Red's P.O.V

So Andrew and I have been travelling for a while now and I've got some new additions to the team. Pidgey evolved into a Pidgeot and I caught a Lapras and Eevee. Pikachu really likes to ride on Newcastle since he's very big for an average Nidoking. I fought a lot of trainers throughout my journey and Ash has already set out on his a while back. As we were walking, a bunch of female trainers ganged up on us. I noticed them wearing Mega Rings and I do not like the look of things.

"Well if it isn't a bunch of lousy boys" The first girl started.

"Who are you calling lousy?" I questioned.

"All guys are lousy, that's why they are never allowed to Mega Evolve" Another girl replied.

"I wouldn't think that" Andrew exclaimed.

The four girls scoffed and tossed a Pokéball each. The first one sent out a Gyarados, the second one sent out an Aerodactyl, the third one sent out a Houndoom and the last one sent out a Tyranitar. I was surprised to see that there were a few Johto Pokémon until I realised that they all had keystones. The four girls placed their fingers on their Mega Rings and Mega Evolved their Pokémon. I didn't have any good Pokémon on me but Andrew seemed to have a plan.

"How about I show you what this boy can do" Andrew stated while pulling out a Dusk Ball.

Andrew tossed his Dusk Ball to send out a Pokémon that I would've never seen in Kanto. It was a Lucario and I've heard so much about how cool it was. I noticed it wearing a necklace that had a keystone in it. I turned to see Andrew do something to his watch which opened a slot that contained a Mega Stone. He placed his fingers on it and his Lucario Mega Evolved. Andrew ordered his partner to use Aura Sphere on Gyarados and Houndoom and Flash Cannon on Tyranitar and Aerodactyl. He swept their Pokémon and the girls were shocked.

"You better not tell anyone about this or else" Andrew informed coldly which made the girls nod. The girls returned their Pokémon and ran off.

"Andrew, I thought you told me only girls were allowed to Mega Evolve" I exclaimed.

"That is true but I'll tell you the truth" Andrew started, "My father was in the Mega Resistance which were men who secretly Mega Evolved" Andrew explained, "Before my father was killed by the head women, he gave me his Mega Stone and it was my mission to let everyone be able to Mega Evolve" Andrew added, "I have found more Mega Stones throughout my journey and you seem capable"

"What do you mean?" I asked.

"You seem capable of using a Mega Evolution so take this" Andrew answered giving me a Mega Stone.

I was surprised at the fact that I was given something that I wasn't allowed to have in the first place. I thought about what Andrew told me about his father and I for sure will help him in making Mega Evolution for everyone again. We went back to our trek with my goal of looking for strong trainers to battle.

Later still Red's P.O.V

We made it to Pewter City and it was really rocky around here. I noticed that there was the gym but decided not to challenge it since I'm not doing the league. I know that Phoenix is doing gyms despite not entering the league but I've got other plans. As we were exploring the town, I heard a noise at the museum. There were a bunch of people in black clothing running from the museum carrying a bunch of fossils. Andrew and I chased them until we cornered them halfway through the route.

"Who are you?" I questioned.

"We are Team Rocket and I advise you two to leave" The first grunt answered.

"Why don't you just return those fossils" I suggested.

"We'll see about that" Another grunt said grabbing a Pokéball.

The grunts tossed out their Pokémon revealing a bunch of Zubats, Rattatas and Ekans. For an evil team, they have terrible Pokémon. I sent out Charmeleon while Andrew sent out Newcastle and we totally beat them. That was when they sent out their strongest Pokémon which was a Rhyperior. I didn't expect them to have a rare Pokémon on them. This led to Andrew sending out his Lucario and Mega Evolving yet again. After Andrew defeated the Rhyperior, he walked up to the grunts who were still in shock.

"You better not tell anyone about this, or it will get messy" Andrew exclaimed.

The grunts nodded and ran off. We grabbed the fossils and brought them back to the museum. When we returned them, the Gym Leader Brock offered to battle me as a thank you. I accepted and I went to the gym to begin it. He sent out Geodude while I sent out Charmeleon. He may have had the type advantage but I was able to beat him in a few seconds. Charmeleon got defeated after he sent out Onix so I used Lapras and beat him good. After the battle, Andrew and I left Pewter City onto our next stop, Cerulean City.

"So, do you think you'll find any good trainers to battle?" Andrew asked.

"Hopefully, I want to be as strong as I can" I answered.

"Have you ever thought of going to another region?" Andrew suggested.

"No, never came into mind" I replied.

"Well, I heard that Johto is quite nearby, maybe you can go there" Andrew stated.

"Good idea" I said ending the conversation.

After I'm done with Kanto, my next stop will be Johto. Hopefully I will meet up with Ash on the way, I really do miss him.
