Tour

Half Moon

  3 days after last chapter

I talked to the Elders about the bots coming to the realm, and they said they would be happy to.

Optimus liked the idea of visiting my home, so it was a win-win.

I decide to take them when we were celebrating Renew, a ceremony where the realm was renewed, as the name suggests.

The ceremony happens only once every few millenia, so it is a pretty big deal each time it comes around.

Arcee was in a pretty good mood all day, excited to see my home after all the stories I had told her.

The kids were kind of excited, too.

I had to give Miko about no pictures in the realm.

  "Why?"

"Because even one picture could end up in the wrong hands, and all my people on this planet will be hunted down."

After that Miko promised no pictures.

"How are we gonna get there?" Miko asks, putting her phone in her back pocket.

"Portal.  It's faster and attracts less attention to a late Alpha." I respond, putting my hair up.

  She nods.

"You're late to the most important celebration to your people?" Ratchet questions, one hand on the main console.

I shake my head. "Renew is actually in three days. But the Elders want me there today.  So I want to leave soon to have enough time to give you guys a tour."

He nods, and I fold my almost-fully healed wings into my shoulder blades.

Only a day till I could fly. According to Ratchet.

"I see no reason why we can't leave now." Optimus said.

I nod. "True. Got your jackets?" I ask the kids, and they nod, putting them on.

It was a little chilly over there for them.

"Before we go, I have to warn you.  There's going to be a crowd basically everywhere you go, so stay close to one another.  And if you get lost, use this." I say, tossing each a tracking globe.  "Just throw it on the ground, and it'll send me your location."

I didn't need to tell them that there would be staring from my people.

No one Moon Angel beside me had ever seen a Cybertronian before.

They wouldn't really stare at the kids that much. They were used to the occasional wingless angel or demon.

I roll up my sleeves and make a portal, Ratchet deciding to stay at base to monitor decepticon activity.

We step through, a good friend of mine waiting.  She was more like a sister to me, though.

Her name was Galaxy, and she was the mother of Anti, a kid who I absolutely adore.

He calls me his aunt, and that melts my heart every time he says it.

She was wearing her usual grey T-shirt with leather jacket, denim jeans, sneakers, her black hair up in a ponytail, and her grey eyes excited.

She pulls me into a hug, and I return it.

She look up at the bots, her neck craned up.

  "You weren't kidding." She chuckled.

I shake my head, replying with "I know I wasn't."

She chuckles, jokingly punching my arm.

Optimus, Miko and Bulkhead go with her, taking them to the main square and then to the stables.

I would be taking Smokescreen, Bee, Arcee, Jack and Raf to the stables and then the square after.

We walk down the streets, the kids saying bye and Galaxy giving me one more punch for good luck.

I mess up her hair, and she huffs, fixing it while walking.

We walk away in our groups, walking down the hill to the stables.

The streets were filled with angels, and when the bots came around, they stared.

They didn't seem to mind it, though.

We walked down the blue jade brick streets, lanterns of soft yellow lights hanging from strings.

"Why are these lanterns scattered randomly?" Raf asks, looking up.

"You'll see when we get to the dragon pens."

  Jack was shivering a little.

I take off my sweatshirt, giving it to him.

He nods a thanks, and we keep walking down the paths, houses of purple jade or black wood on either side.

I was glad that the streets were wide enough for them.

A loud screech was heard in the distance.

"What was that?" Arcee asked, siezing up.

I listen to the screech again.  "Bee, duck."

He crouches down fast, a large black eagle just missing his head.

I hold my forearm out, and the eagle gently lands, a small piece of paper in it's beak.

I maneuver the eagle to my shoulder and read the note.

Got to the city square. ~ Galaxy

I gently stroke the eagle's head, and they fly off again.

  "What was that?" Raf asked.

"Messanger eagle." I respond, turning a corner.

"Why not owls?" Raf asked, curiosity filling his eyes.

"Owls are easier to intercept. Eagles are faster and larger, making them a little harder to take down."  I respond, and he nods.

We get to the gargantuan barn, painted black with roars and purrs coming from inside.

"Welcome to the dragon pens!" I gesture, just about to open the large door with just a swipe of my fingers.

I hear a commotion a few feet away.

  I pause, listening.

  "Are you okay?" Arcee asks.

  I nod. "I hear something."

  I heard a scream. A little girl's scream.

"Raf, Jack, stay with Nightshade. Bee, Arcee, Smokescreen, follow me. No guns." I start running, and I hear thier feet behind me.

I wish I could fly now. I could get a better viewpoint.

I hear a commotion a few feet away.

I keep the ball of my wrist on the hilt of my dagger.

I get to a place where the crowd was clumped together, all in shock.

I nudge through the crowd, splitting my people to let the bots through.

A little wingless angel. About 10.

She had a bruise formed on her temple, a claw mark on her collarbone.

I gently pick her up.  She was still alive. She was just knocked out.

"Who did this?" I demand, feeling anger in me rise.

Several of the crowd were holding a man by his arms, and they dragged him towards me, blocking off his exit.

I hand the girl to a female, my expression softening.

"Bring her to the hospital. Get any guard that you pass." I ask, and she nods, taking the girl in her arms and flying towards the hospital.

  I turn towards the man.

"Why?  Why do that to a child?" I snarl, my claws growing.

The male angel paled.  "She... She um...  Stepped on my foot?"

  Liar.

I felt anger in me rise again. I felt my fangs grow.

The two angels holding him let go, and he stood in front of me, a head taller.

  I wasn't intimidated.

Anyone who struck a child like that was a coward.

I was not afraid of cowards.

He took his claw and attempted to scratch my stomach, but I grab his wrist and twist it backwards, kicking the back of his knee.

He fell to one knee, and I put his other hand behind his back.

"Wanna try anything else?" I snarl at him.

One crowd member yells in anger, ready to strike the male.

I separate them, and the crowd member backs off.

Two guards land beside me, cuffing the male and teleporting away.

I sigh, my fangs shrinking.

I walk away, the rest of the clump fizzling away.

"I'm sorry you had to see that." I say, looking at the ground.

"Remind me to never get on your bad side." Smokescreen said.

I shiver. I sensed he was scared of me.

I don't want to be feared.

The angel who was about to punch the male in the face comes up to me, his eyes on the ground.

  "I apologize for my actions."

I nod. "Don't be." I respond, smirking at him.

He smirks back. "I hope you become the next Mother Moon."  And with that, he walked away into the crowd, chasing a few children.

  I felt my face pale.

I wouldn't last a second with being Mother Moon.

"Mother Moon?  What's that?" Arcee asked.

We start walking back to the stables, and I explain on the way.

"She created the universe. The Moon Realm is the first thing she created.  Then she moved onto galaxies and planets, filling them with life."

"What happens if you become her?"

"I would rule over everything in the cosmos. I would have to keep all the stars in place, constantly keeping the planets spinning, all of that."

"It seems like a lot." Bee says.

  I nod. "It really is."

We get back to the stables, Raf and Jack talking to one of the volunteers.

The volunteer sees me, and he smiles, walking into the barn.

"Wanna go see some dragons now?" I ask.

  They all nod.

I lead them through the doors, and a couple dragons tilted thier heads at the metal, looking down from the high rafters.

Some jump down, curiously sniffing them.

They even smell the kids, gently nuzzling them when they got pet.

A volunteer steps next to a black dragon's paw.

"Wanna go for a fly?" He asks the bots.

He doesn't wait for an answer.

He calls for adults, and one stays where they were, but two came down from the rafters, heads tilted in curiosity.

A large navy blue winter dragon chooses Arcee, a crest behind her head looking like ice crystals.

An average sized blade wing chose Bee, it's wings made of metal, it's whole body covered in heavily protected scales.

A small Buzzer chooses Smokescreen, his throat buzzing happily.  He was his height, his scales colored deep green.

We take them outside, and I show the bots how to ride them properly.

Raf and Jack stay on Nightshade.

I go on the ice dragon, sitting on her neck.

The trainer whistled, and the dragons took off.

We slowly climbed into the sky, waving to any angels that were flying by.

They looked down the whole time, watching as the scattered lanterns formed constelations.

Raf was excitedly shouting out the constelation names as he saw them, his glasses reflecting the light in his eyes.

When we landed, everyone seemed happy.

Except Nightshade. He seemed a little upset that I chose a dragon over him.

After I helped the kids off, I got on his back to keep him pacified.

I heard another messanger eagle coming close.

It lands on my forearm, and I take the message from it's beak, letting it rest for a moment.

We need you at the palace. The others were already sent home. ~ Dad

  I sigh.

"I have to go. I'll send you guys back to base." I say, and everyone seemed a little bummed.

I let the eagle rest a little while longer, and then it flies off on it's own, ready to get another letter.

I make a portal and they all go home, and Nightshade goes to the palace where the Elders were waiting.
