"Are you sure that's a good idea?" Gouhin looked at you with concern. "You're not really all that better..."

"I need to.  It's time that I grow up and I right my wrongs... Closure, you know." You sighed. "That and it's not really fair for him to be out searching for me when I've been here all along... do you agree?"

"I understand where you're coming from... but it's not like you're safe. Legoshi isn't the only animal looking for you. Melon is also likely scouring the city for you. He doesn't know..."

"And if he finds me, he'll know I don't have what he wants anymore. And he either leaves me alone or kills me." You shrugged, "Either way, I need to get on with my own life."

"Alright, go. But you better text me or call me every day. Can't have you disappearing again." He crossed his big arms. "And trust me, you don't want to add this panda to your search party."

Meanwhile, Louis, the Shishigumi and Legoshi were returning from the Kopi Luwak research center.

"Louis, let's disband for the night. We can't let you be in any danger." Dolph exclaimed.

"You guys are being too cautious. We're working together, aren't we?" He didn't want to admit it, but Louis didn't want to leave his ex-colleagues.

"Of course..." Legoshi had worried eyes. "That's why we need to get away from you right now. We don't want to think you look delicious..."

Louis laughed and smiled. "The relationship between carnivores and herbivores is so difficult to manage." He turned to leave, understanding it wouldn't be for long. "See you later. Your food is leaving the premises."

And with that, the rest of the crew disbanded, with Legoshi hopping on the subway. This gave him time to think.

... Only carnivores have it rough... that was always the case. The carnivores are the powerless and pathetic ones.  My body right now, after that drink, is legitimately desiring herbivores and... other... things... This feels like my meat withdrawal after I ate Louis' foot. Or when I saved YN from the Shishigumi. I feel like my act of predation and Melon's existence are similar agonies. One that omnivores can sympathize with easily. I'm not surprised that Melon is obsessed with her. She's the closest thing to him.

Suddenly his ears drooped and his eyes fell downward.

I miss her so much. YN, I can only hope that you're okay. I know why you rejected me the last time I saw you. I would probably have done the same to me. But I am taking responsibility. I am making myself into someone that you can trust and see in your life. One day, I hope you'll see it, but for now I just want you to be safe. All I can ask is that you're alive and happy-- with or without me.

But that's not something I can focus on at this very second. I need to get to my room without touching a single herbivore and go to bed! Right now!

And he exited the subway and went up to his room in the hidden condominium.
