In all of this, his foster father, Gojo Satoru, had a kinda friendship/ rivalry with one of his fellow models, Ryomen Sukuna. Which resulted in them staying in a house together

There he met his best friend, Sukuna's younger brother, Itadori Yuji. They soon became inseparable. Since both both of them had kinda the same situation

Yuji turned out to be his greatest escape. He stopped wasting his energy hating his father and uncle to put it in more productive things such as playing with Yuji

Both of them were each other's rocks

Their friendship was unbreakable, at least that's what Mai thought when she saw how happy Megumi truly was

But disaster struck when both of the boys hit puberty and started to get to know each other

He probably expected Yuji to be straight, or not like him like that or even disgusted by him. He couldn't afford that. That would probably destroy him even more

While thinking all these, Mai didn't even realize when Megumi picked up his jacket and came closer to her

"I told you this before, you don't need to wait for me for unnecessary amount of time to leave "

She gave the younger boy a smile

"Yeah... I know, but I like sitting with you. It's calming since I can seat in peace "

He didn't say anything, just hummed like he always did

"Kay, I'm off"

He said before throwing his jacket on the back of his shoulder and starting to walk away

He paused, looking back at her with a raised eyebrow

She gave him a comforting smile

"Just to make sure.... Don't waste your time pleasing someone you'll never care about... Life and time is way to short to waste in unnecessary shit like this "

For a second, just for a tiny second. His facade broke and he just looked defeated. But then he put the same emotionless face back on

"I don't know what you're talking about "

He said before leaving an equally defeated Mai on the empty studio

He thought that he might have actually avoided being humiliated or something today, maybe today was his lucky day

He said in acknowledgment, though all he wanted to do is run from this guy

He retored back, the same shitty smile on his face that represents hid rotten personality perfectly

"I think Satoru is right on this one, Megumi... When will you bring a girl home?"

His sorry excuse of a father, a person who made him believe there is nothing more than selfishness in this world, Toji Fushiguro said

"I said it before, I'm saying it again I don't want a-

"You don't want to or you don't have the balls to huh?"

The other person he hated the most after his shitty father and foster father, Ryomen Sukuna said with a mocking grin on his face

Megumi just clamped his mouth shut, he kept telling himself, a few more months, just a few more months

"Hey cut it out, let him be. Don't bother him Sukuna nii-chan"

A voice spoke, a voice he preays to hear everyday, his biggest supporter even after all he put him through, Itadori Yuji

He stood up for him again, every time, like every day

"You don't understand, brat. The media is getting crazy. If this guy isn't seen with a girl soon, they will name him gay. You know what it will do? His career will be at sake"

Megumi just gave Sukuna a look before looking back at Yuji

"I don't need you to defend all the time. For goodness sake, I'm not a baby..."

He says he before getting back in the room

Still thinking to himself how he'll ever forgive himself for hurting Yuji like this
