Tour
Half Moon
3 days after last chapter
I pulled some strings with the elders, and they said they would be happy to allow the autobots into our realm.
Optimus also liked the idea. He told me we could go whenever the elders were ready to admit them.
I decided to take them when we were celebrating Renew, a ceremony where our realm gets renewed, as the name suggests. This happens once every couple millenia, so it is a pretty big deal.
Arcee was in a pretty happy mood all day, because she had been waiting patiently for three days.
"How are we gonna get there?" Miko asks, staring at my almost-fully-healed wings. Ratchet said only a few days left until I could fly.
"We'll take a portal. Its faster and less attention being attracted to a late alpha." I say, putting my hair up in a hair tie.
"You're late? To the most important celebration to your people?" Ratchet asks, eyebrow raised.
"Not really. The elders want me to be there two days early. Which is today. And I am supposed to be there in half an hour. But I want to leave now so we have enough time to take a tour." I say, twisting the feather in my pocket in my fingers.
"Well, I see no reason why we can't leave now." Optimus says, a very small smirk on the side of his face.
"Alright. Got your jackets?" I ask the kids, knowing it's a little cold over there for them.
They all nod, putting on thier sweatshirts.
"Before we go, I have to warn you. There's going to be a crowd, so please, stay close to one another. And if you get lost, use this. Throw it on the ground as hard as you can, and it will send me your location." I say, handing them a tracking globe to the kids and the bots.
They all nod.
"And my people have never seen a Cybertronian before, so expect a lot of questions and or staring." I say, rolling up my sleeves to get ready to make the portal.
I make the spell, and at the end of it, a large, blue portal is in the middle of the room.
Ratchet wanted to stay and come at a different time. He wanted to monitor any decepticon activity while we were gone.
I went through first, and a crowd of my people were at the base of the hill, waiting my arrival.
I raised my hand, and all went silent. "My guests are very different from what we are all used to. But I will ask from you to treat them with respect, just as you do with me." I shout, and the crowd cheers, an array of fists and screams piercing the air.
I stepped back through, and told everyone it was okay to come. "Be warned, they are a little excited." I smile, and they follow me back through.
An array of cheers comes through. I raise my hand, and once again, the crowd goes silent.
"Let the celebration begin!" I hop on Nightshade, and he flies overhead. I sending stars raining down on the crowd, hearing the cheers get even louder.
I land back down on the hill, hop off Nightshade, and the whole crowd disperses, except the tour guide I had selected.
They landed up on the hill, and they gave me a hug at the same time, thanking me for choosing them.
"You're welcome." I smile, hugging them back.
We seperate them into groups, Arcee, Jack, Bumblebee, Raph and Smokescreen are with me, Optimus Bulkhead, and Miko are with another tourguide, and we all say our goodbyes before we leave.
"Miko, no pictures!" I yell, just as I am walking down the hill.
"Ok!" She screams, shoving her phone in her pocket.
I smile.
"So, where to?" Smokescreen asks, scanning the blue jade buildings lining the outskirts of the city.
"Ill leave it up to Arcee. The stables, or the city square."
"The stables sound interesting." She says, staring at the deep blue sky.
"Are you alright?" I ask Jack, who's shivering slightly.
He nods. "I should have brought a thicker coat."
I unzip my sweatshirt and hand it to him, revealing the gray T-shirt underneath.
He takes it and thanks me as he puts it on.
Nightshade nuzzles into me. He wants me to ride him. I swing my leg up, and pull my hairtie back harder.
A sea of angels go by, scrambling to hang up the proper lights in the proper order.
Some children are running with star ribbons behind them, trailing stardust as they went.
Some stop, staring or asking questions at Arcee, Smokescreen, or Bee. They ignore Raph and Jack, used to the occasional wingless angel.
None of them are really bothered by the extra attention, though.
When we reached the door to the stables, we heard screaming.
"ALPHA!! ALPHA MOON!!!" An angel cried out, bursting from the crowd.
I jump off Nightshade, running to them.
"Whats wrong?" I ask, my heart racing.
They pant, out of breath. Thier grey wings are covered in powder, most likely pranked by the excited children. "Someone.... just.... knocked a little girl out..."
"Arcee, Bee, Smokescreen, I need backup. Raph and Jack, get on Nightshade." I say, taking my daggers out of my belt and running to the crowd of angels.
They disperse when I get there, and a little wingless angel, about the age of 9 years, was on the pavement, a bruise forming on her temple.
I lift her head up, revealing scratches on her neck. Her father stands there, horrified. But it's fake. He did this on purpose.
I hand her to a nearby angel and tell them to bring her to the hospital and get any guards that she passes. She nods and flies off, not stopping for anything.
Her father stands there, fake horror plastered on his face.
"Why?" I growl, feeling my fangs grow. "Why do that to a child?"
"She... She scared me... She stomped on my foot." Liar.
"I will ask you again... Why?" I feel my face get hot, hearing Arcee, Bee, and Smokescreen take thier guns out.
He made a spell and attempted to launch it at Raph and Jack, but I caught it.
"A paralyzing spell?" I crush it underneath my foot.
He lunges at me, claws out. But he gets apprehended by the crowd.
"You do realize you're outnumbered, right? And attacking an alpha is a serious offense. I will personally make sure that you are locked up." I straighten up, and make my feathers puff up.
He spits at me. I back away, but an angel attempts to punch him in the nose.
"How dare you disrespect her!" He shouts, but I catch his wrist before it comes in contact with the fathers face.
I release his wrist soon after, knowing he was just only trying to protect my pride.
Three of my guards land beside me, and grab the father by the arms.
"Take him away, please. Make sure he gets a motive diagnostic. Search through everything." I ask as the guards refuse to let the father out of thier grip.
My guards nod, like its thier number one priority.
"You will pay for this, 'alpha'." The father mocks me as he's being dragged away.
Everyone lingers, whispering about the event they had just witnessed.
"I'm sorry you had to see that." I say, feeling my fangs shrink, returning to normal teeth.
"Remind me to never get on your bad side." Smokescreen says, but I think I legitimately scared him. I don't want people to be scared of me.
I slip my daggers into my belt, glad I didn't have to use them.
The angel that tried to punch the father in the face smiles.
"I am sorry I did that. You are too great an alpha to be disrespected like that." He says, apologetic fear in his eyes.
I place my hand on his shoulder. "Its alright. You were just trying to protect me. I am not mad."
He smiles. "I hope you become the next Mother Moon." He walks away, playing with the children running past.
"Mother Moon?" Smokescreen asks, puzzled.
"It means I would come complete ruler over the cosmos. No one would be above me. I would govern this realm, along with the stars and planets, making sure they are safe." I reply, walking back to Nightshade and stroking his muzzle.
"So, you would become a Prime." Arcee says, summing it up.
I nod. "But a much bigger scale in responsibility."
Jack and Raph are on Nightshade, waiting patiently.
"Since you're up there..." I say, wanting to create suspense.
"What are you up to?" Arcce asks, arms crossed.
"Nothing. But are any of you afraid of heights?"
They all shake thier head no. Except for Raph.
"Follow me."
I open the gargantuan chipped and faded black painted door that led to the dragon pens.
A navy blue dragon hops down from one of the rafters, taking an interest in Arcee. The dragon was about two times the size of Arcee, but she was very gentle.
A few other dragons come down, curious of the shiny metal.
Bee pets one of the larger babies, which was about the size of Optimus, and Smokescreen stares in awe.
He points to the smallest baby, which is his exact height.
"Is this one full grown?" He asks, stroking it's head awkwardly.
"Nope. That one hatched last month." I say, loving the expression on his face.
I whistle for some adults, and the navy blue one stays near Arcee, a yellow one goes to Bee, and a rare scarab-scaled dragon hops down in front of Smokescreen, its scales shimmering from green to purple to blue.
We take them out of thier stables, and I do a quick 101 of dragon riding.
I show Jack and Raph how to hang onto Nightshade, and I also make sure Nightshade goes slow for Raph.
I climb onto the scarab-scale, watching Smokescreen get on awkwardly. But he finds his correct position in no time.
I sit up on its head, asking him to go easy.
We take off, soaring above everything.
Smokescreen looks down, awed by the lights and dazzling crystal fountains at every street square, and by the intricate hanging lights, forming constellations.
Everyone is awed. They didn't stop looking down until we landed.
When we landed, everyone was happy. Raph was a little shaken up, but he told me it was fun for him.
Jack gave me back my sweatshirt, and I returned the dragons to thier kennels for feeding.
I check the time.
"Guys, I have to be leaving soon. Im gonna send you back now, and I'll call the other tour guide to get Optimus, Bulkhead, and Miko back at base." I say, realizing I had to be with the elders in about 10 minutes.
They all nod, thanking me for letting them come.
"Definitely want to come back here again." Arcee and Smokescreen say simultaneously. Bee nods vigorously.
"You can always come to Renew if you would like." I say as I send them through a portal and call the tourguide.
She sends them back, and I was on my way to the palace to meet with the elders.
I am happy they got to see my home. I just hope they'll have enough time to come to Renew.
