.:Chapter Four:.

Amira sat among the flowers that surrounded the area near the Boar Hat Tavern, watching the wind swat the scenery to its will. The Tavern was closed to give everyone a break because the last few weeks were more than a little hectic. Amira smiled to herself as she recalled bits from the recent weeks; she was grateful to have all her memories finally coming back to her slowly, but at most it was just fragments here or there.

Falling back, she stared up at the clouds drifting through the sky. Sighing to herself, Amira wished for the simple life she had in the past in the forest. Closing her eyes, she tried to focus on the memories , fragments of her life passing through her mind as it became more and more difficult to focus on each snippet. A shadow covered her, blocking the bright and warm sun that was casting over the land. She smiled a little, knowing of the only person that it could be.

"And what do you want?" The gentle smile still gracing her lips, as she tried to peek at the male floating above her, wanting to see his reaction.

"Wow! You have amazing senses to know that I was here. I thought I didn't make any noise." Amira watched his face lighting up with admiration.

"It's not that. You casted a shadow." She sat up leaning against her elbows, looking at the ginger haired male, the smile becoming more prominent.

"What? I didn't even realize that!" The ginger haired King buried his face in the soft pillow that was his Chastifol. She could brush her hand through his hair if she but reached out, he was that close. The tips of her fingers brushing lightly against the tips of his ear that was still visible. The auditable gasp escaping the folds of the pillow, as King peaked at her over his Chastifol.

"The tips of your ears still turn red when you're embarrassed. It's just as cute now as it was the first time I met you." Amira smiled as a memory flashed through her mind; pressing the tip of her forefinger to King's temple; she passed the snippet of memory to him as well. Showing him that sweet fragment of memory, she blushed as the memory became stronger and clearer.

~Memory Fragment~

Amira sat on the bank of the lake nestled in the middle of the fairy forest, enjoying the cool water against her legs. Cupping the water in her hands, she poured it over her face, feeling the ecstasy the coolness brought her. Pushing off the ledge of the bank, she sank into the water, gasping at the cold shocking her body momentarily. Taking a deep breath, she dunked her entire person under the surface of the water, counting slowly until her lungs screamed for her to resurface.

Amira broke the surface of the water as she smoothed her illuminating hair away from her face as her screaming lungs claimed their prize of air. Hearing a gasp, her eyes sprung open, zeroing on a ginger haired male floating mere inches from her face, completely naked.

Ever so slowly her eyes made their way to the male's flushed face; as their eyes met, she could feel the blood rushing to her own face, as she screamed while folding her arms across her chest as she ducked into the water to shield her body.

A splash alerted her that the naked male that had been floating in the air was now sputtering in the water from the shock. Amira turned her back to the unknown male, her wings wrapping around herself as she tried to add the extra coverage.

"You're a G- Goddess!" The male's voice was soothing to her ears as she peaked over her shoulder to look back at the male.

"And what of it?!" She could barely squeak the question back of the male as she felt her body heating up.

"The Goddess race is to be said to have perished thousands of years ago." The blush that had settled across his cheeks growing deeper as his eyes took in the smoothness of her back and the lusciousness of her feathered wings.

"I was but a small child when the war was raging on. I don't remember what exactly happened, but I know that I'm the only one that still roams this world in physical form." Amira ducked her head, peering at the male through her thick pale lashes.

"How have I never seen you in this forest before?" The male scratched the back of his head, laughing slightly before he spoke again. "I'm Harlequin, Fairy King of the Fairy realm."

He stretched his hand out for her to shake before realizing the situation they were both in. The blush deepened across his face raising to the tips of his ears. He yanked his hand back apologizing heavily as he covered his face. Amira smiled softly at the bashful nature of the man behind her, adoring the blush that was spreading down his neck across his chest. Suddenly a burning sensation seared the middle of her back, causing her cry out as she lost her balance falling backwards in the water towards Harlequin.

"Are you okay? What's happening?"

Harlequin held her back against his chest as he checked her for injuries, zeroing in on the inflamed insignia of a bear burning into the skin of her back between her wings. Harlequin gently touched the insignia, a moaning gasp escaping Amira mouth as she flung her head back against his shoulder. Her hands released their hold across her chest to cover her mouth as she tried to muffle the moans that she couldn't help making as he continued to gently stroke the bear insignia.

"This looks just like the insignia on my leg..." Harlequin muttered the words to himself, not realizing the state that he was inflicting on Amira.

"Please..." The single word slipped from her lips as she licked her dry lips, another moan slipping free as the tips of his fingers brushed against her wings.

"I'm sorry! I don't know why I touched you without your permission." He jerked his hand away from her back, causing the whining mew to emerge from Amira's throat.

Turning around to face Harlequin, Amira rose to the tips of her toes, pressing her parted lips against his. Her nails dug into the flesh of chest nearly to the point of drawing blood as she tried to deepen the kiss.

~End Memory Fragment~

Amira's face was flaming as the memory came to an end as she watched his face closely. The gloss that had covered his eyes, as he reveled in the memory was clearing, the red deepening as he was coming back to reality.

"That memory... that was when we first met, yes?" Amira nodded her head in agreeance. "What happened after we..." King didn't finish the question, as Amira's lips covered his own. Breaking the kiss, Amira hovered against his lips, barely a whisper away as she spoke.

"I can show you if you would like my King."
