Chapter 21 yeet
"WHAT DID YOU DO TO MY MATE!!" Reaper roared, his grip on his scythe became tighter.
The three skeletons were in Ink's office, the smiling creator stared them down.
"Would you like some coffee reaper?" He changed the subject. Reaper blinked before shouting again, "DON'T CHANGE THE SUBJECT INK! WHAT DID YOU DO TO GENO!!". Ink hummed, "I did what I needed to do to keep my multiverse alive, even if it means... causing some certain Sanses pain". The god of Death growled, he reached out his hand and grabbed Ink's arm.
...
...
...
Nothing happened. "W-what?" Reaper gasped.
"You actually tried to kill me... and you actually hoped that it would work?" Ink erupted into a crazed laugh. "That's hilarious! D-don't you a-agree Lust!" He wheezed, "I-it's funny how you think you can kill ME! I thought you were smarter than that! Wasn't Geno originally a science sans? D-didn't he tell you anything!" Ink seemed insane as he cackled. "Gods can't be killed".
Death knew that, but he didn't think that Ink was a true god like he was. "Gods can be killed by other gods, how do you think Life died? So why aren't you dead?" "Life died because someone is helping you, perhaps Crow? He is the deity of death here after all". Reaper was confused, "what?".
Lust nudged Reaper, "The door behind us is locked, the window however.... Do you choose to defenestrate or be defenestrated?" Lust whispered while Ink continued to laugh. "I would...rather know what it means..." Reaper answered hesitantly. "Don't worry, this shouldn't hurt ooooonnnneee biiit.... NOW!" Lust successfully yeeted Reaper out the window before jumping through it as well, he looked back at Inks wide grin. "Bai~" he purred before he vanished from view.
"HEY REAPER, CAN YOU HEAR ME??!!" Lust screeched as they fell, he had somehow quickly caught up to his fellow friend and was now falling beside him. The screaming God of death gave no reaction that showed he had heard what Lust had said. The skeleton swore quietly before grabbing Reaper and teleported them both to a forest.
"WHAT IN THE STARS LUST!" Reaper hissed "We could have died!". Lust seemed to be deep in thought. "Lust?" "Weren't you quieter before?" Lust asked. "What?" "I mean that I remember you a lot quieter before when you were with Geno, heck you never even raised your voice". Reaper was utterly confused, "what do you mean? I raise my voice all the time". "You... do?" Lust looked extremely confused but in the end, they both dismissed it knowing that whatever Ink did to Geno wasn't good and that they should be focused on saving death's mate.
"Wait, were you doing an Ink by changing the topic?"
"... I shall admit nothing"
'I'm coming for you Geno, wait for me' Reaper thought before hurrying up to catch up to Lust.
(i got lazy at the end)

Err- Mercy looked around the staff lounge. There was a long table and around a dozen chairs, a plant sat sadly in the corner as it slowly withered from the abuse of forgetting to be cared for... just like young Gradient... a simple check was all he had needed to know what Gradient had gone through. Though it was nothing compared to what Mercy himself had gone through, it was still heartbreaking to know someone had gone through what this teenager had gone through. It was even more heartbreaking when he had searched through the code only to see that there were many, many more lines of code that told stories of pain and loss. It was all too familiar to his home multiverse.
"umm... "
The ex-destroyer turned around in a rush of panic, his hands reaching up automatically to pull out his strings. Thank stars he resisted. Behind him had been a skeleton that wore a blue shirt with a yellow star imprinted onto it, he also had a yellow scarf, gloves, and blueish-grey pants. The yellow eyelights and familiar golden crown confirmed Mercy's suspicions. This was this Multiverse's Dream.
"You must be the new sewing teacher! My name is Dream, my students call me Mr. Dream! I teach Astronomy! What's your name!"
The teacher stuck his hand out towards Mercy who stared at it blankly. Unlike Dream who was only wondering who Mercy was, Mercy's thoughts were flying like an inferno in his head. What was Dream doing with his hand? Was he going to hurt him? No, that wouldn't be right- What should he do???!
"Ummm..... Hello?"
Dream blinked in confusion, the new teacher was staring.
"Are you going to introduce yourself?.......no? Ok"
Dream walked out to tell the others of the new, strange teacher.
======== ========
"So.... Why did you call me all this way Fate obsessed boy?"
The golden-eyed skeleton mused.
"You know full well what I want" The other skeleton answered.
He stirred the cup of tea with a small spoon. "Poison in my drink, such a cliche idea. I don't know if I should be offended that you think I'd be stupid enough to accept a drink from you of all people or if I should be honored that you consider me a threat." The creator giggled. "What? Did you think I couldn't tell? I know the smell of poison and besides, it wouldn't have worked. You can't kill me."
The 'god' of positivity stiffly moved a chess piece. "I am superior to you. I will win this game whether you like it or not. Just yield".
"Hmm? You think of me as a peasant yet you attempt to play dirty? Oh my, you're such a nightmare" Another chess piece floated and landed at another spot. "I think you're just a coward".
"Shut up your insufferable, soulless god. Your power is below me whether you like it or not, it's your choice to either accept the truth or not. You will lose and I will get what I want." The chess game continued.
"I see. So you're a wolf"
"Huh?"
"If a wolf attacks his sheep, the shepherd kills the wolf, but he eats the sheep when he's hungry. A wonderful quote, am I right? You're the wolf, and I'm Shepard and the sheep if you were to describe me correctly." Ink chuckled. "What do you think, little snake?"
The skeleton that commanded the white pieces narrowed his eye sockets, his grip on the golden cloak of his getting stronger. "There are many things wrong with that statement. One, there is no way I would lose to you. Two, it's impossible for you to be two people, you cannot prey and hurt yourself in that way, and three, what do you mean snake?"
The red-eyed skeleton laughed again. "That's an easy answer, you're like the snake in that strange human story, Adam and Eve. The snake that brainwashed them into eating the apples of the tree, a tree, weren't you supposed to protect a certain plant as well?"
"....shut it, you insolent creator, my past is nothing like that horrid story"
Ink grinned and was suddenly holding the skeleton up in the air by the neck. "Now that's no way to speak to someone who's stronger than you, not when you have lost the game."
The guardian growled and struggled. "L-let of me! Y-you have yet to wi-" he let out a choked gasp as a long glowing spear embedded itself into the skeleton's chest. "W-what?" he coughed out. His eyelights darted towards the shadows where he finally noticed a small figure standing there, barely visible.
"Oh? Did I forget some important details? Well, for one, I was never the one playing this game of chess. When we made our bet, you had said 'win a game of chess against me. If I win, I get what I want and if you win, you get what you want'. You never said I had to be the one to play it, only win it. Soooo...."
"Y-you had someone else win it for you. You cheating BASTA-" another spear impaled the poor skeleton, half of his skull shattered from the weapon.
"My my, such a foul mouth. There are children present"
A child? How had he lost against a child?! "Y-you.... W-w-will p-pay.... O-our p-pledge makes sure of it....."
"I haven't said the last detail yet dreamy," no.... "Checkmate"
The Dream sans completely froze as his eye lights immediately darted to the chess game. "I....you cheat-"
"You never said the rules, and our pledge only mentioned what would happen when one of us won." The Ink giggled in Malice. "I know how your magic works dreamy, any pact, pledge, or promise anyone makes to you becomes bound to the deity, Karma's magic. Then, if any were to break the pledge misfortune would be bestowed upon them."
'Dream' growled. "W-what are.... Y-you g-going to do to m-m-me?" he asked, blood starting to drip down his jaw.
"You have some interesting magic Dream, I just want to borrow it. You have more than enough and besides, I'll give you a little gift in return. Don't worry, you won't feel a thing, it will be painless. After this, you'll wake up in your own multiverse completely healed with absolutely no memory of what happened here." Ink smiled.
The Dream sans could feel himself falling unconscious, his ability to stay awake draining quickly. His last words to Ink? "S-s...screw you." He rasped out before the never-ending void of the mindscape consumed him. Huh, It was actually pleasant.
Ink stared at the Dream sans a little longer before growling. "How did he see you?" he hissed at the child. The small skeleton flinched and answered softly, "Blessing! Dream has the ability to see ghosts, even spirits.". "Wouldn't that be a good thing for me to know before we made the bet" He hissed. "No matter. Let's just do what I came to do and get this over with. I still can't believe that stupid god jumped out the window with that pervert, this will make sure it doesn't happen again."
The child watched silently, the four wings that sprouted from his back twitched nervously.
"For star's sake, just tell me what you want! Your fidgeting is annoying me!" Ink shouted in frustration, his red target eyelights glowing furiously.
"Y-you see, i-i" "GET TO THE POINT ALREADY!" Ink screamed again causing the child to immediately shrink back into the shadows.
"S-something left a piece of p-...paper? I-in the s-soulscape somehow, it was called an 'i-i-invitation?' or something. B-by someone c-called 'S-Shell' or something.... T-there was also an s-small p-picture of a c-cat dragon th-thing...." The child struggled to talk, many of the words being strange and new to him. "I w-was wondering i-if I cou-could g-go-" "Oh my stars- YES!" Ink screeched in joy. "I wanted to get rid of you for a bit anyway, this will be a vacation for me! Go! Shoo! I'll restore your memories just for that timeline! I expect you to be back in a few days!?"
The child nodded quickly before vanishing, gone from this multiverse. Ink immediately felt the effect on his soul. "Welp, now I feel empty, anyways! Back to business! That freaking 'god' better not mess up my puppet when I get it back."
