I feel like someone's going to ask this so I'm going to direct everyone's attention so we're on the same page : )

"Aren't Pup and Red in or was in a relationship ?"

The answer is a simple: No

Yes Pup and Red were protective of each other but they didn't have a romantic relationship
It was more like a sibling relationship

And yes they did have a kid but remember Red UNWILLINGLY had sex with Pup
So yeah their romantic interest in each other didn't "grow" actually their relationship got worse with now Pup being even being afraid of when RED touches him while before he was cool with it

At this point of the story their relationship is back to that strong sibling kind

Just wanted to make this more clear because my writing might of confused you'll

3rd POV

It was a beautiful day outside
The birds were singing
Flowers were blooming
On days like this.....

Red was trying not to have an aneurysm

Following Blues advice he had confessed to Stretch

That was the easy step

Next was the scariest

Going on a date.....

Luckily Blue had already planned most of the date for them

First a nice meal at Muffet's and then a walk in Waterfall (though Red didn't understand why)

Blue had insisted on making them dress up but Stretch being Stretch, he had just put on a tie over his usual outfit

Leaving the house they headed off to Muffet's

It was obvious that Red was still terrified of Stretch's world even though he'd been living here for a bit over the week

Yet again that week was mostly spent indoors minus the small hiccups

"Relax Red I promise you're gunna have some fun"

"y-yeah 'm just nervous you know"

"I get it but really you have nothing to worry about"

They had finally arrived at Muffet's with them saying hello to the spider and taking a seat

"So do you have a Muffet's in your universe?"
Stretch asked trying to lighten the mood

"u-uh no but we have a Grillby's.......b-but i haven't been there in a while Boss says it's a waste of time and money"

'Why am I not surprised' Stretch thought

Putting his arm around Red he smiled and said
"Well nobody's going to stop you here
not if I can help it"

Red smiled feeling well protected by his lover
"y-yeah thanks"

Silence was exchanged as Res got comfortable with his surroundings
It was nice to finally be able to relax and feel loved by someone

The food came which was 2 burgs and fries
And of course a bottle of honey and mustard by Red's request

During the meal Red finally got the courage to ask Stretch his question

"s-so does that mean i-im your...y-you know"

"Boyfriend ?"

"y-yeah"

"Only if you want to"

"a-and if i-i do ?"

Stretch turned to Red who had a blush spreading all over his face

"Then we are"

On instinct Red warped his arms around Stretch in a hug

Still slightly surprised by Red's gesture he returned the hug

"t-thank y-you"

"For what ?"

"f-for showing me love"

Stretch smiled lightly kissing Red on the top of his skull

"No problem"

After dinner they made their way to Waterfall

Red was star struck at it's beauty saying he's Waterfall was more terrifying than pretty

They hung around admiring the beauty and just there time together

Well until Red fell into a steam

Stretch POV

"Oh man Red are you alright- ?"

"Hehehehehehe y-yeah i'm hehe fine"

'Whoa is he laughing ?'

This is the first time I've heard Red actually laugh

"Heh you have a cute laugh"

He blushed

"t-thank you"

"Well come on let's go dry you off"

We left to Hotland letting the temperature dry Red up

"So is your Hotland any different ?"

He shook his head
"n-not really it's mostly the same w-well minus Muffet controls the ins and outs of the land"

"Really ? well Grillby lives here but he's mostly harmless"

"this place is nicer though"

"Yeah it's a real hot-spot for monsters"

Turning around we saw Alphys running towards us in full speed

"Whoa Alph what's wrong ?"

"Where were you ?!?
You two were supposed to be in Waterfall !"

"Red had gotten wet so we came here so he can dry off what's wrong ?"

"It's Blue he said that's Red Papyrus is here !"

"What ?!?"

"Boss i-is h-here !"

"Yeah Blue and Pup are already-"

"NOT Willingly ! But Blue wanted me to go get you two"

"w-where are they ?"

"Snowdin but don't worry I already alerted the Snowdin guard so they aren't completely alone"

"Alphys Red grab on to me"

They did and I teleported is to Snowdin

Walking to my post we found the guard

One of the guard's men walked over
"Captain Alphys !
The fugitives escaped and took Sans with him"

"What ?!?"
I was ready to scream
"What do you mean ?!"

"Calm down Papyrus-"

"U-Uh one of the fugitives did say that they would trade Sans back for someone called "Red"

Red shrunk back

"Wait fugitives ?
Who else was with him ?"

"Well Captain you said that the fugitive was an edgy looking skeleton monster but there were two so we assumed-"

"YoU aTtacked Pup !"

"Calm down Papyrus this is my fault I should of been more specific"

Red was now shaking
"s-so Pup and Blue are w-with Boss"

"Not if I can help come on we're going to Undyne's lab"
