Hologram
S
I saw the gold eyes after she screamed, holding her head.
I saw the sun mark burned into her forehead.
This wasn't good. I had to act fast.
I rip the blanket off her, cutting my pant leg and possibly my ankle on her blade stuck in my floor.
I didnt care.
I had to get her to the hospital.
I scooped her up, ignoring the fiasco a few moments earlier.
I ran out my door, going as fast as my legs would allow.
I had to keep her face hidden. I can't cause wide-spread panic.
And since this is such a large part of the realm, everyone would be scared.
And no one needs to be that afraid. Not again.
Nightshade was trotting back to my house, and I stopped.
He would make the trip much faster.
I put her on face down and climb on.
After we start going, I notice the red creeping down from the sun mark on her forehead like dripping blood.
She doesn't have much time.
"Come on, boy." I say, and he seems to get the message.
He charges faster, almost ready to take off.
But we are too close to the hospital for that.
He slows and finally stops, and I practically jump off his back, carrying her again before exploding through the doors.
Several doctors are leaning on a gurney, most with smiles on their faces.
But as soon as they see her in my arms, their smiles fade.
I lay her on the gurney and they speed off.
The Autobots would want to know what us happening with her.
It would also make me feel better to keep them in the loop.
I decide to send them a hologram. It would just make it easier for them and me.
I decided to make it live, so I could answer any questions immediately.
I create a small camera out of thin air, about the size of a marble.
I go to some chairs up against the wall. I had a feeling this would take a while.
I sit down, surprised with how comfortable they were.
But I was already nervous for her, which somehow made it uncomfortable.
I suspend the camera in the air, just in front of my face.
This is not going to sit well.
I start tapping my foot faster and faster than I ever done before.
I really was nervous about this.
How was I going to tell them?
I send them the link before I can change my mind.
I create walls around me, making sure no one sees or hears the conversation I was about to have.
The light blinks.
They were recieving it.
I straighten up, at least trying to look professional.
I hoped Optimus or Bulkhead was there. I would even be happy with Miko.
I tap a button, and I saw a red and white mech's face being projected over the camera.
He looks at me with a scowl. "Who are you?"
I take a breath. "My name is S. I am a friend of Moon's. May I speak to Optimus, please?"
I say, hoping my manners were enough to sway him.
He notices my worry. "One moment."
He gets Optimus, and I start shaking.
This was harder than I had thought.
"Is everything alright?" He asks, his expression softened.
I shake my head. "I am at the hospital. Moon has come down with...." I sigh. I couldn't say it.
"She... She's very sick. And the disease she has is very deadly to moon angels."
Optimus looks a little shocked.
I see Miko peeking from the corner, spying.
I shake my head, putting it in my palms.
"I have to wait and see what is going on, but she might have to stay with you until she gets better."
He nods. "Understood."
Miko looks confused.
"Ill send you every bit of information on her condition that I can. Ill even bring her over. And her medicine."
Optimus nods again. "Thank you for informing me about her health. It is appreciated."
I nod. "You're welcome, Optimus."
A doctor calls my name.
"I have to go. I might get to see her soon. Goodbye, Optimus."
He nods, and I cut off the feed, making the walls around me collapse.
A doctor is next to me, clipboard and leather pouch in hand.
"How is she doing?" I ask, my hands shaking.
His blue eyes scan my shoes and the floor. He even blows his short black hair out of his face.
Whatever it was, it wasn't good.
"She keeps rambling names. The most repeated ones are you and the child Anti."
"Can I see her?"
He shakes his head. "When she is stable, yes. But that is not now. She needs rest and medicine."
I nod. It would have been too painful to see her that sickly anyway.
He hands me the leather pouch and clipboard.
"You didn't get that from me." He whispers, his eyes shifting across the floor.
I quickly open the small pouch and I look inside.
I sqeeze the doctor tight, and he hugs me back.
"Thank you." I say, sitting back down.
"Better get out of here. It'll be a few days till she's ready for any visitors." He says, giving me the hint to leave.
I nod, going back through the doors.
Nightshade is pacing, head down.
He trots to me, sniffing for her scent.
"I'm sorry, boy. She's going to be here for a few days."
He hangs his head, wings drooping.
"Want to go back to the Autobots while you wait?" I ask, hoping it would make him feel better.
His ears perk up, glancing at me.
I open a portal to the base, and he sadly walks through with the clipboard balanced on his back.
I had to keep the pouch. They weren't ready to see what she looks like.
I go back to my house, feeling my shoulderblades ache.
They wanted to come out again.
But I couldn't let them.
I was out in public.
I teleported back to my house, and I realized that I could have just done that instead of running there.
It could have been so much faster.
I sit on my couch, realizing that I was in too much of a panic to do anything rational.
I look at my pantleg, realizing that it was a small cut.
It didnt break the skin, but it was a very clean cut.
Too clean.
Not a single fiber hung out of place.
I look at the blade sticking up in the marble.
I bend down, pulling it out.
The blade was at least a half inch in.
How was that possible? This was marble.
There were no runes on it. No enchantments.
How did she create the sharpest blades in the Realm?
