Eli couldn't believe what had just happened luckily he'd done this before so he got down to business though it was a bit hard with all the girls screaming he shift his weight to the left and looked down for aim he raised out his hand looking to grab something sticking out of the house and down below he saw a balcony but knew he couldn't aim onto it that it was to late so he aimed near it and raised his hand further and when it came he grabbed as tight as he could on to the edge of it making the fall come to a jerky and uncomfortable stop and even with his biker gloves on pain shot up Eli's arm and a small cry of pain escaped his lips.the stopping was so jerky the girl almost fell out of his grip. Eli pulled her up and saw she was crying which didn't surprise him of course she was crying death had been seconds away but they were still pretty high up"hey listen calm down ok your gonna be alright." her response was holding on tighter and while he worked out what do next she calmed herself down as much as she could "what are we going to do?" she asked while trying to stop crying "Well we have two options" he said looking down towards the ground and working out the kinks in both plans "either we can fall from balcony to balcony and hope that there's one on at least the second floor or, you could try climbing up on this balcony then pulling me up" he looked down at her and asked "which do you want to do?" she thought about and decided "I'll climb up then pull you up" Eli sighed he believed the other idea would've been more fun "Ok then it takes a lot of balance and focus start to climb up" Eli did his best to hold on with one hand and help push her up with the other hand until she was on his shoulders he raised his other hand to also grab the balcony at the movement she grabbed his hair tight "Ow!" he cried sarcastically "sorry" she said in a small shaky voice "come on keep climbing you can do it" he tried to encourage she moved her hands from his hair to the balcony next to his "what now?" she asked Eli thought for a second then answered "step on my shoulders then move yourself onto the balcony" she looked down at him and shook her head "no if i step on your shoulders it could risk you falling as well I'm not doing it" Eli sighed he didn't believe this was a time to stubborn "Just do it!i'll be fine ok " she shook her head no and started to move off his shoulders "WHAT ARE YOU DOING!" he shouted he watched in horror as she jumped off and slid in between him and the edge of the balcony and then raised herself up and over the it and look down at him she grabbed his hand and help pull him up and over the edge Eli looked back and forth from her and the balcony she was shaking in fear and he could still see signs of crying on her face "alright" he sighed "let's get inside" but when he went to open the door it was locked and when she looked over and noticed it wasn't opening she dropped down and exclaimed "Are you Kidding me!"Eli growled in anger "calm down I think i can get it open" he reassured her. Eli pulled out a small thin knife and the girl grew curious when he did so and he prayed that this worked he placed the knife at an angle and turned the knob at the same time and pushing in with the knife when he heard a click sound from the door he smiled and opened it up and stepped through into what looked like a ball room and Eli wondered why in the world they would need a ball room but when he looked over at the girl she looked very much amazed and full of happiness "Oh it's so beautiful" she gushed Eli rolled his eyes in humor "What?" she asked him he shrugged and replied "I just don't see a point in a ball room especially one so big!" the girl laughed and then looked concerned "We should get back" and the moment she said it Eli remembered what he was doing in the first place,running away, but now he didn't really fell like running or trying to so he just said "Ok" and walked out and as they were looking for there way back he asked "What's your name anyway?" she looked up at him with a confused look "didn't I announce it at the table" Eli gave mischievous smile "No offense but i kinda zoned out and didn't catch it oops" he said with a shrug the girl put on a fake offense look on her face and punched him playfully on the arm he gave a light laugh "Well maybe i didn't catch your name" she giggled "trust me" he said darkly "Everyone caught my name" the memory came back and made him angry it made him want to run again as realization hit here she didn't look happy anymore but guilty and a bit sad "Sorry Eli" she said quietly "It's fine but once again still don't know your name" she nodded her head "ok well my name's Valerie Stone and i enjoy dancing" she said proudly "well that explains why you enjoyed the ballroom" she smiled and he heard a faint "yeah it does" the rest of the time the walked in silence unless to point out something cool to the other until the found they're way back "THANK GOODNESS THEY'RE BACK!" cried jack "we were starving!" Valerie laughed at him and Eli just shook his head and smiled and took his seat "What took you so long Digory" Leo called across the table Eli wanted to punch him for calling him that but figured he'd drawn enough attention for probably the rest of his time here "we got lost" was all he said of it "so what happened while we were gone?" Valerie asked Eli noticed Leo smirk and glance towards Willcurd "OH I CAN TELL YOU ALL ABOUT THAT!!!!!" Betty yelled and Eli thought to himself This ought be good and while jack complained how he wanted to eat and tell the story later and Betty told him to shut up Eli tried to relax and accept the fact that he was deciding to stay.
