twenty five.

As Zela was dropped off by Darynn around three am that night, she was laughing as Darynn carried her inside the loft, and helped her climb the ladder, as she sat down on her bed and looked at him.

"I can't believe Bax actually jumped into the pond."

Zela said, before she laughed again as she remembered the face that Bax made once she had resurfaced, and Darynn chuckled at the memory and sat down beside of Zela.

"We really miss you up in New York, it's not the same without you."

He told her, and Zela frowned as she nodded her head as she took her Maryjane's off, and tossed them to the side, and laid back, looking up at the ceiling.

"I don't think it'll be the same if I went back there, after you know."

She mumbled out, as she rolled over onto her stomach, and sighed to herself as she looked over at Darynn who was looking at her with a grin.

"We could do what we used to do like the old days?"

He suggested, as he motioned his eyes to her Macbook, and Zela's face brightened and she hurriedly grabbed her Macbook as she plugged it in so it wouldn't die.

"Okay, we'll create new Sims and create a house, sound good?"

She asked him, and Darynn nodded his head as he started pointing at the attributes he wanted on his Sim.

As Zela was softly shaken awake, she wanted to do nothing but roll over, but she couldn't in the position she was in.

"What?"

She said groggily, and she felt herself being shook once more, and she finally opened her eyes to see Darynn waking her up, as he moved the Macbook off of her lap, and she looked around before she tried to grab her phone to look at the time, but she found that it was dead.

Looking to her Macbook that had been plugged in all night, she realized it was eight am, and she groaned at how early it was.

"Come on, today's the big day."

Darynn said, and Zela looked at him completely confused, and he pulled her to the end of the bed, as Baxis and Cher were holding a birthday cake.

"Don't think we'd forget your birthday."

Looking to them, she realized they had kept their promise and dressed up as the characters from their favorite movie, Jawbreaker, and she smiled brightly as she got up before she thought of a wish and blew her candles out.

"Now, get dressed, we've got a big day ahead of us!"

Cher said excitedly, as Darynn was dragged away by Baxis, while Cher stayed behind placing the cake down on her desk.

"Thank you for dressing up as Julie, it means a lot that you remembered the theme."

She said, and Cher waved her off as she helped her get dressed, and smiled at her as she pulled her closer by her pant loops, and kissed the tip of her nose, "I'd never forget."

Grinning at her, she shook her head and the two separated, and Zela walked out as she looked to Baxis who was dressed as Fern, and Darynn dressed as Zack Tartak.

"Happy birthday, Apple."

Looking to her left, she saw Cole and her jaw dropped as she realized he was dressed up as Dane Sanders.

"No way, you got him in on this too?"

She asked, and Darynn raised his hand, smirking.

"I did, Courtney Shayne's gotta have her love interest like Julie does."

He whispered to her, and Zela looked up at him and shoved his face away, rolling her eyes.

"Shut up."

She mumbled, and Cole walked up to Zela and picked her up, spinning her around, as he smiled up at her and Baxis smiled at them.

"They're cute."

She mouthed to her friends, and Cher rolled her eyes pretending to throw up, as Darynn looked at Cole and Zela.

"So, what do we have planned for the day?"

She asked them, once Cole placed her back down on the ground, and Cher grinned while looking at everyone.

"Well, we were hoping we could have a party here with everyone, so we can get to know them, then watch Jawbreaker in the loft? You know, get Cole cultured."

She said, and Zela nodded her head, liking the idea of staying home and being around the people she genuinely liked, plus she liked the idea of Cole watching one of her favorite films.

"Are you sure he's taken?"

She said pointing, and Zela looked to where she was pointing and she grinned as she shook her head at her best friend, "He's not for you to have, Bax."

She warned, and Bax frowned as she looked at Isaac, who was walking towards them, and stopped once he realized what Cole was wearing and tried his hardest not to laugh.

"No, no. You look great, dude."

Isaac said, once he cleared his throat at the look Cole gave him, and Baxis smiled real big as she stuck her hands in her hot pink back jean pockets.

"Do you want to watch a movie with us later?"

Baxis asked, and Isaac looked to her and grinned as he looked her up and down, before he nodded his head, "Sure."

As he turned around to walk away, he quickly announced that Katherine had made breakfast for Zela's birthday.

"When did anyone say he was taken?"

Zela questioned, and Baxis pointed to Cole, who sheepishly put his hands up, "The protective older cousin came out."

He shrugged, and Zela rolled her eyes as she started walking towards the house, and turned around to make sure everyone was following in behind.

"Okay, so wait, they murdered their best friend with a jawbreaker? That's sick."

Isaac said, and Zela nodded her head, as she was sitting on her bed with Cole beside of her, Cher and Darynn sat in front of the bed on the floor, while Isaac and Baxis sat on her loveseat.

"This is a fucked movie, how do you like this?"

Cole whispered, and she looked over to him with a grin and she shrugged her shoulders.

"Because I'm cultured."

She told him, and felt popcorn hit her face as Darynn turned around motioning for her to be quiet, and Zela simply flipped him off as she threw popcorn back at him.

"Hey, hey, don't waste the popcorn."

Cole said, snatching the bowl from her, and Zela rolled her eyes at him, and she heard something fall from where Baxis and Isaac were sitting and she looked over.

"I didn't do it."

Both Baxis and Isaac said simultaneously, and Zela rolled her eyes as she got up to look at what was wrapped, and she looked around confused as she had never seen this in her room before.

Taking the paper off of it, her eyes widened and she looked to where Cole was already looking at her, and she covered her mouth as she looked down at it in surprise.

In Zela's hand was a glass jar that had a fake firefly in it, that would occasionally light up, with her name engraved in the jar.

"I figured you could have a night light in here, happy birthday, Apple."

He quietly said, as he walked over to her, and Zela looked up at him in pure adoration, as she quietly thanked him as she placed it down on her desk, hugging him tightly.

"It's just a firefly, I don't get it. Why is it so special?"

Isaac said, and Baxis looked to him and she rolled her eyes, "We don't have those in New York."

She told him, and Isaac looked at her in shock as if he had heard the most devastating news ever.

"You don't?"
