You walked through the dark and creepy room, hearing creaks and other creepy noises around you. (Like the sound of your teacher assigning homework.) A chill went down your spine. You definitely did not want to be here. At ALL. But, hey, you got dared to do it, so...

Suddenly, everything around you is completely dark. You freeze in place, your blood turning to ice. You heard an ear piercing shriek as something lunged towards you...

But then something- or someone- swooped down on bat-like wings and flew you away from the danger. They set you down on the ground once you were away from the dark and creepy building.

"Are you okay?" They asked you. All you could manage was a nod. They smiled, and their- fangs?- glinted in the moonlight. "Well, well, looks like you've had quite a scare." There was a pause. "Say, I know what will make you feel better." They gave you a quick peck on the cheek, and you blushed a bit. "My name is Shade Man, what's yours?" "(Y-y/n)..."
Shade Man smiled, his fangs shining in the moonlight again. "That's a wonderful name." He took your hand. "Come on, I'll take you back home. You don't have to be afraid."
