twenty three.

Waking up extra early that day to help everyone that needed help, Zela quickly fixed her makeup for the day and left her hair natural curly for the wedding, not wanting to straighten it.

As she made it down to the house, she noticed Hayley and Will were already here, and she smiled as she waved to Will while she assumed Hayley was somewhere with the girls getting ready.

"Good morning."

She greeted Isaac and Lee, and she groaned as she saw everything they had sprawled out in their room.

"Do you guys ever clean?"

She said and Isaac chuckled and pointed to Lee who scoffed and punched Isaac's arm.

"Okay, did Will not tell you guys what to wear?"

She questioned, and the two brothers looked at each other and Zela sighed as she shook her head, "You guys didn't listen, did you?"

As they both looked away from her, she smiled as she motioned for them to sit on the bed, and opened their closet, and saw the light blue button up that Will did infact give them the day prior.

Rolling her eyes as she grabbed them, she placed them on Isaac's bed, and looked through their closets to see what can go with it.

"Do you want to wear the vests?"

Isaac shook his head while Lee nodded his, and Zela grabbed one vest out as she looked around for ties.

"Do you guys not own ties?"

She asked, and the both of them quickly said, "No."

As Zela left the room to get ties out of Danny and Cole's room, as she knew Danny had a lot of them.

Walking inside, she looked over to see Cole putting on a light blue shirt, and Zela cleared her throat as she looked away and opened the drawer that had all of Danny's ties in it.

"Just getting Isaac and Lee ties."

She said to him, and grabbed ties before she turned around and gasped as Cole was right behind her, and she had nearly bumped into her.

"Cole."

She said, looking up at him and he smirked down at her, before he reached around her to grab something off the dresser, before he walked away.

Zela without realizing hadn't been breathing, so she let out the breath she was unintentionally holding in. Walking out of the room quickly, she found herself closing the door of Isaac and Lee's room and breathing heavily, as she closed her eyes.

"You good?"

Isaac asked, and Zela nodded her head, giving him a reassuring smile, "Ties."

Was all she said, as she placed them with their respectful shirts, and gave them a thumbs up before she walked out of the room.

Before she could make it downstairs, someone caught her wrist and pulled her back, and she slammed into the person's chest.

"You don't have to pretend that you're okay, just because Will and Hayley are getting married. It's okay to not be okay."

Isaac whispered to her, and Zela wrapped her arms around him, as she hugged him nodding her head, as Isaac held the back of her head.

"Just, uhm. Just get dressed soon, okay?"

She told him, and Isaac nodded as they separated and, Zela walked downstairs and into Katherine's room where Hayley was sitting and Tara was sipping on wine.

"Okay, are you ready?"

Zela asked, and Hayley nodded her head, as she smiled at her and Tara clapped her hands excitedly, as Zela motioned for her to sit down at Katherine's desk.

"Tara, will you be a helping hand?"

She asked, and Tara nodded excitedly, and pulled up a chair to sit beside Hayley, as Zela was sitting on Katherine's desk directly in front of Hayley.

"So, what kind of look are you going for?"

Zela asked, as she looked at all of Hayley's makeup pallets, and Hayley shrugged her shoulders looking to Tara for her opinion.

"I think natural colors would look extravagant with the dress."

She said, and Zela nodded in agreement, as she got everything ready, and quickly started doing her makeup.

"Tara, could you get Katherine and Hayley's mom?"

She asked, and Tara got up to go look for them, and Zela looked down at Hayley as she was doing her contour.

"Are you nervous?"

She asked her, and Hayley laughed slightly, "Is it obvious?"

Smiling, she shook her head and continued doing her makeup, "Not at all, in all honesty I think Will's more nervous than you."

She said, and Hayley laughed, and Tara quickly came back with the other two.

After what seemed like hours, which in truth, was only an hour and a half, Hayley was done with her makeup, and they had decided that they'd leave her hair down as it already looked good as is.

"All done."

She told her, and Zela got off the desk, as she excused herself to go get ready, and walked outside to see Cole getting on Custard.

Furrowing her eyebrows, she walked over to him and pet Custard, and looked up at him.

"Where are you headed off to? There's a wedding happening soon."

She said, and Cole pointed to Jackie who was speaking to Alex, Isaac, and Lee.

"Getting new flowers before your sister has a meltdown. You can join me if you'd like."

He offered, as he scooted back on the saddle, and reached his hand out. Zela looked at him, before she looked around noticing everyone was doing something.

Sighing to herself, she grabbed Cole's hand and he swiftly pulled her up and positioned her in front of him, wrapping his arms around her to hold the reigns.

"We'll make a quick trip, promise."

He told her, and the two soon rode off into the field, and quickly made it to the flowers in only a couple of minutes.

"Come on."

He said, as he got off and helped her get down, and Zela was mentally thanking herself for wearing black sweats, and started picking flowers out from the ground while Cole tied Custard to a tree.

"These are beautiful."

Zela said, as they were plucking them from the ground, "Such a shame they'll end up dying."

She muttered, and as she was going to grab another one Cole's hand and hers bumped into one another, and a firefly landed atop of it, and they looked down at it then up to one another.

"I didn't know they flew around during the day."

Zela said, as it flew away as quick as it landed, and Cole removed his hand to let her pluck the flowers.

"Consider it a falling star."

He told her, and Zela smiled softly, as she and Cole got up to head back.

Once everyone was dressed and ready to start the wedding, Zela was sitting on the outside beside Jackie, and stood up once Hayley started to walk down the aisle, and she found herself staring at her as she looked beautiful.

While everyone was looking at Hayley, Cole's eyes looked at the only beautiful woman he knew, with a smile on his face. Zela was smiling looking at Hayley, completely unaware of Cole staring at her.

As they were giving their vows, Zela looked around at everyone, and saw Cole was looking at her when Will had said he'd love Hayley till the end of time.

Hearing everyone clapping, Zela snapped out of her daze and clapped with everyone as Will and Hayley walked down the aisle as a married couple.

Following in behind everyone, Zela sat down beside Danny, and started eating as she was talking to Danny about the play.

"Hey, can we talk for a minute?"

Richard asked, and Zela nodded as she got up and walked with him, and Richard ran his fingers through his hair as the two were now in a much more secluded area.

"I took care of Jessup. He's not to contact you or the Walter's anymore, and if he tries you are to let me know and a restraining order will be set."

He told her, and Zela nodded her head, grateful that her uncle actually took care of it.

"Do you know if you are going back to New York with Danny and I?"

Richard asked, and Zela shook her head frowning, "No, I'm not going back. I truly feel happy here."

She told him, and Richard smiled down at her as he nodded his head and the two set off back to the tent where everyone was.

"Danny, I can't believe you are leaving me tomorrow."

Zela whined out, when she sat back down and Danny chuckled as he grabbed her hand kissing the back of it, "I'll be back soon, I promise."

He said, and Zela smiled, and soon found herself walking away to the shed to where Cole was, and by this time everyone had gone to bed or was about to.

"Cole?"

She yelled out, and walked into the shed, and saw Cole in a white undershirt, and she smiled at him as he was working on the truck.

"I just wanted to say something."

She said to him, and he nodded his head as he leaned against the truck, crossing his arms.

"I like you. I do. But I just need time, and from how many times you've hurt me, I just don't know when that time will be. It could be tomorrow or weeks, probably months, could be years. But I need you to know, that I am willing to wait for you. Are you willing to do the same?"

She asked him, and Cole stepped closer as she walked backwards her back hitting a beam, and Cole cupped her cheek as she looked up at him.

"I'll wait for you until the fireflies stop touching the ground."

He said to her, and Zela smiled up at him and she looked away from him as she pointed to the door and Cole brought his hand down and Zela slowly walked out waving to him.

Standing outside, she looked around, fireflies all around her and she watched as they'd fly to the ground and fly back into the air.

"Zela!"

Hearing her name being yelled, she looked over to where Jackie was running to her and she looked at her sister confused.

"I'm leaving to New York."

She said, and Zela's eyes widened as she looked at her sister who looked nervous.

"It's just, I really love being here, but Alex told me he loved me and I completely bugged out and I just, I just need to leave. I need to get away, and I've told nobody but you, uncle Richard, and Danny. So please, if anyone asks, you know nothing."

Jackie said, as she held out her pinky, and Zela nodded her head linking her pinky with hers.

"Please call me and text me, I'm going to miss you. I've already lost one sister, don't let me lose you next."

Zela whispered pulling Jackie into a hug, and Jackie held onto her, nodding her head.

"I promise."
