"chapter 3- who you are"
summer heard a knock on the cabin door & jumped up. she was greeted by nate holding a flashlight and a blanket.
"ready to go?" he questioned.
"yeah." summer said putting on her jacket & walking out the door behind him.
they walked for a bit before they stopped on the dock. nate spread out the blanket and they sat on top.
summer gazed out at the lake, watching the light from the stars reflect down onto the calm blue water.
"so summer can i ask you something." nate said, breaking the silence.
"shoot." summer replied.
"why did you end up coming back to camp rock, i mean it's been years?" nate asked.
"i got into a lot of trouble back home & i guess my mom thought if i went back to where it all started i'd find a way to figure my shit out. " she said gazing at the lake.
"what trouble did you get into?" nate asked.
"i know you've seen the articles, there all over social media." summer sighed.
"so all the things they said about the drinking and the drugs is true." nate said, shocked looking at her.
"yeah it's all true but i'm fine. i promise, my parents and my management are just overfucking reacting like usual." summer groaned.
"maybe they're right. maybe you just needed to come back here, to figure out what you're going through." nate stated.
"im fine." summer hissed.
"clearly you're not." nate said softly.
"who the fuck are you to tell me about my life, when you havent lived it nate gray?" summer snapped standing up.
"maybe you're right, i havent lived your life, but i do know you can't drink, snort, smoke, & fuck pain away summer hill." nate hissed back.
"fuck you." summer huffed walking back to her cabin.
summer slammed the cabin slamming the door shut, and laid on her bed.
"hey summer, are you okay." mitchie asked.
"i'm just not good enough for anyone, no matter what i do." summer cried into mitchies arms.
"it's okay." mitchie said consoling her upset friend.
"it's just so much pressure having everyone watching you all the time, i mean you get it. with your mom working at hot tunes people probably judge you guys all the time." summer said sniffling.
"yeah, it sucks, but you just have to remember that you know who you really are." mitchie said even though she was lying about who she really was, just because she wanted to be good enough.
