NIKITA was fourteen when she first met Blackbeard, scared and alone on a beach. The horrible man famed for his ruthlessness was not so without cause. He saved her, then she stowed away on his ship.

⠀⠀⠀Blackbeard wanted to threaten the seas, show to the world that even with a girl on his ship nothing could stop him. And for ten years, Nikita had been at his side, becoming both a skilled pirate and the daughter of Blackbeard. 

⠀⠀⠀While sailing the high seas, they cross paths with the Gentlemen Pirate. An odd man who had left his fancy life and now sailed with a crew full of imbeciles. However, after rescuing them from the Spaniards, Blackbeard grows intrigued with the man. Rather than killing the crew of the Revenge, Blackbeard keeps them alive and grows fond of them.

⠀⠀⠀As his attention diverts from that of his old life, including Nikita, she begins to question if the time had come where Blackbeard would abandon her. Just as her mother did, as her father, and all the friends she had in a past life. It was the natural course of life for her.

⠀⠀⠀To distract herself, she befriends one of the pirates of Stede's crew, Bash. The two hit it off well, growing fond of one another. However, Nikita begins to learn things she never learned before and it grows wearier every day.

Anyways, moving past whatever that was...

This fic is very much about found family between Nikita and Blackbeard but also a major part of her story is learning who she is. Especially romantically, and the 'romance' happens pretty quick but as it went through the show I tried to pace it well despite the limited time. 

I also literally wrote all of it the episodes in a weekend. I have everything drafted and it just needs editing. I literally have no idea what came over me but I knew I needed to get it all down before posting because otherwise I'd be sad if no one really interacts with this story.

Now, it's okay because this is the most self-indulgent fic I've written and now you just get to be apart of it if you want too.

I hope the one person who felt like reading this enjoys it. It will probably just be me reading it, but I'm fine with that.
