"Finally, you're home, you delinquent wolf! What were you doing out so late? I've been waiting here all evening." You put your hands on your hips, but you weren't really angry. Your heart was filled at the sight of the big, grey wolf.

Legoshi's eyes widened and just as he clicked the door closed, you ran over to you. Wrapping you in his arms, he collapsed down onto the floor with you, tears welling in his eyes.

"Y-You're so tall now..." His voiced wavered, trying . "As tall as me..."

"A year and a half does something to a girl..." you tentatively wrapped your arms around him.

"I'm just so glad that you're safe. So glad. I've been so worried." He whispered in your ear. "I've been drinking kopi luwak, hanging around the Shishigumi and Louis, I got a tattoo, got a criminal record, I lost all my teeth..." He looked embarrassed, having been caught in the midst of his reckless behavior. Would you think he was ugly now? A criminal that didn't deserve your love?

"None of it matters to me. I'm glad to see you. I have something for you..." You stayed still in his arms but allowed your cold snout to rest on his head.

"Will you stay? Stay the night?" His voice had a whine to it, making him sound more like his actual age and his dark, longing, eyes looked into yours. To his surprise, they weren't empty, nor angry or any other of the emotions he was used to seeing. There was something like... happiness. And it filled his heart to see it.

"Yeah..." You dug around your pocket while still in his grasp. It was a safe spot, and you had never realized it more so than now. "C-Can I read this to you? I wrote it for you... You could consider it a response to your confession all that time ago..."

Legoshi nodded and nuzzled into your neck. He wanted to groom you. Honestly, he wanted to do more than that, but withheld out of respect for you. It was with a sense of desperation and relief that he held you; all he could do is hope that this wouldn't be an outright rejection. If he was true to himself, he probably couldn't take it. This absence had truly worked to make the heart grown fonder and he relished in the smell and feel of you and your seemingly more adult body.
