A flash back to a family at play....

An old Victorian mansion built somewhere between 1850 & 1900 sits prominent in the Savage Garden Keys. Made of brick and wood throughout it consists of five levels which includes the cellar. High peaks overlook the entire town, each accommodating its own suite. There is an upper balcony area where the family matriarchs are served brunch multiple times during the week. The servants live in a guest house out back, like something from the days of slavery. Unfortunately, yes these servants were also of color. Renan a respectable Italian Politician raised his family here and had the liking of the community. His wife was devoted to her job but managed to raise two children along the way.

Renan often assumed his wife was cheating on him, as she would often have mysterious trips that were never accounted for. His eldest son was a bit of a trust fund baby and was treated as such his whole up-bringing. Working wasn't really his thing, yet he had a heart of gold. Renan's second son was more of mama's boy and did exactly as she would ask. Renan secretly despised that in his son. The loyalty to his mother, the potential cheater.

His eldest came home one day explaining how he got a girl pregnant and that this could be something of the tabloids. Renan quickly moved the girl in and soon they would welcome another child. Later that year the son got married and the family stayed in the family home for years to come. Mother hired a gardener who came by daily and handled the esthetics of the land. She began staying home more, once she realized her husband had been looking into her private life. So she quit her job and stayed home. She watched the gardener like a hawk, as though he was a potential threat.

The man had a slouch, and often played with the children as they grew. Mothers eldest wasn't too keen on this, and either was his wife. The couple along with Renan found the gardener strange. Mama's boy would report to Mother, any time anyone had something negative to say about the gardener.

A flash back to a family at play....

Virginia was the picture-perfect child of the Wainwrights. An absolute opposite of her twin Amada. She excelled in sports and loved riding horses when she could get the chance. Virginia had very little options as her family was quite poor. Papa Wainwright was a tough man, an alcoholic who praised his little girl anytime he could. Virginia was in small town talent shows while her brother stayed at home and played with sticks. Locked in his bedroom, Amada would play alone. His mother would come sit and read to him when she could. When she could not be caught by Papa!

One evening Virginia spotted Amada through the crack in the door, and she mocked him for being retarded. Unfortunately, this is how the boy was treated. Mother didn't have a say, and if she did she would be beaten. Mother was a shy brittle woman with dirty hair, never clean never bright. This is how Amada was presented as well. The public eye did not see the shine in these humans. They only seen the princess which was Virginia. Twin flames to be destroyed according to Papa.

On this night the town predicted a storm like no other. Amada hated the rain, as it would seep into his room from the ceiling, and he would shiver himself to sleep. Virginia felt something strange come over her as she finished mocking her brother. As though a gentle breeze of the ever-looming weather crept into her body. Rumblings in the room where her brother kept some how scared her. She ran to Papa, but he was too drunk to move. Virginia stayed with Papa as the trailer burnt down, princess died in her fathers' arms next to his bottle.

The trailer exploded into a fire ball extinguishing the twin flame forever!

The Victorian......... Halloween 1998

Gather round children let grandma tell you a scary story. I love scary stories Grandma!! I know you do my child; you've got your Grandma's blood running through your veins my child! (She kisses his little forehead) Not so long ago a boy was found wandering the roads that caught a blaze by a freak meteor storm. Crashes of lightening all around and thunder screaming from the skies; the night was full of fowl. A melee of people scattered from a town that collapsed and continues to burn until this day. Broken the boy was, a cripple all alone on the street!

Like the gardener right grandma?

Yes my child like the gardener.

The boy eventually found shelter in an abandoned shack in a near by Key. The shack was left to rot and so no one ever went there. The boy called it his home. One day not long after clothing began to appear on his step, food and house hold items. The boy at first didn't know who was leaving these items.

Does the boy have a fairy god mother Grandma?

Yes my dear he does, just like princesses do!

A year or so later when the boy turned eleven, almost your age my dear; a wicked storm began to brew along the Keys. Waters began bursting up from the rocky shores and towns much like this one had to prepare for the worst. The boy was terribly afraid of storms, and with no where to hide he scampered into a corner and cried out for the ghost that brings him things. Then out of the shadows a fire red haired angel appeared, as though to signify his safety. The boy knew who it was as he crawled along the broken floorboards to her. That night he slept the best he'd slept in years, in his mother's arms!

The ghost was his mommy Grandma?

It sure was my child.

You have fire red hair, just like the angel did Grandma!

I do, yes my child!

What happened to the boy after that night? (Says Dean, her youngest son who appeared behind her as she spoke) Well my son, the boy became split and one part of him was nurtured by his mother and the other nurtured by the silence only someone tortured can hear. He wanders the brush often, though never identified. His mother still keeps an eye out for him."

Dean takes the children into bed as his mother sits there staring out onto the land. The gardener didn't appear to show up at work the next day or the day after that. Grandma appeared sad. The children became saddened by his departure. Her eldest didn't even seem to care, while her son Dean kept an eye on him in the city. Renan found another suitable job for the handicapped fellow and sent him away! His wife started a checklist of things her husband loved and began destroying them one by one!

That year her grandson became isolated in thought.

Her granddaughter continued to excel as she became extremely talented in all things.

Renan disappeared one day while out riding the horses. His body was found washed ashore by an old, abandoned shack!

In Present time at the 4C.....

Megan goes towards the elevator, and she notices the King and Queen of the Ball contest. She smirks and looks over at Daniel who is just heading up to the winery event. She decides to check her phone to see where her friend Seema is. She notices it getting later and she hasn't appeared yet. Megan notices David walking down the corridor heading to the patio bar. She calls out to him, but he continues walking without turning back.

Parmar gets off the elevator and comments on how nice it is that David decided to put on the wig this weekend. Megan agrees but finds it odd he didn't respond to her. She asks Parmar if he has seen Seema, and he replies he hadn't. They both comment on the trio of bloody prop handprints on the contest board. Megan says maybe there will be three winners. After all, Thrupples are in! Parmar swears he only remembers one handprint on the board earlier, but shrugs it off.

Parmar heads into the kitchen and proceeds to check all the prepared food for the weekends event. Cleaning up his station he goes to put away his knife set which was next to the meat slicer from earlier. His main artisan Chef knife was not on the table. He proceeds to clean up stations and check all the bins. He checks the load washer, the prep table and the main line area where sometimes one of his helpers would use the item.

Something falls in the freezer which startles Parmar. As a reaction he grabs the honing steel and goes to the freezer. Opening the door wide and fast he sees that a box of fries has fallen. Parmar places the steel rod down and picks up the box of fries placing it back into its spot.

Parmar is a larger fellow; this exercise and startle has given him the sweats. He removes his apron and wipes the oozing off his brow. He looks over and sees someone standing in the load washing area. He calls out to them, and they do not answer. He walks over. The person is in a ranger's outfit hunched over like something of a fairy tale. He asks if the person is deaf or retarded with a chuckle.

As Parmar says this next to the man, the man straightens up as though he'd been in a trance. Then Derek reveals himself to Parmar with a belly button deepening tear with his own Chef's knife! Derek pulls it out and swiftly slices Parmar's throat so he couldn't call out for help! Parmar scurries over to one of the loading dock doors off the kitchen where he sees Jeremy off in a distance smoking a cigarette. He tries to wave and get his attention. Derek decides to gut the fat man like a pig. Parmar watches as his stomach comes outside of his body. In disbelief and utter terror he watches as Derek lunges the honing steel up through his skull! Parmar's body falls down into the dock. Derek locks the doors from inside, just as Jeremy looks over that way.
