I was so drained from the activities that I have been doing with Shang for the past week that I forgot all about taking on a first shift at my job.

I, along with my friend autumn works in a hospital but in the maternity ward.

It was something that I loved and enjoy as music was more like a second hustle for me.

You know that " someday" type of dream.

I knew deep down that music was my heart and passion, but providing warm love, and taking care of infants was also my specialty.

Their mothers was never ever to far from their bundles of joy, so whenever we finish our check ups with them, and get them all clean up and ready that's when the two get reunited.

" so how has the partnership with Shang been going like so far?" Asked autumn as we change the bags that was inside the rooms.

" if you mean how exhausted it is then it very much that. Shang is a good and amazing artist I cant take that away from him, but sometimes I feel as if I just be living in the background"

" of course you don't" added autumn " you just a women who love seeing the success goes to others that you help get to that point. So yes your going to feel exhausted but look on the bright side of things you will make your breakthrough"

I sigh while walking over to change one of the baby diapers as autumn ran a sink bath for another baby.

" I know. It's just that I'm ready for it now it's like I been waiting my whole life."

" speaking of Shang have you told your brother about everything that's been going on?"

I gave her the side eye before she tried to hold her laugh in.

Some of them was fast asleep.

We then walk over to the break room that was made for us to use, that way we was able to keep our eyes on the infants 247 without leaving them unattended for.

" it was like talking to a brick wall he wasn't up for anything that I had to say, so telling him more was going to get even worse so I left it alone"

" oh come on he wasn't that too selfish to not allow you to take that opportunity of a lifetime" she frown.

" well he was, so now we're not on speaking terms but I feel like he'll eventually get over it"

We continue to talk until a buzz from my phone broke our conversation.

" let me guess it's cooper ready to apologize for being an asshole the other day" autumn tease

Nudging her in the arm I picked up my phone and to my surprise it wasn't my brother.

" so who is it?"

My face beam with joy as i read the text from Shang.

Shang~ wassup beautiful I know you said for me to be thinking of more hits to make and I did. But it requires a partner. Meet me at the dancehall downtown. Only if you want too

Then another message ding in.

Shang~ plus I'll really like to see you ☺️

" it's from Shang he wants to meet at a dancehall for another one of his songs that he believe could be another possible hit." I said with so much enthusiasm in my voice.

I then replied back.

Me~ sure just send me the address and I'll be there just as soon as my shift is over.

Me~ I'll really like to see you too

Placing my phone back down I couldn't stop smiling to myself once again I was feeling those butterflies fluttering throughout my stomach.

It's so crazy but that's what he do to me.

" so you want to grab a bite to eat after work and go home to record? We haven't done a duet in a long time" autumn offered while taking a bite out of her lunch.

With plans already in the making on my end, i was nervous to decline her request.

She knew that, but autumn was the type who always loved it when it was just us two and no one else.

At times I was always the third wheel whenever we all went out and my brother was involved.

She would just have to understand this go around .

" ugh I'm so sorry Autumn, but I have plans to meet with Shang later on in the day for some business related activities remember?" I reminded her.

" right, silly me I'm so forgetful at times. Well I'm sure one day this week will have a day to ourselves to record."

" of course"

Looking at the time I only had twenty minutes left on my shift so I couldn't be more excited to get off now.

I began counting down the minutes.

I walked inside the empty and cold studio to find no one else in here but me.

It was bigger than it appeared on the outside and well put together.

Not really having the time to run back home to change I was still dress down in my scrubs.

" wow you made it. I'm glad"

I looked behind me to be stunned at how he looked without a shirt.

Only shorts was what he showed up to me in, and I tried my best to stay and act professional.

Clearing my throat, I scratch the back of my head before my bun accidentally poured over my face.

" what's going on over there" he laugh before walking over to my aid.

I fingers entwined with one another as he eventually escape.

" I'm so sorry I wasn't expecting for my hair to get in a mess"

" stop there's no need to apologize. It's cool your hair was soft anyway."

We locked eyes for a moment before he slap his hands together and turned on his heels.

" Alright so I have this song that I was working on, and I thought that maybe we could dance to it then upload it to my instagram both accounts and to YouTube" he suggested.

" that sounds prefect but I can't" I declined his offer

" is there a reason why?"

I looked down at my attire before looking back up to see him analyzing me.

He chucked before walking over to his bag.

" wait what are you doing?" I asked while keeping my eyes on him

" trust me you'll thank me later" he said muffled as his body was lean over scuffling through his belongings.

I waited a couple of minutes before he threw me an outfit.

Before I could say anything he spoke.

" I knew you wasn't going to be able to bring extra clothes to dance in, so I took it upon myself to go out before I headed here and buy you something"

" but...."

" no buts. Just go get change because we are about to make history"

" what the hell" I said with laughs

Thats all I could do was smile and laugh before jogging towards the bathroom to change out my work clothes.

Coming back he began to set everything up and I propped myself up against the wall and just watched.

I watched as a superstar was coming from out of his shell.
