life up so I can have a better one!” Anna shouts. She calms down a little but she still has a flare.

            “I’m home!” I hear. It must be Elsa. She walks in and she has dark circles under her eyes.

            “How’s the project coming?” She asks.

            “Fine.” Anna replies. Wow they are like…awkward as heck.

            “How was work?” Anna asks.

            “Umm…Anna can I speak to you; alone?” Elsa asks.

            “Sure?” Anna answers though it came out more like a question.

Anna and Elsa go to the hall, then I hear a whimper. I listen in more to their conversation.

            “How are we meant to pay for the bills Anna, it’s not going to be fine I just got fired.” I hear Elsa confess through the whimpers. A silence drifts through the air and I’m guessing they’re hugging.
