It's not really an AU though, but now that SU has wrapped up, I thought that I'd like to talk about it. A long time ago, when SU was only on it's second season, I was a total fan of Amethyst because, that is my birthstone, but later down the line, I grew more to Pearl, not just the main Pearl, but Pearls in general. Anyway, I hated how bad things akways happened to Amethyst, what Pearl said in Cat Finger, her gem cracking in An Indirect Kiss, and later on, going through the whole reformation process in Reformed,  so I decided to create my own thing, about an Amethyst girl moving to a bew city run only by gems known as Gemville with her fusion mother Cynthia, human father Sandy, and pearl sister Hildegard or Hildie for short. She met all sorts of gems from Homeworld and Earth, so let's start with the main characters.
Nicole Gemson (voiced by Michaela Dietz): our show's main character, she's a chill fun loving 14 year old Amethyst girl, youngest in the Gemson family with her sister Hildie, only being 16, she was found by a fusion gem and a human in the Prime Kindergarten 10 years ago and was taken in by them, when they brought Nicole home, Hildie tried to be nice to her, yet strict at the same time, causing them to have a rocky start, until Hildie saved her sister from a group of rebel pearls she used to be with, and since then, the two acted like how normal sisters would, on the day of her 14th birthday, Nicole received a mysterious letter telling her to head back to the Prime Kindergarten with her family, where the found a Wailing Stone, after sone translation, it was revealed to be from the long list fifth diamond, Purple Diamond, who sacrificed herself to reincarnate as an Amethyst in the hole her gem was left at,  that hole was the hole Nicole popped out of, making her the new Purple Diamond, after finding out the truth, she began to start a true bond with one of the reincarnated Diamonds, Blue Diamond, one of the few existing "male" gems, they started out as a couple, until at a masquerade ball, Nicole revealed that the two cannot be together due to both being Diamonds, practically being related to each other. Once that happened, she began to take more responsibility and starred to act as more of a leader, even unlocking her full Diamond power by defeating a corrupted Yellow Pearl. Her mother Cynthia had found two abandoned gems in town, adopting them until they fully grow up, those gems became Nicole's new little siblings, Sapphire, a sarcastic future seeing gem, and Jasper, a rough and tough yet still very small quartz. One dark night, a mysterious black figure appeared to fight Nicole, she had almost lost if it wasn't for her discovering a new power known as the Diamond shield, similar to Pink Steven's shield, but purple. That figure was revealed to be Black Pearl, the servant of Black Diamond, who was sealed away in a temple 100,000 years ago. Black Diamond was eventually freed, making Nicole anxious, and once Black had released a Diamond Ball, Black showed her true colors and greyified every gem there except for Nicole and her family, practically turning them into stone. Once Nicole decided to fight off Black Diamond, Black split her in two, a quartz side, and a diamond side, the two eventually came back together and Black knew that it's not your past ir future that defines you, it's how you want to act around others.
Crystal 'Chrissy' Ruby/Gemson (Voiced by Charlyne Yi, first appearance only, Hynden Walch): Chrissy is a young, spunky, abd ignorant a few year old Ruby, her name was given to her when Nicole and her family first met her in a crystal cavern, she preferred the name Chrissy as that's what she was always referred to as, she's a Ruby who was first sent to Earth from an abandoned planet, but instead of landing in Gemville, she landed in the crystal cavern where she met the Gemsons. Since she has never been to Earth before, her dialect is pretty similar to Starfire's,  that's not the reason she is voiced by Hynden Walch, to explain this, when she met the Gemsons, the cavern was about to collapse, with Chrissy saving them, though her voice was damaged in the process,  later on, she found a group of Rubies that went to go looking for her, until she told them that she liked it better being the only Ruby on Earth with a family than to be one of a million Rubies with no family, so those Rubies now live in the garage as they now have Chrissy as a leader. Later on, she helped a Ruby in the future named Navy learn to accept help from others, even becoming the future leader of the Rubies. Now she's known as Nicole's best friend and learned to become just as responsible as her.
Starla Lazuli/Gemson (Linda Cardelini): Starla is a chill, sporty, 1,000 year old Lapis Lazuli, she was a Lapis Lazuli who worked for a fusion of a Lapis Lazuli and a Jasper named Malachite, the Lapis Lazulis who worked for her had to because of their treason against Homeworld, and was chained up for 500 years, no one knew what she did, but she was always Malachite's least favorite, she just wanted to explore what it was like above water, but Malachite's chains stooped her from doing so. One day, she finally freed herself, meeting Nicole on the beach side, not knowing about who she really was, Nicole got a taste of what it was like to fly, and Starla got a taste of freedom, until she was found by Malachite and learned the error of her ways, but wanted to live on land with the Gemson family. Later on, when an Aquamarine was planning on poluting the water she had lived in, Starla decided to protect her friends, no matter what Malachite had done, unlocking a new gem form, Magix, a gem form that changed a gem's appearance, gave them a necklace that emits magic dust, and permanent wings. One day, during a tough battle, Starla was poofed, never wanting to leave her gem because she felt weak, but Nicole, using her new Gem Telapathy ability, an ability to access the worlds inside any poofed gem, she convinced her that no one is truly weak, they just need improvement. When Black Diamond was on the verge of returning, Black Pearl collected shards of gems to make her return, as she needed a shard from every kind of gem, including Lapis Lazulis and Jaspers, so she decided to shatter Malachite, which upset Starla, as she always saw them as a sort of mother figure, even having a funeral for the fallen fusion. Now she's in charge of the Lapis Lazulis, even finding those who still atick to Homeworld's old beliefs.
Katie Peridot/Gemson (Voiced by Shelby Rabara): Katie is a small, smart, very young Peridot than originated from an abandoned colony, she had lived in isolation for years, until she noticed that an Earth Kindergarten had some strange activity going on, the Gemson family wanted to know the same thing, as they chased diwn two corrupted Nephrites that were looking for each other, and since Katie was roo exhausted to head back home, staying with  the family, much to Nicole's dismay, as she didn't trust a gem who used limb enhancers, so the two continued to hate each other, until thwy bonded on an adventure in Gemville's town square to repair Katie's arm enhancer, but she decided she didn't need it anymore. Lateron, she met a defective Citrine formed in the Beta Kindergarten, and they fell in love, until the Citrine decided to sacrifice himself and shattered, leaving Katie heartbroken and in tears. After the shattering, Katie felt bad for herself and wouldn't come out of her room,  so Nicole and her friends decided to take her on a trip to her old planet, but they didn't exoect it to be riddled with Jades, nothing but Jades as far as the eye could see, so the Jades treatef Katie like a queen, thinking she founded the place, she did like being treated like royalty, but she didn't realize that the Jades made her queen because the fed all low class gems to a corrupted Spodumene, which she was poofed from, but came out as an entirely new gem, not feeling down anymore.
Honey Kaia (Voiced by Grace Rolek): Honey Kaia is the first and only hybrid who was part of Nicole's friend group, she's half Asian American Human, and half Larimar, she was Nicole's fashion obsessed best friend and learned how to play the guitar, making Nicole and her friends start a band naned The Gemstones. Later on, after reuniting with her darkhearted mother, Honey got in touch with her bad side, freeing corrupted gems to attack Gemville, and after a talk.with her friend about how you shouldn't let the past get into you, so Honey and her mother left Gemville to live with Honey's father in Harmony City, Nicole video chats with her every week. When Nicole and her friends took a trip to Harmony City for the annual Song and Dance Ball, a Demantoid and Pyrope couple attacked for disturbing their peace and quiet with loud music, Honey and Nicole defeated and reformed them, with Honey unlocking her Magix form.
Lacey Amethyst/Gemson (Voiced by Hynden Walch): Lacey is a fashionable and snarky a thousand year old Lace Amethyst. Lacey had lived in the Beta Kindergarten her whole life, only having quartzes, corrupted or not, as company0, but she was fine with it. Her friends, Cherry Quartz and Zebra Jasper, had become corrupted when Black Diamond released black energy that could corrupt nearly any gem, leaving Lacey completely alone, but she was fine with it. She met Nicole when she saved her home from being destroyed by an Aquamarine, but instead of living with her, Lacey preferred to continue living alone. One day, Lacey noticed a mysterious shadow looming over the Beta Kindergarten, so she called Nicole, Chrissy and Starla to come check it out, it turned out to be a young spunky Spinel, but we'll get to him later, and the two became fast friends. Once her two friends became uncorrupted, she hrlped them fit into modern gem society, and she continues to help all uncorrupted quartzes.
Maxie Spinel (Voiced by Justin Felbinger): Maxie is a young and spunky Spinel, who was the last gem that knew Purple Diamond before she left, so he grew a big attachment to Nicole when he realized she was Purple. Nicole found him in the Beta Kindergarten and he became fast friends with Lacey, she even gave him a new look. Maxie and Nicole went really well together, they're both mischievous at times. At the Diamond Ball Black Diamond threw, the two got along really well, danced together and even fell in love, driving Black to split them apart, which drove her to greyify everyone there, and when Nicole was sit in two, Maxie motivated her to come back together and defeat Black.
Marina Gemson (Voiced by Amanda Leighton): Marina is a small, newly made and caniving Aquamarine. She's a trickster who loves to mess with people and get her way, like when she polluted the Malachite Ocean, or destroying the Beta Kindergarten. She soon learned her lesson when an innocent Padparadscha naned Padda came into her life and she learned to be nicer and less of a spoiled brat
The Pearls (Voiced by Jessica Diciccio, Kari Walgren and Evany Rosen): These three pearls were the pearls of Pink Diamond, Blue Diamond and Purple Diamond, and are three best friends. Pink pearl is a sparring tomboy, Blue pearl is an egotistical fashionista, and Purple pearl is an obsessive neat freak. They may be different, but they go together vety well. The three wanted to join in their favorite singer, Snowflake O.B., but they lost their gem essence in the process, but with some help, they got it back and saved Snowflake's career. Blue Pearl and Maxie were even a couple at one point, until Black Diamond seaked Blue into her gem, he tried to get help from White Diamond's old pearl, but nothing worked. Blue was restored and the three pearls became The Wonder Pearls, the biggest band in Gemville.
