***Hey guys! Hope y'all enjoy this oneshot I have. I will have more to come!***

I turned around in one swift move while grabbing my sword when I felt a tap on my shoulder. I looked towards the ground and saw a small child. Just barely enough to talk. I turned back around and saw the sorceress was gone. What does she mean that I have one more test until I could become the one true king of Camelot? I looked at the boy.

"Hewo. I Merwin," the boy introduced. He had Merlin's shirt wrapped around himself. I laughed. Merlin was a child. "Where Mama?"

"Hello, Merlin. I'm Arthur," I smiled and introduced myself slowly. I picked him up and put him in the infant clothes that were given to me. "Merlin, do you want to go to Camelot?" The boy smiled and nodded. He giggled on the horse ride over.

I immediately to Merlin to Gaius.

"What is that?" he asked pointing to Merlin.

"This is Merlin. We ran into a sorceress on our hunt and turning him into an infant," I explained. "Could you turn him back?"

"Maybe. Whoever did this must've had some strong magic. But I can't take care of him at my age," Gaius explained.

"Maybe I could watch him," I offered. "But first I have to check in with my father first."

"Good, I will start working on the potion," Gaius went to work and I went to meet my father in the throne room.

"Father," I walked up to him. Merlin clawing behind me.

"Arthur, how was the hunt?" he asked as he looked up at me. I picked up Merlin and he started to giggle and chew on his hand.

"Father, we ran into a sorceress and turned my manservant, Merlin, into an infant," I explained showing Merlin to my father. "I was wondering if I could watch over him since Gaius can't at his age."

"Hewo," Merlin said with a laugh. My father broke into a small smile when he saw the baby.

"Of course," he said after a moment. "Would you like me to appoint you a new manservant for the time being?" I nodded and excused us. I went to my room and put Merlin on the floor.

He laughed. I sat on the floor with him and played with him, forgetting about my duties. My father came into my room with a trunk.

"I found some of the toys that were yours and Morgana's. I thought it would keep him occupied for a little bit," his father explained. 

"Thank you, father," I said and his father left back to his duties. Morgana came in not long after. I was at my desk trying to do work but kept on watching the baby.

"Who is this?" Morgana asked in a baby voice. She picked up Merlin.

"Hewo. I Merwin," he said with a cute laugh. I explained the situation to her and she smiled.

"Well, isn't he just a bundle of joy," she tickled him and laughed. Merlin's eyes flashed gold and a teddy bear went to him. The two siblings stared at each other in shock and went to Gaius.

"He was born with it, sire. He had no choice over the matter," Gaius explain to the both. "He was going to tell you. But he didn't want to put either of you in that position of choosing him or your father."

"I see," was all I could say. I was holding Merlin and he fell asleep, drool coming out of his mouth.

"That must be what to sorceress wanted to know, whether you were to except him or you would kil- you know what," Gaius told him.

"No. He is still my friend. I will not kill him, and I will not tell my father about this either. Morgana?" Arthur turned to his sister.

"I won't tell a soul," she promised.

"Sire, have you seen Merl-" Lancelot and Gwaine came into his room, only to see Arthur playing with Merlin.

"Child," Gwaine stated. "Why does princess have a child?"

"This is Merlin," I explained what happened again. Merlin was on my bed playing with the stuffed animals.

After a little bit of the knights and Arthur playing with Merlin, the knights had to go.

Merlin started to cry. I picked him up and started to rock him. I started to walk around the castle to try to have him go to sleep. I went into town and got some food for him to eat. I ran into Gwen. She tickled him on the stomach and he smiled and rubbed his eyes.

"Arthur," her face lit up. "Who is this little cutie?"

"Merlin," she froze. And looked at me. "Long story. I'll explain later," I told her. She nodded and went along with it. He started to cry again.

"Aww, is wittle Merwin tired?" Gwen cooed with a little smile. I handed her Merlin and he fell right to sleep.

"How did you do that?" I asked, surprised.

"I don't know," she handed him back over and to me and left to tend to Morgana.

Gaius couldn't create a potion to turn Merlin back to his normal self. The magic the sorceress used was far too powerful.

"Arthur, I don't know what to do with him. His mother, Hunith died a couple of weeks ago from a mysterious illness," Gaius told me. I looked at the sleeping infant on the cot while sucking his thumb. I was shocked at the fact that he now had no mother and no father at all. So I did what any other logical person would do.

"I will adopt him," I proclaimed. 

"Are you sure, sire?" Gaius was surprised.

"Yes. He will be my son," I said a little wearily. But I was confident. Gaius nodded.

"But I will need a new apprentice," Gaius stated.

"I will find someone to help you," I said as I went and picked up baby Merlin. I left and went back to my chambers. I asked my new manservant, George, to go with some help to get a crib and place it by my bed.

"Father, Gaius could not create a potion to turn Merlin back to himself. So I would like to ask if I could adopt him," I told my father as confidently as I could. He turned and looked at me.

"Why would you do that? Doesn't he have any parents?" he asked, never actually saying no.

"No, father. His mother died a few weeks ago and his father is out of the picture," I told him. He stared at Merlin playing with one of the guards on the floor. A little smile spread on his face.

"Very well then. But just to let you know, having a child is a lot of work," he told me. "I will help along the way as you need."

"Thank you, father," I told him. A smile grew on my face.
