Kano's pov

'Nani?! I just teased Marry! I knew that you would not be kidnapped!' I cried while Kido smacked me. 'Seto told me that Marry was crying her eyes out you baka!' She said and hitted me on my head. I fell face first on the ground and rubbed my head. 'But it means that she cares about you, commander!' Kido blushed and smacked me again.

'C-chotto! Let's just get some rest ok commander?!' I hurrily said and Kido sighed. She cracked her knuckles and said 'You're lucky that I am tired after going for a flight, you better get some rest before I beat you up till your going to have broken bones,' 'Hai hai Kido~' I said and went inside my room.

I jumped into my bed and sighed. I stared at the wall in front of me and saw the many masks I wore before I came here. The masks I wore before I became a Kitsune like the others. I raised my hand and a tiny blue fire flickered in my palm. How did me and the others become like this? How did we become mythical creatures? I ask myself that every night (Kano: and it was obviously the author of this book Bold: eh?! ) but I couldn't come up with an answer.

I closed my palm then open it again. The flame was gone and no trace was shown. The words people gave me because of my powers are still in my head. 'An ayakashi? More like a Kaibutsu' I use to think to myself. I still think like that but not that often. I sighed and closed my eyes, hoping my dreams to be peaceful and lovely. Of course, it only started that way.

'Come on Shuuya! We're almost there!' big sis Ayano cried to us. I ran up to Ayano with Kido and Seto behind me. After running behind her, we finally reached the park. 'Finally! We're here!' Ayano said and let out a sigh. 'Mum and dad will be here soon. Tsubomi! Kousuke! Shuuya! How about we split up for the time being and meet up here later?!' She said and a tired Kido stood up. 'But sis, what if we get kidnapped,' she said and Ayano shook her head. 'We'll not! Don't worry so much!' she said while her red scarf flew in the wind.

'If you say so sis!' Seto said and ran to the right. Kido and Ayano ran after him and I walked to the playground. I sat down on the swing and looked up at the sky. The sun was very bright today and no one was at the playground since it was kind of hot. Suddenly, a voice from the front of the playground said 'I'm sure no one is here!' 'Ya right!' Another voice said. I turned my head to the voices and saw 4 girls running around. A girl wearing brown pants turned to me and said to the other girls,' I told you someone would be here!'

A girl wearing a green shirt pouted and said 'I should I know?! Right Ayako?' The girl name Ayako turned at her and said 'That's right!'  A girl with slight black hair nodded her head.  I looked down at the ground and silently cried. Why couldn't I have friends like them? The girl with brown pants came next to me and said 'Do you want to play with us? You seem lonely,' I looked up and the girl was putting out her hand. 'What's your name?' the girl with black hair said and I said 'Kano, Kano shuuya,'

The girls smiled at me and the girl with brown pants said 'My name is Bold, the other girl with black hair is Kate. The girl with the green shirt is Jenuine and the girl with blue hair is Ayako,' the girls smiled at me and I smiled too. 'It's good to have friends right?' the girl name Kate said and I nodded. 'Your an orphan, right?'  Bold said and I freezed. I quietly spoke out a yes and she smiled.'Don't worry, we're orphans too. Us orphans should stick together'

The girl named Jenuine nodded and smiled. 'Come on! Let's play there!'  Ayako said and pulled me to the slide.

After some playtime, a man suddenly appeared out of no where and said 'It's good to be happy right?' I turned around and saw a man holding a knife. He had a crazy smile and he said 'I told you that you can't be happy,'  He ran to Jenuine and stab her through her neck. He then ran to the sandbox where Bold and Kate were and stabbed them through the chest. The 3 fell down, bleeding and dying. He then turned to Ayako, who was cowarding in fear near the swings. He dragged her in front of me and she struggled. The girls tried to stop him but couldn't. 'R....run, Aya...... and........Ka...Kano!' Kate said and fell down again.

The guy stood in front of me and showed Ayako in front of my face. 'This is what you get for not dying back then little boy. You're friends will die instead of you,' He then stabbed Ayako in front of me and I walked back in fear. 'No.......no!' I screamed out and closed my eyes. Suddenly, blue flames appeared around me  and the guy looked around. 'What the- who are you kid?!' The guy said but before he got an answer, he burned into the blue flames and disappeared without a trace.

Suddenly, Seto was behind me and he said 'Kano, you-you-' 'I'm a monster! Get away from me!' I screamed out and pointed at the girls. 'They died, because they chose to be my friends,' I said and cowered in fear. Ayano appeared next to me and said 'It's ok Shuuya, they will be ok,'  Suddenly, big sis suddenly changed to another guy and smirked. 'You will join them too,' the guy said and almost putted the knife on my chest when

'NO!' I said and sat up. 'A dream,' I said and looked around, 'It was all a dream, a memory' I said to myself and looked at my hands. They were shaking. But I thought one of the girls in my dream looked like the girl we saved. I shook my head and said 'nah, that can't be real'  and when back to sleep. But in my heart, I truly believe that something was wrong.
