hey, did u know, that you shouldn't fucking yell at authors to update books, it makes them rlly fucking annoyed

even if you're coming from a good place bc you rlly love their work, it puts so much unnecessary pressure on them

personally, if someone is yelling at me to do something, i'm much less inclined to do that thing

if you want to convey to an author that your love their book and want another chapter, don't just say 'UPDATE PLS!!!!!!!!!!'

try messaging or commenting something along the lines of 'hey, i really like this book and i just wanted to let you know that i'm excited for the next update'

it's simple, and makes the author feel good whenever they update, instead of shitty whenever they don't update
