14. Smut, Seat Stealing, and Favors

// Castiel's POV

Cas roamed the halls during his free period, thinking of Dean.

Something in him was telling him to get over him. He had just met him. He couldn't actually be liking Dean...

He walked outside and sat against a brick wall. He pulled a cigar from the packet and placed it between his teeth, unlit.

He closed his eyes, rolling the cigar between his teeth.

Just get over that guy...

But-

No but's! He's gonna fall madly in love with Lisa and nothing can change that.

But she'll break his heart.

He's not your problem Castiel.

Cas sighed and opened his eyes, looking up at the light blue sky. The white fluffy clouds slowly moving across the sky.

It wasn't as hot as most days. Finally...for some reason, it felt like even though fall was here, summer kept holding on. It was finally getting colder.

He closed his eyes again, leaning his head back against the brick wall. He let the wind flow through his hair, wondering what he should do.

"You come here often?"

Turning his head, Castiel opened his eyes to see Becky...an extreme fangirl. And a bit crazier than Charlie.

"Hey Becky...nah. I'm just here for my free period, that's all. Why are you here? Aren't you usually up in the library using the computers?" Cas asked looking down at his feet.

Becky sighed and pouted, crossing her arms.

"I usually am. And I would be if the librarian didn't ban me from her library because of all the fanfiction I read and write about."

Cas chuckled and shook his head.

"I'm guessing it wasn't regular fanfiction?"

Becky scoffed and laid back in the grass.

"Of course it wasn't regular fanfiction! It was obviously a bit well...uh- intense." She said nervously.

Cas shook his head again and looked up.

"Thought so...what's with you a smut anyways?"

Becky jolted up, her face a bit flushed but determined.

"Smut is life! And yes that sounds weird but oh well! Ask Charlie! She'll give you the same answer! It just lets you see how much they love each other that they can just push each other against the wall and- "

The rest was cut off by the sound of the bell.

Cas quickly stood up and adjusted his jacket.

"See ya Becky. Hope you enjoy reading your smut."

And with that, he headed towards his third class of the day.

// Dean's POV

The bell ran and both Dean and Charlie stood up to walk to their next class.

"See ya at lunch Dean!" She waved before running off. Dean waved in return before going over across the hall to his third period.

Dean walked into the room and sat in his seat.

Moments later, Cas walked in, sitting next to Dean he looked around the room.

A few other students walked in, then Lisa. Alastair walked in after the bell rang. The teacher walked in and began class.

Alastair glared at Dean for a while before whispering something to his friends, causing them to nod and snicker quietly in their seats.

Dean shifter nervously in his seat.

Cas must have noticed because he glared at Alastair and his friends, trying to find out why they were frightening Dean.

"Okay class, please get into groups of three for your next assignment." The teacher instructed, looking through a stack of papers.

Cas grabbed Dean's chair and dragged it over next to him, doing the same with his desk.

"Uh, Cas...?"

"Yes Dean?" Cas answered, not looking at Dean.

"Never mind."

Cas glanced at Dean for a while before moving his gaze over at Lisa, where she was moving her desk towards Dean's.

"Can I work with you boys?"

Dean's face brightened and he nodded.

"Ye- "

"No!" Cas answered loudly.

Lisa looked confused, Dean turned to face Cas, making puppy eyes.

Cas sighed and looked away.

"Not unless you and Dean go get the assignment from the teacher."

Dean smiled widely but kept his face of confusion.

"Shouldn't only one person go?"

Cas rolled his eyes and shrugged.

"I don't know...just...both of you should go."

Lisa shrugged, grabbing Dean's hand and dragging them to the teacher.

Cas quickly jumped out of his seat and sat in Dean's since it was currently the one in the middle.

He sat in his same position and sighed.

Seconds later, Lisa and Dean came back to the area, papers in their hands.

"Castiel?" Dean asked.

"Yes Dean?" Cas replied, not looking at him.

"You're in my seat."

Cas looked down at his desk and gasped.

"I am? Oh dear, what ever am I to do?"

Lisa rolled her eyes, placing her hand on her hips.

"Just move back to your seat."

Cas looked over at her, trying to pull a smile.

"I'm sorry, but it appears my legs have been paralyzed and I can't move." He shrugged.

Lisa looked like she was about to protest but Dean walked over and sat in Cas' seat. Lisa sighed in frustration and sat back in her seat.

Cas smiled to himself and began to work on the assignment. Dean kept glancing over at him the remainder of the class. Well, he kept looking in his direction. Cas wasn't sure if he was just looking at Lisa or actually looking at him.

He was probably looking at Lisa...

Lisa started talking to some guy in the group next to them.

Cas sighed.

"You know if you want to sit next to her, I can move." He said no looking at Dean.

Dean looked up at him, surprised. Cas still wouldn't look at him. What was he doing? This wasn't like Cas, Not really. . . Dean shook his head and went back to his paper.

"Nah. I'm okay, She seems a bit busy talking to that guy over there."

Cas glanced at Dean for a few seconds, a small smile playing at his lips.

"Whatever you say, Winchester."

Dean smiled and readjusted his glasses.

The bell rang minutes later. They turned in their work and walked to their next class.

+++++

The lunch bell rang, causing students to walk out of their fourth period and towards the cafeteria.

Dean wandered around the halls until he reached the cafeteria.

The tables were full.

Dean sighed. Grabbing a lunch, he walked over outside and sat down on some benches.

Instead of eating, he pulled out his book and read.

"Hey Dean." Lisa smiled down at him.

Dean looked up and smiled.

"Hi Lisa."

"So I was wondering." She started as she sat next to him. "How well are you in calculus?" She finished, slowly wrapping her arm around his.

Dean blushed and adjusted his glasses.

"Pretty good..."

Lisa's face brightened and she snuggled into Dean.

"Good! Because I don't understand anything! And I have an assignment- a big assignment due tomorrow...well...could you help?"

Dean looked away for a while, trying to think of an answer.

"Of course he will not." Charlie stated behind them. They both turned around and saw Charlie standing behind them, her hands crossed, and a girl next to her. She had dirty blonde hair, and she looked a bit nervous.

"Charlie. Hi!" Lisa stated behind gritted teeth.

"Hello, Lisa. What exactly are you doing?" She gestured towards her arm tangled with Dean's.

Lisa looked down at their arms and pulled away.

"I was just asking him for help wi- "

"Shut it. Now...please leave. I need to talk to Dean."

Lisa glared at her and crossed her legs.

"No. I was talking to him first."

Charlie scoffed and walked closer to them, the girl following.

"Dean. May I speak with you?" Charlie asked, completely ignoring Lisa. Dean looked up at her and slowly nodded. He looked back at Lisa and smiled.

"I guess I could help you study. . ." He said before standing up and walking next to Charlie.

Charlie smirked at Lisa and walked away with Dean and her friend.

They heard Lisa groan in frustration before she stood up and walked off.

"Dean what were you doing with her?" Charlie asked.

"She was asking me for help on an assignment." Dean replied. Charlie shook her head slowly, uncrossing her arms.

"Dean, Dean, Dean. If only you knew her." She sighed. The girl next to her also shook her head, placing her hands behind her back and whispered something in to Charlie.

"You're right, Becky. . .she is interfering with the ship. And we can't have that."
