\\ A FEW WEEKS LATER :D //

// Castiel's POV

"Wait...you what?"

Gabriel made more hand signals and smiled.

"I would've thought you didn't remember that you could...you know, actually talk." Cas smiled.

Gabriel smirked and nodded before making more hand signals.

"Ohh...I see...well don't worry...I'll help! I'll get Dean to help! And it will be all cute and special and stuff!" Cas gushed.

Gabriel smiled widely and hugged him.

"His reaction will be the greatest." Cas reassured him.

"Wait what?! Gabriel can talk?!" Dean gasped. Castiel quickly covered his mouth and looked around.

"Shut your pie hole Dean! I'm helping Gabriel plan a surprise for Sam!" Cas whisper-yelled.

Dean said something into his hand which only resulted in muffled noises.

Castiel slowly moved his hand away and relaxed.

"Questions?" He asked.

"Yes. What surprise?"

Castiel shook his head slowly and glared at him.

"Tsk tsk tsk. Dean you no nothing of romance do you?"

Dean crossed his arms and returned the glare.

"I beg to differ my dear Novak, I know a ton about romance."

Cas scoffed and rolled his eyes at him.

"Right. Well I guess you'll have to show me sometime, huh? Anyway, Gabriel wantes to speak again, after years of silence and he wants his first words to be for Sam."

"Ahh I see..." Dean was quiet for a moment before looking back up at Cas with a worried expression. "Can I ask something?"

"Of course." Cas replied smiling.

"...why did Gabriel decide not to speak in the first place? You don't have to answer if you don't feel comfortable with it."

Castiel's smile faded and he looked away, clenching his jaw.

"It's fine. It's about time you knew anyway." Castiel sighed and took a deep breath before he began to tell a simple story.

Flashback time bitches!

"Castiel! Gabriel! Go hide in the basement." Their mother whispered at them.

"Mom no!" Cas whined, Gabriel holding tightly to his sleeve. He was almost four. Tomorrow was his birthday.

"Castiel listen to your mother." Their father pushed them towards the entrance of the basement.

Gabriel whimpered and started pulling Castiel into the basement.

Castiel took one last glance at his parents.

"We'll be fine." Their mother smiled kindly at them and kissed both their foreheads.

Castiel smiled in return before running into the basement with his younger brother.

"Cassie? Where are mommy and daddy going?" Gabriel asked once they were inside.

"Don't worry Gabby...they're going to be fine."

It was quiet for a while before they heard the front door open and a gunshot fire.

Gabriel screamed and Cas had to cover his mouth and moved them so they were hiding behind a few boxes.

"Shh..." Cas whispered into his ear. Gabriel nodded and whimpered in return.

There was yelling and more gunshots from upstairs. Gabriel kept jumping up in fright every few times.

"CHUCK!" They heard their mother yell after another gunshot was heard.

There were a few more gunshots, then silence.

Then a scream.

From their mother.

Gabriel squirmed around until Cas' hand wasn't covering his mouth anymore.

"MOM!" He yelled and managed to slip free and running up stairs.

"Gabriel stop!" Cas ran after him.

"MOM! DAD!" Gabriel yelled as he ran down the hall, Castielr running after him.

"What the hell?!" One of the three men in the house asked hearing all the yelling Gabriel was doing.

"Just shoot."

Gabriel ran into the front of the house...only to find three men standing over the bodies of his mom and dad, who were brutally murdered.

Gabriel's eyes widened in horror and he screamed. He screamed as loud as he could, tears streaming down his face.

"SHOOT HIM!" One of the men yelled as a few of the neighbor's house lights started coming on.

"GABRIEL!" Castiel yelled and wrapped his arms around him, trying to move them both away. But instead, another gunshot was heard and Cas felt a sharp pain in his side.

There were police and ambulance sirens getting louder in the distance.

Castiel fell to the floor, Gabriel crying and screaming in his arms.

"DAMN IT! LETS GO!" The men gathered a few things before running out of the house.

"MOM! DAD!" Gabriel cried over and over.

The ambulance and police arrived moments later, taking Castiel with them to the hospital, along with Gabriel.

Castiel ended up being okay in the end.

But Gabriel still cried and screamed until his throat was sore, and he still cried. After a while, he lost his voice...sure it came back after a few days but he never spoke.

He chose against it.

He had seen his mother and father lying dead on the floor and had got his brother shot.

It was his fault Castiel almost died.

End of what I realized was a sad flashback

"And that's where I got this..." Castiel sighed and pulled up the side of his shirt to reveal a scar from where he was shot.

"Cas...I'm so sorry..." Dean whispered before pulling Castiel into a hug.

"Hey...it's fine...sure it was a year ago but the thing is, we got better. Especially since we met you guys. And now, after...nine years, Gabriel's decided to speak again. And that's for Sam. You two have helped up so much." Castiel smiled, a few tears running down his face.

Dean pulled away and gave him a quick kiss before wiping away his own tears.

"I swear. I will do something extremely romantic for you." Dean whispered, rubbing his eye.

Castiel laughed and kissed him before laying back on his bed and looking at one of the walls. ((No rude comments of Jessica or Mary))

"Okay let's see...we could...uhh...cook them a nice dinner or something?" Cas asked.

Dean smiled and shook his head.

"They're thirteen. They don't care about nice dinners. We'll take them to a park or something where they can spend sometime together walking around. That's nice."

Castiel nodded an looked back at Dean.

"That sounds nice. We'll do that."

"Dean I don't get it. Where are we going?!" Sam whined in the back seat of the Impala.

"I'm just gonna give you two kids some quality time together by yourselves." Dean insisted.

"Yea right. You two probably just wanna get rid of us so you can be alone and do dirty things." Sam scrunched up him nose.

Castiel choked on the water he was drinking and laughed loudly.

Dean's face flushed red and he tightened his grip on the steering wheel before relaxing.

"Yea well, who knows?" He replied calmly before winking at Cas.

"Ew. You two are gross."

"I know you are but what am I?"

"Bitch, I'm fabulous. Jerk." Sam replied as he flipped his moose hair with his hand.

"Bitch."

"ASSBUTT!"

"What?!"

CANDY

"No candy for you."

damn

"BEEEEES."

"No Cas. No."

Once they all finally calmed down and actually arrived at the park, which was fortunately empty, Cas and Dean pushed the two younger boys off the car and drove away.

"HAVE FUN!" They both yelled from the car.

Sam sighed and waved good bye before turning to Gabriel and smiling.

"So I have no idea what to do here. Any ideas?"

Yea, you. Gabriel though to himself.

Well maybe we can just walk around. I saw a swing set somewhere back there. Gabriel smiled and held up the notebook to Sam's face.

Sam nodded and followed Gabe towards said swing set.

"Gabe. My arms are tired." Sam whined. He had agreed to push Gabriel on the swings for him.

There were a few kids with their parents there but not many. There was this one girl who kept staring at them however. Like that "I ship it" look.

Gabriel jumped up and gave Sam a thumbs up before scribbling someone on a new page of the notebook.

So...I have something to tell you.

Sam looked up at him expectantly.

"Go ahead."

"Sam! Gabriel! Hi!" They heard the cheery voice getting closer to them.

Gabriel tried to get Sam's attention again but it was a bit too late.

"Hi Jessica!"

"Hey, I didn't know you'd be here." She smiled politely at him before taking his hand and sitting with him on the swings.

"Yea uh listen, Gabriel had something to tell me and-- "

"I'm sure it can wait." She smiled.

Gabriel looked down at his feet and sighed.

Then there was an irritated groan of frustration.

Sam, Gabriel, and Jessica all looked towards the girl who had been sitting on one of the benches. She was glaring at Jessica. She slowly stood up and walked up to them.

"Hello. I'm sorry to interrupt. I am every fangirl ever. Nice to meet you." She smiled. "So you. Uh Jessica? Yea that's your name. Okay you need to back the fuck away from moose here cause I have been waiting for shorty to kiss him and tell him he loves him but nooo! You show up and take him away. COCKBLOCK!" She yelled.

Jessica's eyes widened and she looked over at Gabriel.

"I'm sorry 'every fangirl ever' but I'm having a conversation with my friend Sam and besides, Gabriel can't speak, he's mute." Jessica scoffed.

Gabriel clenched his fist before walking up to Sam, putting his hands on the side of his face and crashing their lips together.

"YASSSSSSS!" The girl yelled while Jessica gasped dramatically. ((Ehehe dramatic gasp))

Gabriel slowly pulled away after a while and looked into Sam's eyes.

"Gabriel...?" Sam started but he was cut off by something he never expected.

"I love you, Sam Winchester." Gabriel whispered, smiling at him.

Jessica almost fell off the swing while 'every fangirl ever' spun around in circles mumbling something about something called sabriel.

"G-Gabriel? Y-you can talk?!" Sam's eyes widened.

Gabriel smiled widely and pulled away from him completely.

"I love my moose!" Gabriel yelled as he skipped away.

Sam quickly got off the swings and followed him, leaving Jessica to think of her actions and 'every fangirl ever' fangirling.

Gabriel walked pretty far turning to Sam with wide eyes.

"Does my moose love me?" He asked quietly.

Sam couldn't believe he was actually hearing him speak. It was amazing!

"Of course I love you!" Sam smiled widely and pressed his lips against Gabriel's.

"I told you it would work!" Dean whisper-yelled at Cas before handing the binoculars to him.

"Well I never said it wouldn't." Cas replied.

"Okay...should we tell them we never really left?"

"Nah..."

"Alright?"

"Dean?"

"Yes Cas?" Dean asked looking over at him. Castiel didn't look at him, instead he looked over at some trees.

"I love you."

Dean smiled and kissed his cheek.

"I love you too."
