Chapter 23: Life moves on
Warning: Sensitive material ahead. (Level: High)
Jimin layed in bed shaking because of how the staff members placed their hands on him.. It made Jimin feel like he was violated. They hated Jimin since he was very aware of how things should be runned in a Mental Asylum.... Staffs were not supposed to harm the patients in any way! But all the staffs would do is tell him no one would believe him because he was the one wearing all white in the mental hospital, not them.
The following days were the same, no visitors at the Asylum meant, no freedom for the patients. It felt like everyday they were treated badly.... Jimin tried his best to follow instructions, but when a male staff would put his hands on Jimin forcefully, it made him cry and scream. It wasn't his fault, his past made him this way...
Jungkook was wearing an all black tux as he attended a funeral... His Grandmother's funeral. Jungkook sat down staring blankly at the closed coffin while they dug a hole on the ground to place in the brown casket in.
Jungkook was holding his Grandmother's pictured frame in his hands as all the tears were drained from his eyes. The doctors told her she would be healthy....if She continued taking harsh medications. But what the wise old woman didn't tell her family was that she had plans to finally rest with her late husband. The treatments were harsh and she never liked suffering... So it was her decision and didn't want any of her family members to know... Not even Jungkook. The Grandmother knew Jungkook wouldn't let her decide like that, so she wanted her death to be natural.. As he heart failed her once Jungkook and Jimin were the last to see her.
She left behind final letters and gifts for the grieving family, and left Jungkook an extra special one. After they placed the coffin down underground and began to place dirt over her coffin to cover up the hole now... Jungkook's mother approached Jungkook and placed a wooden box and a letter down on his lap. "Jungkook, this is for you." Mrs. Jeon whispered and gave her son a hug as he was sitting down watching the dirt bury the casket.
Jungkook looked down at the wooden box and letter in his possession and knew it was from his Grandmother... Mrs. Jeon left Jungkook alone to read the letter as he began to open it.
As Jungkook opened the letter silently, it was a written note his Grandmother wrote before she passed away.
____________________________________For my wonderful Grandson, Jeon Jungkook
Jeon Jungook... I know you are hurt now finding out that I chose to leave. I just didn't want to suffer and ended up lying to you all saying I will be well... The truth was, I wasn't ready to take on the harsh medications they had in store for me.. I'm old and it was time for me to finally meet your Grandfather after a whole year of being alone. But do you know what? Throughout that year of my loneliness, you were there for me and made me laugh and smile.. Jungkook, I know you wanted that to last forever.. But we both knew this day was coming.
I got what I wanted at the end of my life, and that was to see my little Jungkook grow up big and strong.. And of course, fall in love! I met Park Jimin... He is such a sweet boy for you.. Perfect in your eyes and I want you to hold him close to your heart now. I want you to take what's in that box and give it to Park Jimin on that special day you two will marry... I know you both will get far because I can see it now.
Don't cry now, I will be watching over you both.. Protecting you both.. I'll be able to see the wedding! So no worries. Stay strong and tell Jimin you love him, and I'll be the one who cheers and supports you both all the way! Like a real and caring grandmother should....
I love you Jungkook, and don't let anyone tell you how to live your life.

Jungkook had tears running from his eyes as he opened the box. He didn't have it in him to finish the letter so quickly.. But now he was moving onto opening the box. When Jungkook opened the smooth and wooden box, there was two golden engagement rings sitting on a red silk pillow material. In the bottom of the box, it read
Jeon Jungkook and Park Jimin
Suddenly, Jungkook began to cry loudly and hold the letter to his face as he cried in tears. "I-I promise.. I promise I will marry Park Jimin, Grandmother.." Jungkook whispered in tears as he looked up at the sky.. There was nothing left to do but smile through his tears and gaze up at the perfect sky to thank his Grandmother for everything she has done.
When Jungkook got to his room, he set the wooden box up a shelf along with the letter and layed back on his bed, not wanting to take off his attire. He hugged his pillow silently as Mr. Jeon walked in.
"Hello, Jungkook..." Mr. Jeon whispered walking up to his son laying in bed. "The Asylum wants us to know that we can come back anytime we can. Take as long as we need.." Mr. Jeon said as Jungkook shook his head.
"I'll go back..." Jungkook replied.
"Are you sure Jungkook?" Mr. Jeon asked feeling worried about Jungkook since he was the closest to the Grandmother.
"Y-yes.. I need to see Park Jimin and I can't neglect him for this long..." Jungkook said as he sat up looking at his father. "I'll be fine.. Thankyou."
