I feel the carriage come to a halt and feel the cage lift as I am lifted out.

They carry me up the stairs and into the door of the huge midnight blue castle. As they enter I look around. Everything was mostly blue with gold trimming, some things were a cream white color. It smells like spring air.

I am sat on the floor and I hear heels clicking on the floor quickly coming to me.

"Oh goodie it's here!"

I know what you are thinking.

Dragons owning dragons? It's no different than vampires owning humans.

Plus a dragon doesn't own another dragon unless it's a runt or a hybrid of a dragon and a human.

Which I am both.

My mother went on vacation at Human Kingdom, slept with the king there and walla.

Here I am today.

Luckily I got the shifting gene. Sadly, I am a runt.

"Hurry open the cage I want to see her." The young women squealed. A man opens the cage and picks me up. He sets me up right as my legs try to stable themselves after being under my weight for so long.

"Oh wow she is a beauty. Her hair is so black. And her eyes are black as well. She must be a fire creator. Is she powerful?" She asked one of the guys in black.

"No, your majesty she has been weakened. Put in a freezer twice a month atleast." His deep voice rings through the air.

"Oh." She says as she gives me a pity look.

The girl in front of me is very beautiful. She is rather thin, until you get to her butt that is.

It put mine to shame. Her hair is a chestnut brown and her eyes are a bright yellow.

She could form a protective shield and was probably immune to a lot of mind powers. She walks up to me and tugs on my wavy hair.

She then traces my jaw line. I had a perfect diamond shape.

"They didn't know how to feed you did they." She says as she traces my cheek bones.

"Your eyes are kinda sunken in but not to bad. And your skin is milky white." She says as she examines me.

"And my love is a sucker for pointed little noses." She smiles touching my nose.

Ah so this is Augusts girlfriend. I think her name is Jaiden Grace.

"Okay she is perfect. You are dismissed." She commands. The men in black turn and quickly walk away.

She then glares down at me.

"Listen, I got you for August to be his little pet. You are not his sex slave, you will not be his lover, don't fall in love with him, I don't need you having a little crush on him, if you do I will personally kill you. Don't look him in eye. Don't speak unless spoken to. Got it?"

I nod quickly as she looks me over.

"What's your name." She asks as she continues to pick me apart with her eyes.

"Ittzy." I whisper.

"That's an odd name. Isn't it from a nursery rhyme?" She asks and I just nod looking at the ground.

I hated that nursery rhyme, my brother sung it every time he would do things to me.

"Right well you never address me by my name you can just say master or ma'am or Ms. same with August, Master or sir." She demands.

I nod and she turns on her heels. "Come," She commands. To which I quickly follow behind.

We go up a flight of stairs until we come to a dark brown door. She opens it and peeps in.

"Alright hurry before he gets here." She grabs me by my arm and drags me in.

She places me in a cage a bit bigger than what I came in and then sets me in a box and closes it.

It's dark. I guess I'm a present.

I sigh as I look around in the darkness as my sight enhances itself.

I guess I have reached an all new low. I mean seriously a pet? No wonder why humans have their own island.

I lean my head against the bar. My pointed ears twitch as I hear voices outside the box.

"Oh darling you are gonna love the present I got you." I hear Jaidens high pitched voice excitedly inform.

"Is it a coupon to get you to shut the hell up?" I hear a deep husky voice sending a chill down my spine.

"Well. No." She says sounding a little hurt.

"That's a big box Grace." He grumbles.

"It's a big gift August. Open it." She commands.

He growls at her.

"Please." She adds quickly. I hear footsteps and rustling of the box. Suddenly the top opens and the sides fall revealing my cage and my self I look around and then spot August.

Dragons have natural rough beauty but August was sculpted by God himself I swear.

His jaw is sharp cheek bones look like an artist carved them in so perfectly. His nose is even nice to look at. On his perfect face he has two scars one on his nose and  one on his cheek. The one on his nose is kinda small. The one on his cheek runs to the corner of his lips.

His blonde hair is pushed straight back a few pieces hang in front of his eyes.

He is tall. Maybe 6'7 and his muscles
Are bulking out of his shirt. His posture is perfect. And his eyes stare at me, an icy blue.

With an icy glare to match.

My eyes catch his and I quickly look down as sparks flow through my body.

Oh my god. King August is my mate.

Jaiden Grace is going to kill me.

"Leave!" He growls out. Grace doesn't hesitate as she rushes out of the room shutting the door behind her. He tears the door off the cage and drags me out. I hit a rock hard chest as arms wrap around me. I hear a purr sound as he sniffs my neck.

A smile graces my lips as I realize he accepts me.

He accepts me! I'm going to be okay. He is going to protect me from everything and love me unconditionally.

My thoughts are interrupted as I am thrown across the room.

"A runt! No my mate is not a runt!" He yells. He picks up a lamp and throws it across the room. I back myself up into the corner and curl up wrapping my hands around my head.

He throws his couch breaking it in half. He continues to throw things for a few more minutes.

When there is nothing left to break he looks at me and growls.

He throws his hand out at me as ice shoots out. My eyes widen as I dodge it. Pain erupts in my chest at my mates actions.

I'm about to die at the hands of my own mate...
