A loud drum sounds and the announcer comes out.

"And that is the end of round one!" An eruption of both cheers and boos go through the crowd. Cara gets up dusting her self off as she sends glares my way.

I try to swallow the feeling of actually wanting to win. To actually try to beat her.

I don't know why; maybe because it's a fair fight. I wanted to show I could beat her, I wanted to use my powers and actually beat her.

I look down at my hands.

I am a dragon. Dragons are ruthless, mean creatures. I am also human, I feel things, like empathy, and anger.

Being a dragon though makes the anger more powerful, the greed more satisfying.

My family abused me, and my mate rejected me. I have nothing left. Nothing holding me back from letting the dragon take over and the human die.

I clinch my fist and look up meeting her glare with a new flame in my heart.

"Fighters get ready!" The announcer shouts as I steady myself.

The bell rings and a growl escapes her throat as she charges at me. I slide to the right just in time and turn hitting her in the back with a fire ball.

She falls on her face from the blast. She yells in frustration as she pushes her self up. She comes at me again I block a swing and punch her in the face in return.

She grabs my hair and pulls it down.

I growl and grab her long hair. I ignite it in flames. She drops me and screams as her hair burns.

She drops to the ground and rolls, by the time the flames die most of her hair is gone.

Cara feels of her hair and screams out as tears flow down her face.

I look around as she has a tantrum.

"Uh Well I guess that concludes the fight! Everyone your winner."

I look around as the crowd roars in excitement.

"Ittsy!" The announcer yells as Cara is taken away.

I feel a hand grab my hand. I turn and see Jeremy with a smile on his face. "You did good, The king will be pleased."

I simply nod as he leads me out.

We walk out and I see August walking towards me, Jaiden behind him trying to catch up.

"You did well." August says simply as he looks at me. "And it looks as though I have a new fighter."

Jaiden looks at him in confusion. "What about Roger?"

He looks at Jeremy and simply says "Kill him."

Jeremy nods and walks off.

Jaidens eyes widen. "August, I spent good money on him."

He rolls his eyes and crosses his arms "It is not my fault you spent good money on a bad product."

Jaidens mouth drops open as tears fill her eyes. She then turns quickly as in attempt to hide her tears and scurries away.  August pays no mind to her as he looks at me.

"Now Jeremy will teach you how to fight professionally. When you out-do him I'll get the next best and so forth until you are able to be trained by me." August then smirks at me "If you can handle that, that is."

I don't say anything.

But I'm pretty sure fire melts ice.

I rush up into my room as soon as we get back to the castle.

I take the gear off and quickly grab a night gown. I rush into the bath and quickly get the water ready.

I peel the rest of the clothing off and sink into the bath. A sigh escaping my lips.

I soak for a few minutes and as I feel the water start to cool off I radiate warmth from my body making the water hotter. I wash my body and hair and quickly remove myself from the bath.

I dry off trying not to think of anything. I always try not to dwell on anything while soaking in a bath. It's good to relax my mind.

I'll worry over things when I try to sleep. That totally makes sense.

I towel dry and brush my hair. I put on my gown as I walk into the room turn the light out and climb into bed. My head falls on the pillow very ungracefully and I close my eyes.

Thoughts swirling, with tears escaping I don't remember falling asleep.

A knock sounds at my door, waking me. I slowly sit-up and walk to the door. I open it and Jeremy meets my eyes.

"Get dressed, it's time to train." He commands simply.

I raise a brow. "What about food?"

My stomach growls.

He laughs, "Trust me you don't want to eat before working out. We will be done in an hour then you may eat, after your food settles we will train more."

I raise my eyebrows as he adds "Basically training is going to be your life from now on."

I sigh "Until when?"

He thinks for a moment and finally answers me  crossing his arms. "Until you can beat August."

I shake my head "I'll never be able to."

He smirks "You are his mate, of course you can." My eyes widen at his words.

"How di-"

He holds up his calloused hand "August has never told anyone they did well, Not even Jaiden, plus you just confirmed my assumptions."

I sigh roughly, "Tell anyone you won't, correct?"

Jeremey nods. "I don't have a death wish Ittzy. Now come on we must not waste a moment more."

I walk behind him as he leads the way.

We walk into a huge room with weights and many other things I didn't exactly know the name of.

"We aren't going to start fighting just yet. You proved you know enough to last you a few rounds. We are focusing on your strength first." I nod at Jeremy's words.

He points to the track and commands "Get to it." I sigh and start to jog on the track.

"Go until you can't go anymore, today we are figuring out where you are at."

I nod and start jogging, dragons have  naturally well stamina, so this could take a while.

A few hours run by as I slow down to a stop. He nods his head at me. "So your body is in the shape of a normal dragon, though your stamina is a bit more."

I smile to myself, sneaking out late at night to run was worth it after all.

"Okay next let's lift some weights." He motions to the weights and I nod walking to them quickly.

"Alright time for lunch. I'm going to run some errands and give you a few hours to let your food settle before we continue." I nod as I walk out. I breath evenly trying to slow my racing heart.

I head to my room and wipe a wet rag down my sweaty body and change into non-sweaty clothes. A simple tan dress with sleeves.

I walk out of my room and walk down to the kitchen.
