All of Me by The Score - Shintaro
Just to warn you guys, there's going to be a lot of The Score and a LOT of Shintaro. A vast majority of The Score's songs fit Shintaro's character... XD
~
I've been running through this city with my hopes held high: I imagine that this line is talking about two different time periods in Shintaro's life: His years with his wife, Chase, and Abby; and the five years with Falte and the rest of his friends. He had tried to live a carefree life, cowering away from his duties as a Light. He'd wanted to live normally, without having to worry about the Darks or anything related to them. He'd tried to do that twice, and for years it had worked.
In between my footsteps, that's where fear resides: Deep down, Shintaro knew that he was shirking his duties, putting lives of innocent people in danger as he settled down - when he knew he wasn't supposed to. He was also fearful that because he'd let the Darks go unchecked, they would get to his family and hurt them, or take them away from him.
It's tearing me apart, I swear I'll divide: Again, Shintaro knew that he wasn't doing what he was supposed to. He knew that he was letting Darks run rampant, and he knew that lots of people's lives were being effected because he was doing what he wanted. But he didn't want to leave his family. He wanted to stay with them, to be their father, her husband. It was tearing him apart on the inside, though he knew he was supposed to be taking on his responsibility.
Me up against the wall, but I keep standing tall: Eventually, when Shintaro accepts his role (which is mainly in Found), he's determined to not back down, to stand tall and to defeat his father once and for all. He isn't going to back down again. He's done trying to live for the luxuries of his wishes.
The winner takes it all: If Brethren wins, he has the whole world in his hands to toy with it as he wishes. If Shintaro wins, he has the respect of the saved lives, and probably the Darks under his control (because if he defeats Brethren, he will either: Send the Darks into the Abyss with him, or they will have no leader on earth to follow.).
Me up against the mirror, reflecting all my fears: Shintaro is facing his father, his blood relative. He's facing his main fear, the man who abused Shintaro his whole childhood. The man who drove fear into the hearts of anyone who dared even talk to him. Shintaro's biggest fear is Brethren, but next in line to that is failing the lives of those he loves. If he loses, Brethren will have them to toy with. Shintaro cannot accept that.
It's taking all of me: Shintaro has to use up pretty much every ounce of his strength - mentally, physically, magically, emotionally - to face his father when he's mortified of Brethren. It's a struggle against magic, against Darkness, against Shintaro's fears. Shintaro has to use all of his strength to even stand against his father, let alone fight him.
Just keep on pushing my limits, its only physical: In case my readers haven't noticed, Shintaro tends to push himself to his limit a lot. He knows his limits, but he pushes himself to the brink to protect what he loves. He's determined to defeat Brethren, even if it takes all of him.
My doubts are overhead like vultures trying to feed but they won't succeed: Shintaro has many doubts. He doubts that he be able to defeat his father, he doubts that he'll be able to protect his family. He's doubted a majority of his life, especially when he had a family to raise. But he's determined now - he will win.

This one was much longer than the last one, and it was Shintaro again...
But that's going to happen a lot. Seriously, a good lot of The Score songs really fit Shintaro and/or Kai. It's freaking amazing.
