Chapter 18: New Years eve

It was the morning and Jungkook was getting ready to see Jimin at the Asylum. Mr. Jeon walked into Jungkook's room to get him ready for his volunteering services at the Mental Hospital.

"Good morning, Jungkook.. Yesterday while you went to your Grandmother's house, I decided to sign you up for volunteering hours at the Asylum... Other jobs will have to wait." Mr. Jeon claimed as Jungkook was ready to head over and see Jimin. He was wearing a jean jacket over his white shirt, blue jeans and Timberlands. This was his usual outfit.

"Thankyou, Father..." Jungkook thanked his Father then looked at himself in the mirror. "Father.. I won't be with you and the family for new years..." Jungkook claimed. "I made a friend and it'll be a shame that I can't spend New Years with him... He gets really lonely.

"He? Are you talking about Park Jimin? You both just met yesterday.. How can you both already have a deep connection?"

"We met before. Jimin is such a nice and calm patient.. He loves New Years and I know he doesn't have family to visit him so I want to be a good friend to him and make him happy by being there." Jungkook claimed as his father placed on his white coat over his black, grey and green vest with his dress pants and classic black shoes.

"So are you going to give up your New Years family time with someone who really needs company?" Mr. Jeon then smiled. "I don't know what it is, but you really have changed! Changed into a mature man who loves to help others.. This is a big change for the New Year!" Mr. Jeon smiled. "Will you take food with you?" Mr. Jeon asked. "You both will stay in the Asylum together... Right? You both are not allowed to leave! So don't get any ideas." Mr. Jeon claimed as Jungkook laughed.

"Of course not, Father. The security there is tough! It's like another Prison.." Jungkook lied as he began to comb his silk hair while staring at his reflection on the mirror.

"Okay, that's good.. As long as I know you won't have any ideas, there won't be much staff members and securities there like usual... The year of the Dog will soon be here and no one is going to stay working to give up the New year!" Mr. Jeon said as he fixed his coat. "Are you ready to go? I'll give you money so you'll buy something after your volunteering hours. I know some restaurants that will be open and have take out so you can order your New Years meal.

"Know any Restaurants that will be open at the time without take out?" Jungkook asked.

"Many... But most of them is for two or more guests." Mr. Jeon said as Jungkook nodded.

"Okay, lets go." Jungkook said. "I want to start my volunteering hours."

"Jungkook, that isn't until later... But you can still be there because the staff reallly likes you there. They told me you were holding Park Jimin's hand, Jimin doesn't like physical contact.. But you were able to keep him calm about it! So the Staff members want you there to make Jimin feel better even when he needs to take his medications and vitamins." Mr. Jeon claimed as he walked out of the room with Jungkook.

"Alright, Tell mother when she gets back from work, that I wish her a Happy New Year. Hope you both have a great one with the family." Jungkook said with a smile. "Will Grandmother be here?"

"She can't, she's sick but she will get well soon. Coughing is the last stage until she starts recovering. So she will be well for the New Years." Mr. Jeon promised. "The doctors said she's going well and gets healthy more and more everyday. Don't worry about her." Mr. Jeon replied as Jungkook felt happy to know his Grandmother is alright.

At the Asylum, Jungkook hurried to Jimin's room and made sure he took Sun with him aswell.

"Jungkook!" called out the father holding out Jimin's red book. "Jimin left this in my office, give this back to him for me." Mr. Jeon requested as Jungkook carried the book with him to Jimin's room. He was curious to know what Jimin wrote... And the book had many pages that were written in ink.

Jungkook walked into Jimin's room to see Jimin was sleeping on his bed.. As Jimin was asleep, Jungkook closed the door quietly and stepped in letting Sun run around the room while he placed the Red book down on the bedside counter.

Jungkook respected Jimin's words and didn't bother reading the book no matter what. As Jungkook went to sit and the window seat and look out the morning sky, Jimin woke up quickly and looked around to see Jungkook was there.

"Jungkook! Y-you scared me.." Jimin whispered as he rubbed his eyes.

"Good morning, Jimin! I brought you your book... It was in my father's office." Jungkook pointed to the book by the table.

"Jungkook! I can explain!" Jimin almost let out a cry as Jungkook was confused.

"What?"

"P-please don't be mad at me I- wait... Did you read it?" Jimin asked as Jungkook shook his head making Jimin let out a deep breath feeling calm now. "I'm sorry... I thought you did..." Jimin whispered as Jungkook chuckled.

"Jimin, of course I didn't read it! I don't want to read something you keep privately to yourself... I know what you told me on why you were brought here wasn't a lie...You would never lie to me, right?" Jungkook asked.

"O-of course not..." Jimin replied looking at his red book. This only made Jungkook feel like Jimin was hiding something in that red book of his.. There was much more to Jimin's story, and Jungkook wasn't buying the simple lie of Jimin being framed on his brother's death.
