Red's P.O.V

My journey has been one of the best I could imagine. Andrew and I have gone through so many parts of Kanto which I really enjoyed. I heard on TV that Ash had won the Indigo League and is moving on to defeat the Elite Four. My team has become a lot stronger now with Ivysaur and Wartortle evolving. We have been travelling for so long, we decided on taking a break at Andrew's lab located in Saffron City. I turned on the TV to find a news report happening.

"There have been sightings of the escaped Pokémon from Team Rocket in Cerulean City" The reporter on the TV exclaimed.

This intrigued me so I called Andrew to see if we could go. When I explained to him about the escaped Pokémon, he was interested in it as well. We grabbed our belongings and flew off to Cerulean City.

In Cerulean City

Upon arriving, we searched through the town looking for clues to where this Pokémon could be. Andrew asked some of the civilians and they pointed towards the nugget bridge. When we crossed it, we saw a bunch of destroyed trees and messy grass. We saw the Cerulean Cave entrance and decided that it might be in there. As we went through the wet tunnels of the cave, there stood the escaped Pokémon, Mewtwo.

No P.O.V

Red grabbed a Pokéball from his belt and sent out his Charizard while Mewtwo got into a battle stance. Andrew stood by watching the battle as Charizard fired a Flamethrower at Mewtwo. This barely did anything as Mewtwo used Light Screen to nullify the damage and fired back with Psychic. This caused Charizard to get thrown but he wouldn't give up, Red ordered him to Dragon Claw while Mewtwo defended using Psystrike.

"ROAR!!!" Charizard roared as he fell.

"Charizard" Red cried running towards him.

This gave Mewtwo the chance to send a Psystrike towards them. The purple attack started to get closer to Red and Charizard so they braced for impact. An explosion occurred but Red and Charizard felt nothing, they looked up to see Andrew's Lucario in Mega form protecting them. This really surprised Mewtwo as he hasn't seen a male mega evolve in years.

"What's this, how can you mega evolve?" Mewtwo telepathically spoke.

"I'm doing this in honour of my father, I want to have peace with Mega Evolution" Andrew answered.

"Very well, you are a worthy trainer so I'll let you be" Mewtwo exclaimed.

Mewtwo used Psychic to move the two to the side while he went back to battling Red. After about an hour, he used Psychic to launch Charizard back which ended up hitting Red and sending him and Charizard into the water.

"RED" Andrew called out.

"Not as strong as Andrew, I expected more from someone like him" Mewtwo said turning around and about to walk away. Just then, a huge splash of water occurred in the area Red fell.

Red's P.O.V

As soon as Mewtwo launched Charizard with Psychic, he went towards me and sent me into the water in the cave. I could hardly breathe and I thought that this was the end for me and Charizard. Just then, I spotted some mysterious blue stone and when Charizard landed on it, the mega stone in my wristband started shining. My own Charizard mega evolved, I couldn't believe it, we were able to fly out of the water to face Mewtwo again.

"Dragon Claw" I ordered.

Charizard flew towards Mewtwo and hit him with a hard Dragon Claw dealing a lot of damage. My Pokédex told me that his ability in this mega evolution is Tough Claws which deals more damage when using contacting moves. The two battled it out until Mewtwo got very tired and held his hand out. Maybe he's had enough.

"Stop, you are a powerful trainer Red and I hope you'll become an even better one" Mewtwo told me, "I have high hopes for you and your brother"

With that, he walked away to go heal. Andrew came running towards me checking to see if I was alright and my condition wasn't that good. On the other hand, my Charizard was able to mega evolve into its X form. I guess I should keep this a secret because I don't want to be another target for the head women trainers. I spoke too soon because a bunch of female trainers with mega stones appeared and caught us red handed.

"We've got you now" The first one said.

"You two will be executed for mega evolving illegally" The second one added.

"Why should we be executed just because our chromosomes are different?" Andrew questioned, "It's unfair that all men can't mega evolve, not every man is evil" he added, "And because of this, you people killed my father and I'm never going to see him again"

"Ah tough luck, you'll at least join your father then" The third one laughed. I couldn't believe it, they didn't care about Andrew's father's death.

"Alright, that's it" Andrew said mega evolving his Lucario again and getting into battle.

No P.O.V

Andrew's Lucario went into battle with the three women's Pokémon. They sent out a Pidgeot, Gengar and Alakazam and mega evolved them. The Pokémon battled and Lucario had the upper hand due to having a lot of experience in battling multiple foes at once. Lucario was able to do a lot of damage but grew very tired after taking a hit from Mewtwo. This gave the girls chances to attack and the Aura Pokémon took a lot of damage. As it was growing weak, the women were about to make a final move only to get stopped by a psychic power. There stood Mewtwo with his arms crossed.

"You three are disgraceful, attacking a person's Pokémon with when it's weakened and insulting a person's family member's death" Mewtwo exclaimed, "You think you are much better but trainers like you I absolutely hate, you don't deserve Mega Evolution"

And with that, Mewtwo swung his hand causing the women to get knocked out and the Pokémon to revert back to normal. He used his powers to take their mega stones and destroyed the Pokéballs that contained the three Pokémon. They were thrilled to get released and were set free from the misery they caused. Mewtwo then led the two heroes out of the cave and bid them farewell.

"I'm glad Mewtwo helped us, or else we'd be goners" Red exclaimed.

"He hopes I will succeed in my quest, I'll make him and my father proud" Andrew said confidently. The two then flew back to Saffron City thinking about the future.
