-Skylar- (Age 14, 9th Grade)

Skylar loved his science class because it was the only class he could get away with catching something on fire when he got distracted by how cute some of the guys in that class were. And he caught things on fire often. The teacher, Mr. Roberts just didn't care. As long as no one got hurt, it was fine.

Unfortunately, today, there was a substitute and he would have to be extra careful not to get distracted. He doubted that his 'it was for science' excuse would work.

The sub was a lady with graying hair and wire glasses. She looked like a cliche evil librarian.

"I," She introduced in a 'I'm-not-taking-any-shit' voice, "Am Ms. Nanase, and I will be teaching you today."

"Oh great, a stiff." Skylar's friend, Zach, leaned over and whispered. Skylar gave him a side glance and smile. The blonde beamed back.

"The instructions your teacher left say you have a worksheet to do." Ms. Nanase said, picking up a stack of papers. She put them on Austin's, a boy who had been held back a year, desk. "Pass these out."

Austin stood and started walking around the class, handing out the papers. Ms. Nanase went to Mr. Roberts' desk and sat down, glaring at the class.

"No talking, and no helping each other." She said. Zach frowned at her and gave Skylar a 'can-you-believe-this-bitch?' look. Skylar hummed neutrally. Austin walked up to Skylar's desk, holding out a worksheet. Skylar reached for it, and, with a wicked smirk, Austin dropped what was left of the papers. They flew everywhere.

"SKYLAR!" Austin shouted in fake shock, while Skylar and Zach looked on with quite real shock. "Why would you knock those out of my hands?!"

Skylar turned to the sub, mouth open to protest, but she was glaring harshly at him.

"Detention." She snapped. Austin leered at him. "And pick those up!"

"Skylar didn't do it, Mrs--" Zach shut up at the fierce glare Ms. Nanase gave him and looked at Skylar helplessly. Skylar stood up and glared at Austin. He bent down to pick up some papers, grumbling.

"Stupid bully, wait until my dads hear about this..."
