Anti and Moon were out for at least an hour before they woke up.
S, sitting in the corner noticed that the two were awake, slowly getting up.
He didn't want to jostle the sleeping little one too much.
Anti slowly climbed down off the bed, not wanting to accidentally hurt his mother.
Moon woke up, her eyes catching on the violet blanet.
S held out the baby, adjusting his Mate's arms.
She knew how to hold the little one, but she was still a little weak.
She peeked inside the bundle, instantly in love with the child.
S set up a live 3-D hologram, knowing that his Mate would not be able to travel for quite some time. And the bots would like to be informed on her condition.
He sent the link to Ratchet, who answered rather quickly. Instantly, actually.
Moon held her baby with pride. She was very happy that she was alive, after all that had happened.
Everyone saw the little bundle in her arms, excited that they were both alive.
"Hey, guys. Meet Star Fire." Moon said, slowly uncovering the new-born's face.
Nightshade flapped his wings giddily, wanting to cuddle with the newborn.
Bee and Smokescreen nearly fall over with an overload of cuteness.
Ratchet was happy the child was healthy.
Arcee really wanted to hold her. She wanted to hold the little one all day, hogging Star to herself.
Bulkhead wanted to teach the little one how to lob with him and Jackie. When she was older, of course.
The humans were watching intently, happy that they had a new member on the team.
Optimus was curious about something.
How could one so small contain so much cuteness?
Anti beamed.
He was glad to have a baby sister.
He could only imagine how many pranks they would pull together.
His feathers twitched in anticipation. He was already planning one.
"I might not be home for a while." Moon said, her arms cradling the baby softly.
"We understand. Take all the time you need." Optimus said, some of the red on his helmet receding.
He had gained some of his memory back over the first few hours he was home.
Moon saw the red on his helmet.
She knew she needed to restore his memory.
And she knew how. She just needed to gather strength before she could.
1Week later
The doctors had finally cleared her and the baby, the whole realm buzzing with the news of the Alpha's new child.
S was helping her out of bed, Anti sitting on a chair, holding his sister.
Moon stood fine, but wobbled a little when she walked.
Thanks to her Mate next to her, she found the center of her balance quickly.
Anti got up slowly, not wanting to scare his sister by getting up too quick.
They all walked to the nurse's station where they thanked all the doctors for all they've done.
They walked out, Anti holding the baby with pride and care.
He would protect her. He would be the best big brother ever.
Little Star gurgled happily, just falling into a dream.
Anti smiled. He would stay by her, making sure she knew he loved her with all his heart.
He put his left wing over her as a second blanket.
S opened a portal, making sure Anti was holding the baby correctly.
He needed to calm down. He wouldn't let anything happen to his sister.
Moon was happy with how those two were so attatched already.
S imagined Star's first date.
He imagined Anti standing in the corner, watching in the shadows with a close eye on his sister.
He smiled.
Then he imagined her first dance. He winced.
He didn't want his little girl to grow up just yet.
They walked through, greeted with very familiar faces.
S let Moon stand on her own, which she did just fine.
Bee came over, instantly kneeling to see the baby.
Nightshade ran to Moon, sniffing her hair.
She pet him, her forehead against his soft nose.
She vowed to never ignore him again.
Anti showed Bee Star, and he beeped and whirred happily.
Arcee came over, also kneeling.
She instantly fell in love.
Smokescreen could see her in the driver's seat, going 150, easy.
Bulk could see her as a wrecker, just like how Moon could have been one on Cybertron.
Optimus saw her, still wondering how she was so cute.
She had the potential to be a great leader. Just like her mother was.
Ratchet saw the baby and smiled.
He knew she would be well taken care of.
Everyone agreed on this, even though no one needed to say it.
The kids weren't here yet. They were still in school.
"Optimus." Moon says, pulling him to the side.
He follows, the others busy passing the baby around.
He kneels. "Are you alright?"
She crosses her arms. "I was just about to ask you that." She glances at his helmet. "Still have a fuzzy memory, huh?" She asks.
Optimus nods. He knew he was Optimus, and he knew about the base. That was pretty much it.
She nods in response.
"I'm warning you right now. This may sting."
"What are you going to do?" He asks, a little afraid.
"I'm going to restore your memory. Ready?" She asks, the glow in her chest rising.
Optimus nods.
S hears their conversation, going over to them.
"Moon, I don't think you're ready for this." He says, hand on her shoulder.
She sighs. "I have to be."
Moon had realized she promised the Empress something.
When both my children are safe and at home, maybe.
Is that a threat?
No. It's a promise.
She had promised the Empress a Duel.
Her children were safe and at home.
If she broke this promise, everything she worked so hard for will be shattered to nothing.
She had to restore his memory first.
She might not have the chance to do it later.
After this, she had to get ready for the fight of the cosmos.
And she didn't know if she would win.
