ten.

Waking up with the sound of rustling, she looked up and groaned at the sight of Nathan's grinning face directly in her face, and she softly pushed his face away from hers.

"Good morning, I took the privilege of picking out yoir outfit."

Nathan said as he showed her the green outfit, and she looked at him in pure confusion, and stared at him blankly.

"Nathan, I love you, deeply. Truly I do. But you do realize, we do not go to Euphoria High. I can not wear that."

She said, as Nathan rolled his at her and pointed to the buttons on the shirt.

"You can easily just button them up, you've worn shirts the size to school before."

He said, and she got out of bed, quickly changing into the outfit he had picked out, as Nathan looked at the drawings.

"Will you stop looking at them?"

She said, and snatched the sketchbook out of his hands, and ripped the page out, placing it on her desk.

Quickly braiding her hair, the two walked downstairs as she wore her green velvet boots, deciding to just wear all green today.

"Well don't you just look ravishing."

Danny said teasingly, as she got into the car sitting in between Alex and Nathan.

"You do look great, green is one of my favorite colors."

Alex said, and she nodded her head smiling, and Nathan looked over at his brother and quietly scoffed.

"It's not your favorite color."

He whispered, to where only Zela could hear him, and she slapped his chest softly.

As Zela was standing about to go inside, she saw Erin running towards them, and Cole automatically opened his arms wide for her, but Erin ran right past him and hugged Zela, who smiled brightly at her.

"Come on, we have a school meeting today, so first period is being skipped. I want to talk to you about ideas of the outfit."

Erin said, as she hooped her arm around Zela's and the two walked together, smiling brightly.

"When the hell did those two get buddy buddy?"

Cole asked Nathan, who watched the brunette and blonde walk away.

"She's making it look really hard for her to not look like she belongs in Euphoria. They look like Cassie and Maddy from the back."

Nathan said, and Danny looked at him confused, as he had no idea what Euphoria was.

"Why are they getting along?"

Cole asked again, and Nathan shook his head patting his brother's shoulder.

"They got close because of you."

When school ended, Zela and Erin agreed to spend more time together, as they realized they actually got along really well.

So when she got in the car, and it was just Alex and Cole in there, she looked between the two and looked away, waiting for Danny or Nathan to come.

"Where is everyone else?"

She asked, and Cole looked at her through the mirror.

"They're coming."

Alex said, and soon, everyone piled in, Isaac and Lee arguing while Nathan and Danny tried to keep the two separated.

"This is going to be an eventful ride."

Alex muttered, and everyone silently agreed, and Zela found herself having to get in the front seat since Isaac had to sit in the middle with Nathan, and Danny sat in the very back with Lee.

"Green's my favorite color, you know."

Cole whispered to her, while he was driving, and something inside her clicked, she realized Nathan picked this outfit so she could play mind games with Cole.

"Congratulations?"

She said, sarcastically, and was about to get out of the car with everyone else but Cole's hand stopped her.

"What do you want, Cole?"

She asked, and Cole looked at her, before his eyes trailed up and down her body before they adverted to outside, noticing everyone had gone inside.

Realizing this, Cole pulled her closer by her neck, and kissed her lips roughly, as Zela instantly kissed back, before she pulled away and looked at him in shock.

"We can't be doing this."

She whispered, and Cole just pulled her forward again, and reattached their lips, and Zela kissed him back, deepening the kiss as he hands tangled in his hair.

Breaking away again, Zela shook her head and quickly got out of the car as she ran inside and ran straight into her room.

"Whoa, whoa. What's wrong?"

Alex said, and Zela shook her head and sat down on her bed, looking around in confusion.

"I don't know. I don't know what I want."

She muttered, and Alex slowly sat beside of her, and rubbed her back.

"No, no."

She said, pulling away from his touch, and she sighed as she looked over at him.

"I'm going for a run."

Sitting down in a random field that had a pond in it, with a little dock, she plucked the grass and rolled it around in her fingers as she kept thinking to herself.

She didn't know what she wanted, and she for sure as hell knew Cole didn't either. He was kissing her one minute, then would pretend like nothing happened, and going so far as to cover up his tracks. Then he's sleeping with other girls behind closed doors, and being publicly affectionate with Erin.

It was driving Zela crazy, she didn't want to be like those other girls. She wanted something that was real, and Cole isn't giving her that. He's giving her nothing but stress.

Looking around the empty field, not a house in sight, Zela got up and let out a blood curdling scream, before she looked around breathing heavily.

"Fuck you, Cole Walter."

Was all she said, before she walked to the dock and sat down, throwing random sticks and rocks into it.

"I came here to finish school. I came here to finish school. I came here to finish school."

She repeated to herself, as he throws kept getting harder.

"I'm going to focus on school work only."

She clarified, and when she got up to walk back to the house, she realized Alex was standing at the dock, with covers in hand and a small smile on his face.

"Hey."

He whispered, and Zela looked at him, and she fell down to her knees rubbing her temples.

"I rode my horse here, so..."

He said, as he helped her up, and helped her onto his horse, and wrapped the blanket around her shoulders as it was a bit cold out.

Riding together back to the house, Zela could only hold onto the blanket, and think about everything that's happened since she's gotten here.

"I think I may go back to New York."

She said out of nowhere, and Alex looked down at her in shock, as he stopped his horse.

"Why?"

He asked, and Zela shook her head, refusing to even tell him. Sighing, he continued on his way to the house, his grip around her waist slightly tightened as a way of silently telling her to stay.

"Home sweet home."

He said, and Zela looked at the house, and she barely nodded, as she got off the horse and walked inside, greeting George and Katherine who handed her a cup of warm tea.

"Alex had it made before he ventured off to find you."

Katherine said, and she turned around to see Alex still outside feeding his horse, and a small smile graced her lips.
