"Where are we going?" Melody asks. 

"I told you, you are going to forget about them, and what is a late night adventure, without snacks?" I grin, pulling into the 7/11.

"Oh you brought the wrong girl here" Melody giggles.

"You can get what you want, just know we have a long car ride ahead of us" I state. 

We get out of the car and walk into the building. 

I laugh as she goes straight to the Slurpees. 

"You look like a kid in a candy store" I smile.. 

 She rolls her eyes and grabs a cup, mixing blue raspberry and cherry. 

"Oh no, we have a mixer" I shake my head "That's not right" 

"And it's right to only get one flavor? Are you insane?" She asks. 

I grab a cup and fill mine with Coca-Cola flavored Slurpee. 

"I disapprove" Melody laughs, taking a sip from her Slurpee. 

I pull out my phone and take a photo of her "Cute!" I smile.

"Ew, I probably look horrible" She whines. 

I add the caption "Late nights with this goof" and post it on my snapchat. 

"Don't worry, your eyes are just a little puffy, but it's fine" I chuckle. 

"You suck" Melody frowns. 

"You love me" I smile. 

"Sadly" She mumbles, walking away. 

I smirk "I heard that!" 

"No you didn't!"

When we checked out i handed the cashier money and we walked outside to my car. 

I looked down at my phone to see a message from Cassidy. 

I ignore it and stuff my phone into my pocket. 

We get back into my car and Melody plugs her phone into the aux. 

As we get onto the road "On my mind" By public comes on. 

"I love this song!" I smile. 

"Really? I thought i was the only one who knew about them!" Melody smiles. 

I laugh and start singing along. 

Melody turns it up more and smiles. 

I could see all her worries washing away.

About 30 minutes later we are close to the spot. 

"Where are we?" Melody asks. 

"A little out of golden bridge" I shrug. 

"Are you going to kill me?" Melody asks. 

"No" 

"Good enough for me" 

I chuckle "Now where have i heard that before" 

"The first time we talked" Melody smiles. 

I shake my head "that was a great day" 

I pull onto a dirt road and when it ends we are on a cliff that overlooks golden bridge. 

"See, only a little ways out of town" I smile. 

Melody gets out of the car and looks out in amazment. 

"Woah..." She smiles. 

"Right? Not many people know about this place" I say, sitting on the front of my car. 

I look at the time. 

5:30. 

I smile, and get out my phone.

I watch as the sun starts to rise, snapping a few pictures of it on my phone. 

"Oh my gosh" Melody smiles "This is awesome!" 

"I know!" I smile. 

She turns around and walks over to me, sitting next to me. 

"Thank you" She yawns. 

"For what?"

"For being the best friend ever" 

I smile as she leans her head on my shoulder.

I lean my head ontop of her's and we watch as the sun rises more.

Even the darkest nights end...and the sun will rise.
