six.
Once Cole and Zela got back from their ride, Zela was worn out. They had ended up in a field of flowers, and Cole taught Zela how to tie horse reigns to a tree branch, without knotting it.
"Hey guys, have a nice ride?"
Nathan asked, and before Cole or Zela could even answer, she was whisked away and pulled inside rather quickly.
"Uhm, hello?"
Zela questioned, as she was pulled into Alex and Nathan's shared room, yet there was no sign of Alex, just Danny. Once the two were inside, Nathan shut the door and sat Zela down on his bed.
"What is this? Whatever happened, I swear it wasn't me."
Zela quickly said, and Danny rolled his eyes at her.
"What's going on between Cole and you?"
Nathan quickly asked, and Zela blinked up at him and laughed dryly, shaking her head.
"Nothing, he just took me out on a ride. He's with Erin, remember?"
Zela said, looking between Danny and Nathan. Danny nodded his head, as Nathan huffed shaking his head.
"Cole doesn't let anyone, I mean, anyone ride his horse."
Nathan said, and Zela crossed her arms rolling her eyes.
"I hate to burst whatever fantasy land you're in, but I'd rather pluck out the eyes of Cole than to even be with him."
Zela said, before she quickly got up walking outside, slamming the door behind her. Once she shut the door, she turned around bumping into a chest. Looking up, Cole looked down at her and Zela's heart dropped when she realized she had heard him.
"I was just returning this."
He said, shoving her skirt into her hands and walking away.
"Cole-"
"Don't bother, he'll let this haunt him till the ends of time."
Isaac said, and Zela groaned punching the wall in frustration.
"Chill, chill."
Lee spoke up, and Zela looked between the Garcia brothers and shook her head and walked into her room slamming the door.

Once she woke up the next morning, Zela couldn't help but feel awful about the day before. So when she got dressed, only thing on her mind was how Cole was going to treat her today.
"Hey, Grace invited me over for a sleepover and I think I may go, you're always welcome to come as well. Grace's words, not mine."
Jackie told her, as Zela put her hair up with a ribbon, and slipped on her platform Mary Janes, along with her Artistic corset top, and a pair of corduroy green pants.
"I'll think about it, so does that mean Grace is taking you after school?"
She questioned, and Jackie nodded her head, as she motioned to her bag that was packed with clothes.
"Alright, if plans change let me know."
As the two headed downstairs, Zela grabbed an orange to snack on during first period.
Once everyone was outside, Danny motioned for Zela to sit in the front while Cole drove.
When everyone settled in, Nathan sent Zela a quick message, asking how she was and she ignored it, a tad upset that she was even questioned in the first place.
It's not like Zela moved here just to fall in love with her mother's best friends son. She moved here to finish school and go to designer school.
"Alright, Jackie isn't riding home with us today, but that doesn't mean to invite any randoms."
Cole said, and Zela glanced over at him, as he drove, acting completely fine like last night didn't happen at all.
This, obviously confused Zela, as he seemed genuinely upset at her last night.
"Alright, everybody roll out!"
Lee yelled, as Cole parked, and Zela got out as fast as possible, and looked as Erin instantly came running into Cole's arms, and Olivia glanced over at Zela giving her a small smile.
It's not that Zela disliked Olivia, persay, but to do something behind your best friends back, let alone go after the person they're publicly into rubbed her the wrong way.
"Hey, Zela!"
Hearing her name, she looked over and realized Erin was talking to her.
"I read online somewhere that your mom was a fashion designer, and that you're following in her footsteps. I was wondering if you could make me an outfit?"
Erin asked, and it seemed she was being genuine, and Zela looked over towards Olivia, who was chewing on her lip nervously as she kept stealing glances at Cole.
"I'd love to."
Zela said, smiling at Erin, and Erin returned it, before Cole slightly pushed her forward to start walking.
"I'll text you the details!"
Erin yelled out, and Zela sighed, knowing she was pouring homework on herself, now she agreed to make an outfit for someone she didn't necessarily get along with.
"Gotta keep your friends close, and your enemies closer."
Nathan said, as he walked up to her and Zela scoffed as she started walking alongside Nathan.
"I'm still pissed at you for even interrogating me."
She told him, as they walked to her locker, that was not that far apart from Nathan's.
"I get that, and I'm sorry."
He said, heartily, and Zela smiled slightly nodding her head in acceptance to his apology.
"Just don't do it again. I didn't come here looking for love, I plan on moving back to New York after school for designer school."
She mumbled, as she grabbed her books for her first period. As the two were walking, she remembered that Cole was in her first period, and sat directly behind her.
As they entered, Cole was no where in sight, which was no shock to her, he ditched classes a lot as Nathan has said.
"Alright, settle down. Take your seats."
Sitting down, Zela felt someone tap her shoulder, and she turned to see a piece of paper in her face, and a hand extended out.
"Erin told me to give you her number."
He said, nonchalantly, and Zela grabbed the paper and sighed, slumping down in her seat. All these thoughts ran through her head, he seemed perfectly fine now, but last night was a different story.
Feeling her phone vibrate, she glanced down at it, seeing that she had received a message from Alex.
Smiling, she started texting him back, and before she could finish sending the message a hand engulfed her phone, and held it up.
"Texting during class, are we?"
Groaning, she looked to her side, now noticing Cole was sitting beside her.
"Why're you here?"
She whispered, and he smirked pointing towards their teacher that was writing down names of partners for a project on the board.
"We're partners, Apple."
Upon hearing this, she searched the board for Nathan's name and internally cursed once she saw he was one of the first listed.
"We're in the back, your best friend is way up there."
Cole continued, pointing towards Nathan, who had mouthed a quick, 'Sorry' before he turned around talking to his desk partner.
"Now, get comfortable with your partners, because this is who you will be sitting by for the rest of the semester."
"You have got to be shitting me."
Zela said slightly aloud, to where those around her could hear, and Cole chuckled.
"Something wrong, Apple?"
Glaring, she looked towards him, and their eyes met, and for a split second she swore she saw hurt inside them, but it vanished when he looked away towards the front of the classroom.
"Peachy."
She mumbled out through gritted teeth, causing Cole to look at her again. When he turned to start annoying her, the light reflected into her pupils, reminding him of when the moon once settled itself there.
"Cole? Cole Walter."
Blinking out of whatever trance he was in, he cleared his throat and looked at the teacher who had been calling his name to answer a question.
Looking in Nathan's direction, he could only smirk slyly, and Zela quickly flipped him off as the teacher turned around to write the answer Cole had given on the board.
"Are you sure you're going to be able to focus sitting next to me? It seems you're going to be distracted quite easily."
Zela teased, and Cole strained his jaw, chuckling dryly as he kept his eyes forward, but Zela could easily tell that her words has sunk into his skin like tiny little needles.
"You just know exactly how to get under my skin, don't ya', Apple?"
He whispered, as he placed his hand on her thigh, giving it a slight squeeze causing her knee to jump and hit the bottom of her desk.
"Cole."
Zela warned, and shoved his hand off, causing Cole to feign innocence, as he raised the same hand he had on her thigh seconds prior, to answer the teacher's question.
"Well, you're very interactive today, Cole."
The teacher said, and Zela rolled her eyes, placing her chin in the palm of her hand.
"Oh. You have no idea, Sir."
Cole replied back, glancing over at Zela from the corner of his eye.
