I waited patiently for the music to roll in before I started to pour my heart out into a new song I wrote over night.

After talking with melody on a much deeper level last night, this morning for me felt a little different.

A good different this time.

I had a small cup of alcohol that sat inside my hand, and rested on my lap as i twirl a little to give myself some sort of movement on the stool.

" we all clear are you ready to record?" Asked Steven from the other side of the booth glass.

Giving him a thumbs up I closed my eyes as the bass began then once it drop I parted my lips to sang my lyrics into the mic.

Everything that i adventure so far with melody all the feelings that was built up that I had was starting to pour out.

How could someone that wasn't up for any kind of relationship wants everything now.

She wants it all.

It's been a while since I ever touched or embraced upon a real women like Mel and I wasn't about to let her slip away.

The more I sing the more I couldn't stop thinking about her.

The way her voice with that accent press against my ear talking softly as I kissed her.

It was the way she had me wrap around her finger since the first time I answer that phone call.

Damn.

Placing the cup down on the stool next beside of me I grip my hand on the mic as my aggression and feelings started to pour out more and more.

My body was getting heavy from how much she was making me feel.

As the session was coming to an end, all I heard was cheering and roaring as I open my eyes to see my guys showing out.

" aye Shang..... i think we have another hit for the grown and sexy!!!" They scream into the mic.

I laughed as my dimples peak out as I bit my lip.

I already knew this song was going to the top every since I was up late at night working on it.

" it's only up from here" i said before looking at my watch.

I told melody that I'll meet her up on the hills around 3 and the time was already reading 2:30.

Knowing that I want to wash this studio off me, I grab my things and headed out the door.

" damn hold up Shang we just finished making history, and you already dipping out on us what's going on?" Dre asked me.

I looked over at the rest of the team who was also waiting on an explanation.

I then shrugged my shoulders " duty calls I'll catch up with you all after I'm done handling something"

Just like that with no other words I left the studio and headed home to get clean up.

I waited around for melody to show up and it was already pass three.

She haven't text nor call to let me know that she was arriving later than our scheduled time.

Picking up some rocks, I started to throw each of them one by one seeing if they would bounce off the water.

Some did.

Thirty minutes turn into an hour and just when I turn on my heels to head back to my car another vehicle pulled up beside mines.

Sighing out loud, I watch as she sat for a moment as if she had the time before I shoved my hands inside my pockets.

Then her door opened up, and out she walked with two burritos wrap in aluminum foil and some chips.

As she made her way to me I walked back over towards the bench, but decided to just sit on the table part itself.

Looking off at the water and boats that may pass by time to time she finally made her way to me.

The smell of her sweet perfume surpassed my nose and I still just looked away.

" I can understand if you are upset right now because of me being late...." She started off the conversation.

" yeah, I am, but I'm also piss because here I am thinking that you really give a care about me from the way you was talking last night and what I get? Stood up for an hour and some Change"

She frown before swiping some of her hair strands that got in the way of her face.

" I'm sorry okay it's hard for me to just open up to anyone"

" but I'm not just anyone melody damn. Can't you see that?. We been around each other for a month now and I've grown to only want you and for what reason I can't explain it, you shown me a lot within that month that made me want to change who I was before and settle with just one person and that's you"

I finally looked her In her eyes that was now watery and this time I had no emotion for her right now.

She place the food down before crawling up to seat beside me.

Making some adjustments I still wanted to remain without any eye contact.

Her soft hands slip into mines but I didn't bother to grip her hand back.

" can you just touch me, just hold my hand please" she whimper out.

Rejecting her request she still kept her hand inside mines.

" Shang I haven't been In a relationship before. So forgive me for not coming off in a way that your use too. Honestly you were the first guy that I ever allowed to get close to me for a long time. Hell you was my first kiss I might've seem as if I knew what I was doing, but in reality I watch so many romance movies about how to love that it taught me a few things" she chucked softly.

I drop my head before lifting it back up but still not ready to face her.

She squeezed onto my hand hoping that I'll latch onto her but she haven't proven anything to me yet.

" why want you Look at me?.... I need to just feel you grab onto my hand it would make me feel like you care about me."

Tighten up my jaws I gave in by gripping her hand back.

" I'm not doing it because you want to feel my touch, I'm doing it because I really do care for you. Continue telling me why you can't be with me" i said straight forward.

I closed my eyes as her other hand caress the side of my cheek.

" fine I'll continue. You don't have to say anything else just listen"

I nodded.

" growing up I had a crazy kind of family. My mom did her thing, and when I say that I mean like have sex with random man for money, my brother was never really home so he barely cared about what went on around the house, and my older sister she was just there. She never really spoke to anyone other than me about running away and getting far away from the family. I never really understood what she meant at the time but when I got to see my thirteenth birthday that's when I knew what Ashanti meant."

Her voice began to crack with some words she said and I felt myself glancing over.

Her tears trickled quickly down her red cheeks but I didn't want to make any sudden decisions.

So I let her continue.

" our father Melvin. He wasn't the kind of dad that many girls dream of having, he saw me as his little princess, but my story never had to much of a happy ending. One night I was listening to a women singing this most beautiful song. The way her vocals was like heaven to my ears. I was preparing for bed, and I had on my little white gown and as I comb my hair the door open. Standing there was my father. He smelled like pure alcohol, but I thought nothing of it because he always smell like alcohol everyday... and every night"

She paused while slipping her hand From out mines to wipe her face then she placed it back.

" but this night was different. Me just being the teenage that I was I kept that song that I loved on repeat. Then he came in a little further, and he place his hand on my shoulder, after that he told me how beautiful I was, and how I was blooming into a beautiful women while his hands trialed down my body. Standing to my feet, because I knew he was wrong for what he was doing I tried to stop him you know just try to get him from out my room, but the more I fought him off the harder and anger he became until he slapped me so hard that I flew onto the bed. He came over top of me and..... he sexually abused me. Over, and over, and over again. I bleed for weeks not evening knowing just yet what the women body was supposed to do. Every day for three years he came into my room so much that at times I just stop fighting him off and just let it happen."

I couldn't say anything but just watch the pain in her eyes as she told me her story.

I felt so bad and angry at the same time that I didn't want to hear any of this anymore.

" their was times when I saw a glimpse of my sister just standing there not even willing to help me. Not even trying to fight him off of me she just watch. How could someone that you loved that you call your sister betrayed you like that?. My mother could careless, and then finally when I turn eighteen and he tried to hurt me again my brother walked in. He did what no one could. He protected me, he fought for me. He end up fighting my dad off and during their encounter my father slip on one of his beer bottles and fell. On his way down he broke his neck on the dresser and cracked his skull. Ever since then me and my brother cooper left the United Kingdom and never looked back. I left my mother, I left my sister and all I had who was family was my brother."

" so yes, it's hard to open up to people so I focus on singing, I focused on writing because that was the only thing That got me through what I had to experience, and go through as a young girl trying to figure out life. Music was all I ever loved and I made a promise to myself that I wouldn't have talked to any man other than my brother, but then you came along. Every since we linked i felt different around you, like you wouldn't hurt me the way that I've been hurting in my past. You see me for just what I want to be seen as and hopefully you don't see me as a victim because I'm not I'm a survivor and I'm standing on what I want"

She then stood up before parting my legs and walking in between them.

She lifted my chin as I tried my best to fight my tears.

My legs started shaking uncontrollably after hearing all that she been through.

" look at me" she whispered.

I didn't want to but she gently wipe my eyes causing me to glare into hers.

She grew a smile on her face before kissing my lips.

" I'm okay. I will be okay as long as I have you, copper and my best friend I will always be okay"

I cuffed her chin before we crashed our lips into each others once again.

" for as long as I'm living I will always protect you, be there for you, love you, caress you, provide for you, you will forever be mines and won't ever have to worry about a damn thing do you hear me" I said though my teeth before pulling her back.

Her eyes locked into mines as she nodded.

The sky's was shifted into a grayish color and the winds was starting to pick up.

Not sure what type of weather we was about to get I gather our things.

" come on it's about to rain we should get out of here"

" okay where to?" She question

" my place. Just follow me"

" okay"

Grabbing her hand we quickly jog back to our vehicles before pulling out the park and heading to my home.

Tonight I wasn't feeling like being alone, and from what melody told me I wanted her to know that I want to be there for her.

She's been through to much, and she won't never have to worry about that happening to her again
