Chapter No 2
This Chapter Is Unedited!!!
Tara gazed at the moon unblinkingly, a soft smile playing on her face as her mind traveled back to that one person who occupied her thoughts these days.
Mere bare mein soch rahi ho?
Tara turned her head to the side, startled, his voice was a soft whisper that sent a warm tickle through her heart.
His presence was warm and comforting making her smile as she suddenly felt lighter.
Kya soch rahi thi?
He asked, a mischievous twinkle dancing in his gaze.
She shook her head sideways, a smile playing on her face.
Kuch nahin.
She said softly, her eyes bright with mischief.
Acha toh...
He trailed off, something in his eyes had her breath hitching in her throat.
Toh?
She asked, her voice dropping to a whisper.
Mujhe aisa lag raha hai jaise tum kuch soch rahi ho.
It took her a moment to realize that his voice sounded right in her ear, the warm breath whispering against her ear sent shivers down her spine.
Tum.....
She gasped and then went still.
Kuch mehsoos nahin kerti?
The tenderness in his voice melted her all over again and she shivered. Her brows knitted together in a delicate expression of confusion. Was the shiver from the cold air that swept around her or because of the warmth of his breath that was whispering against her ear.
Pata nahin.
She whispered into the quite night.
Humain nahin kerni.
She said with a soft shake of her head, a sigh left her lips.
A sound reached her ears and it startled her. She turned around to find herself standing alone. The air that swept around her was cold but the warmth that had engulfed her heart into a comforting embrace shielded her and she walked inside the room.
As she entered the room, she found Dhruv sitting on the bed with a pen in his mouth, turning the pages of the file, his expression focused and Tara watched him with an undefinable emotion that left her puzzled, a soft smile playing on her face.
Aise kya dekh rahi ho?
He asked, still looking at the files. His voice startled her and a sharp gasp tore from her lips.
Hum......
She trailed off, twirling a lock around her finger and then left it and it bounced back to the place.
She shook her head sideways, a half smile playing on her lips.
Kuch nahin.
She said, her voice barely above a whisper.
Dhruv sprang up from the bed and walked towards the bed. She could feel the warmth coming from his body as he stood behind her and her breath hitched.
She turned, their eyes locking.
Dhruv stepped forward. She looked at him, her eyes wide as her heart started to pound loudly in her ears. Her breath stuck somewhere at the base of her throat.
Yeh aap kya ker rahe hain?
She wanted to ask, the question was at the tip of her tongue but she found that she couldn't. The intensity of his eyes held her captive.
As he moved forward, she stepped back, their eyes remained locked, her heart was pounding wildly in her ears and she gulped softly, her knees threatening to give out anytime soon.
Chikitsak Doctor Dhruv.
She called out, her tone way softer than she had intended.
Her back hit the dressing table behind and she gasped feeling a jolt coursing through her.
Kya hua?
He asked, his arms immediately wrapped around her frame to prevent her from falling. She gasped and looked at him, her eyes wide in shock, a hint of fear evident in the depth. Her arms went still, hanging in mid air.
Her heart pounded, the world around them faded into insignificance leaving only the two of them in their own bubble.
She gathered her strength, her hands trembling with anticipation as she lifted them up and held his shoulder, her touch hesitant but tender.
Theek ho?
She couldn't hear him, she was losing herself in the depths of his gaze. Her world shrunk to him and she gazed up.
His hold on her waist was firm but gentle and she gazed at him, feeling her heart swell with emotion. The look on his face was tender and full of love, a love so deep that it stole her breath away. She felt the warmth of his touch, sparking goosebumps along her skin. She wanted to step back but couldn't. She found herself glued to the spot, as he twirled her around, a gasp escaped her lips as her back touched his front. Heat flooded through her and she held her breath, his breath tickled her ear and she felt a shiver race down her spine.
As he lifted her up in the air and turned her around gently, she faced him with her breath held captive. Her heart thundering in her ears as she as she locked eyes with him, the intensity of his gaze left her completely breathless, a mixture of tenderness and an emotion she couldn't quite place flooded through her heart and she grasped one of his broad shoulders tightly trying to hold herself together.
Tara!!!
His voice startled her tugging her out of her thoughts and she looked at him, her eyes widened before she coughed lightly.
Kya hua?
Dhruv asked, his voice softer than he had intended. His eyes tinged with concern as he helped her walk towards the bed. Making her sit on the bed, he reached for the jug and poured the water in a glass and then he held it out for her to drink.
Piyo.
Dhruv said softly, their eyes locked, his concern evident as he reached out and gently patted her back. She sipped the water.
Dhruv placed the glass back on the table and pulled out a few tissues from the tissue box which was placed on the table and wiped her mouth, his touch carrying a mixture of tenderness and care that made her heart swell.
He looked at her, sitting beside her. He reached out and held her hand, his touch gentle but hesitant.
Theek ho?
He asked, his eyes tinged with concern.
Ji.
Tara said, her voice a quite murmur before she let out a relived breath thankful for the distraction. Her heart racing against her chest.
As they layed side by side, Tara watched him, a mixture of tenderness and confusion evident in her eyes. She couldn't sleep. The questions roaming in her mind won't let her.
She let out a gentle sigh and leaned closer slightly. s
She watched him laying on the bed peacefully asleep unaware of her chaotic state of mind.
As he lay there peacefully asleep. She delicately traced the counters of his features which were softened in the embrace of sleep. She leaned in, her fingers itching to caress his hair but she knew that she can't do it because he doesn't believe in this marriage and according to him, she doesn't have a right to do it.
Was it really a marriage?
She thought, her brows knitting together in a delicate expression of confusion.
It's not a real marriage.
Her heart ached at the thought. She knew that she was supposed to marry senapati Samrat but the thought that this marriage wasn't real and she was Dhruv,s wife only in name hurted her more then she cared to admit.
Her eyes welled up with tears and she squeezed her eyes shut holding her breath for a moment as she struggled to compose herself.
She wiped the tears that were threatening to escape her eyes any moment and closed her eyes letting out a soft exhale.
Kitna ajeeb hai na...
She trailed off, her hand under her chin, her heart pounding with a mixture of anxiety and an emotion she was unable to make out.
Ke hum....
She trailed off and sucked in a breath, a tear trailed down her cheek which she didn't wipe, her heart heavy with the weight of emotions that threatened to overwhelm her.
Humare mann mein shayad woh jagah bana raha hai jo shayad humara kabhi nahin ho sakta.
Tara spoke, her voice barely above a whisper, tears threatening to escape her eyes any moment.
Ek baar bas ek baar....
She trailed off, lifting her hand and moving it forward, towards his hair but stopped just before his hair.
Ek baar keh do ke humein apni patni mante ho.
She said softly, her voice breaking in anguish.
Bhagwan ji ki sogandh tumhare liye sabse lad jayenge.
She added, her voice trembling with an overwhelming sense of anguish that threatened to tear her apart.
She pushed herself up from the bed and walked out of the room.
Dhruv,s eyes fluttered open, and he watched her going with damp eyes and heavy heart.
I can't love you Tara.
Dhruv said, his voice a fragile whisper. The air around him felt heavy with the weight of his emotions. His heart heavy with a mixture of insecurity and self doubt.
I'm sorry.
He said, his voice trembling with emotion.
Main kabhi bhi tumhein woh pyaar aur khushiyan nahin de sakta Jo tum deserve kerti ho.
Dhruv said, the words trembling out of him laced with a mixture of fear and uncertainty.
I'm sorry.
His voice trembled with guilt and he stood up from the bed. Taking out a paper from the drawer, he took a deep breath, his pen hovering over the blank paper as he gulped softly. His hands were trembling betraying the storm of emotions that coursed through him, the pen felt unusually heavy in his grasp. His fingers quivering echoing his raced heartbeats.
As he penned down the emotions burried deep within the chambers of his heart, he felt a lump form in his throat, his hands trembled as he felt a wave of coldness washing over him. As the sense of coldness gripped his heart in it's tight clutches, refusing to let go, his eyes felt heavy and he blinked them to clear his vision.
He stood up feeling a sudden warmth course through his body, his head spun and he took a step forward before helted in his tracks.
He forced himself to gulp and took some unsteady steps towards the bed. He held his head for a moment and blinked his eyes feeling darkness coming from all sides of his vision to consume him. He blinked his eyes rapidly before his legs gave out and he sat on the bed. He reached out for the jug of water and then sprinkled a few droplets of water over his face with his hand
