Yunho sighed as he finally was done with his job for the day. Looking at the time, Yunho pouted when he saw it was very late, close to midnight already and he is still at the tea house. His stomach rumbled and he pouted even more. The last time he ate was when Mingi bought him the subway sandwich and he didn't have time to eat anymore after that. Yunho huffed out and walked out of the tea house, too exhausted to teleport himself back home and opted to just walk there.

Halfway back home, Yunho suddenly was pushed back into a dark alleyway with something that definitely was not something that a human was capable of doing so as he yelped in surprise and hissed when his back and head collided with the concrete walls. Blinking the pain away as he rubbed the back of his head, Yunho frowned and looked around cautiously. "What the fuck..?" Yunho whispered to himself before he saw a pair of red eyes staring back at him in the dark, making him narrowed his eyes at whatever it was.

I'm too tired to deal with this Yunho huffed before hissing at the figure with red eyes. "Show yourself. What do you want from me?" The figure laughed menacingly, walking closer towards Yunho slowly as he showed himself and Yunho frowned when he saw the figure, thinking that it somewhat felt familiar to him before his head suddenly throbbed, making him winced and pressing a palm to his temple.

Do you remember me now, pup?

Yunho heard from inside his head and it made his head ache furthermore, making him doubled over and fell to the floor on his knees, grabbing his head while at it. The figure stepped even closer to Yunho as he smiled deviously before tipping Yunho's chin up so the grim reaper could look at him as he smirked. "Hm.. Though you're a grim reaper now, I could still break you until you give up to even want to be one anymore. Then I could take your body to be mine." Yunho frowned as he didn't understand a word from the figure before pushing his hand away from his chin.

Yunho instantly knew that the figure was an evil spirit when he could concentrate again, hissing at the spirit as he shakily stood up. "What do you mean by that?" Yunho asked the spirit. "Tsk tsk.. You still don't remember me, I see. This is disappointing.. I thought once you've met your Mingi you would remember everything.. Do you want me to help you remember, pup?" The spirit asked while smirking, making Yunho feel like bringing the spirit to God himself and he did just that, grabbing the spirit firmly but what he didn't expect was for the evil spirit to be very strong that he could easily break away from him.

"Do you think you can easily catch me, pup?"

"Well, I certainly won't back down and will try to catch you so I could send you to God!" Yunho retorted, making the spirit laugh amusedly. "Ohh, you've become fierce. I remember how weak and useless you were when you're human, pup." Yunho frowned and flinched slightly as his head throbbed again and he saw some flashes of memories.

[Yunho curled up in himself as he covered his face with his arms while being kicked over and over again. "Worthless son of a bitch! Why aren't you dead yet, huh??! You good for nothing!" Yunho whimpered but he didn't even try to retaliate them, letting them kick him until he couldn't even move because of the pain flared up throughout his body.]

Yunho blinked for several times and gasped when the spirit kicked his stomach so hard that he ended up flying a few feet away and crashed onto the walls. Yunho hissed when his back flared up in pain, sliding down to the ground but he quickly stood up again, he won't back down, that's not how Hongjoong and Seonghwa taught him once he became a grim reaper. He rushed towards the spirit, giving him a low kick when the spirit thought that he was going to punch him, making the spirit fall onto his back.

Yunho then stomped his foot onto the spirit's chest but the spirit retaliated, grabbing Yunho's ankle and twisted it, making Yunho cried out in pain. The spirit then threw Yunho by his leg and Yunho collided with the walls again before tumbling to the ground. Yunho coughed, spitting the blood out of his mouth as he had bit his tongue accidentally when he was knocked over to the wall, raising himself up shakily while panting. He was exhausted from his job thus making it harder for him to fight the evil spirit, not to mention that this spirit is very strong.

Yunho was trying to take a breather but the spirit rushed to him, pouncing him to the ground and started strangling him. "Should I just kill you now? I can take over your body once I do so. Hm.." The spirit said, tightening his grip on Yunho's throat as the latter gasped, his hands on the spirit's wrists, trying to break free. "Nah, I can't kill you because that means you didn't give up on your life as a grim reaper. If that happens, I can't take over your body. I'll just break you to the core that you won't even wish to be reborn again."

Yunho gasped again, his hold weakening but he didn't want to give up but if this continued on, he might faint and the spirit could do anything to him. The only thing that he could think of was to get some help. M-mingi! H-help me! Yunho screamed in his head while squirming underneath the spirit, wishing that Mingi heard him and came to his aid as his visions swirled, white and black dots appeared and disappeared.

Yunho was on the verge of losing his consciousness when suddenly he could breathe again and the weight that was on top of him vanished. He gasped, taking short breaths as much as he could desperately, holding his throat while at it as he raised himself up from the ground weakly. Yunho blurrily watched the scene in front of him. Mingi was there, fighting with the evil spirit, throwing him to the walls before doing it over and over again with fast hands that Yunho winced every time the spirit crashed onto the walls.

The spirit growled when he couldn't even knock Mingi down, raising himself up from the ground and glared at them. "We'll meet again, pup." The spirit hissed and disappeared before Mingi could catch him again. Yunho coughed and winced when it made his throat ache as Mingi rushed to him, crouching down and gently touched him, running his hand on Yunho's back until Yunho's coughing fit stopped. "Are you okay, bub?" Mingi asked softly as Yunho nodded his head slowly as he winced when he swallowed and Mingi saw that.

Mingi then cupped Yunho's face, eliciting a hiss from the grim reaper. "I'm sorry, bub. I want to see the damage he has done to you." Mingi explained and Yunho nodded tiredly, his eyes became droopy caused by the adrenaline that had vanished in his system, making him severely exhausted and sleepy. Mingi wiped away the blood from Yunho's lips, frowning in worry with how lethargic the grim reaper had been as he felt the rage within himself towards the evil spirit. "Can you stand up, bub?" Yunho shook his head before slumping himself onto Mingi, making Mingi panicked slightly and held him close.

"I'll teleport us back home, okay bub?" Mingi said and Yunho only nodded his head while burying his head into Mingi's neck. Mingi then teleported them back home instantly without moving and appeared in the living room of the mansion. The others who were lounging around in the living room jumped in surprise before Seonghwa rushed to Yunho who was still in Mingi's hold, his eyes closed.

"What happened??" Seonghwa asked, looking over to the battered grim reaper in worry. "The evil spirit got him. I think Yunho didn't back down and fight back but the spirit was much stronger than him. He called me for help and when I arrived there, the spirit was strangling him. He was already battered at the time." Mingi explained as he gently looked all over Yunho, checking his wounds. Mingi grimaced when he saw all the cuts and bruises on Yunho's body when he took off Yunho's clothes as the others gasped, widening their eyes when they saw Yunho's battered body.

"That will take some time to heal.. Poor pup.." San said as Yeosang hurriedly went to fetch the first aid kit in the bathroom. Mingi softly pat Yunho's cheek, wanting to check if the grim reaper fainted or not. "Bub? Are you with me?" Mingi said softly and Yunho hummed softly, opening his eyes slowly as he tried to sit upright but stopped himself when the pain on his body flared up, whimpering softly. Mingi caressed Yunho's hair while sighing softly, "I'm sorry that I can't heal you, bub.." Yunho shook his head slowly, giving Mingi a soft smile with half lidded eyes. "It's okay.. I'm not going to die anyway.. It takes so much more to kill a grim reaper.." Yunho slurred.

"I know that bub, but still you will be in a lot of pain for a few days. You also could get a fever, looking at how bruised your body is." Mingi said softly and Yunho gave him a small smile, tilting his head cutely unintentionally. "It's fine. You're going to take care of me anyway, right? You won't let me, your bub be sick and alone do you?" Mingi blinked at Yunho as he didn't expect for him to be flirting with him now while being in pain.

"Pup needs to be in pain more often. Look at how he blurted out his true feelings towards Mingi." Wooyoung smirked as Yunho huffed cutely. "So what? Since I know that I'm Mingi's bub when I was human before, it's not wrong for me to be his bub now, am I?" Yunho slurred, laying his head on Mingi's shoulder again. "I remembered that you wailed and all earlier though. What changed your mind?" Yeosang said as he handed the first aid kit to Mingi. "When I realized that Mingi would always help me when I needed it the most. I'm too tired to feign that I didn't feel anything towards him anymore. I'm just going to trust my gut from now on." Yunho explained and Mingi smiled, kissing his temple, making the grim reaper blushed but he didn't move away.

Yunho then coughed before wincing and Mingi frowned, "Can I take off your pants, bub? I want to clean you wounds." Mingi asked softly and Yunho nodded his head, "Go ahead. I can't really move right now so you have to do all the work.. I'm sorry.." Yunho said with a pout and Mingi was quick to assure him that it's okay and took off his pants gently. Mingi then proceeded to clean Yunho's wounds gently while apologizing every time Yunho hissed in pain. Seonghwa and Yeosang had helped to clean Yunho's wounds while the other 4 helped put some relieving cream onto the wounds and bandaged it.

Yunho started shivering after a while and since he's only in his boxer, everyone had touched his body and knew that the grim reaper had developed a fever. Mingi teleported into their room, fetching Yunho's long sleeve shirt but didn't think enough and trousers before teleporting back to the living room. He then helped Yunho wear it as Yunho wasn't capable of doing it himself, only lying his head on Mingi's head, his breathing a bit laboured and shivering. "Does medicine help?" Mingi asked Hongjoong and Seonghwa as they are grim reapers too.

"Unfortunately no.. His body needs to fight it itself.. He of course won't die from it but it will take some time, seeing how battered he is right now.. I'm going to tell the higher ups and lay him off of his job until he's healthy again." Hongjoong sighed softly as Seonghwa continued, "I'll cook some food for him. It will help his body to fight the fever." Mingi thanked the both of them before picking up the already delirious grim reaper gently and teleported in their room.

Putting Yunho down on the bed gently, Mingi draped the blanket on Yunho, only his face visible as the latter sighed and whimpered occasionally. Caressing Yunho's hair softly, he spoke softly, "Try to get some sleep, bub." Yunho hummed, opening his eyes halfway as he grabbed Mingi's hand weakly. "Stay? Please?" Yunho said and Mingi melted right away, nodding his head. "I'll be here. Go to sleep." Yunho nodded his head and closed his eyes fully and fell asleep within seconds.

[ "NO BUB DON'T DO IT!" Mingi screamed, making Yunho jump in surprise and dropped the knife that he was about to thrust into his stomach, looking up at Mingi with shaky hands before he slid down to the floor, bursting into tears. Mingi rushed to Yunho, kicking the knife away from them and pulled Yunho into his embrace as Yunho tried to break free but Mingi didn't let go, only tightening his hold on him.

"W-why did you s-stop me?? L-let me die.. I c-can't do this anymore.. I h-hate feeling like this.. N-nothing good ever happens and I'm j-just being a burden to my f-family.." Yunho sobbed in Mingi's neck, giving up on trying to break free from him as he lay limp in Mingi's embrace. "No, bub.. Don't kill yourself.. I'm here aren't I? Things will get better, bub. You need to believe in yourself.. Don't listen to those people who said those awful things to you.. They don't know what you're going through.." Mingi tried consoling Yunho as much as he could and Yunho sighed, sobbing quietly while hugging Mingi tightly.]

[Yunho sighed, looking dejected at the portrait that he had just finished painted and sent to the local gallery but they rejected it because they said his work doesn't have any spark. "Even the only thing that I'm good in isn't enough.. I am really useless and worthless.." Yunho murmured to himself before tearing the portrait into pieces.]

["Is it true? That if I kill myself, I won't be a burden to anyone anymore?" Yunho whispered and the spirit smirked subtly before speaking softly to Yunho. "Yes.. Of course.. This is what you should do to make them happy, pup.. Don't you want them to be happy..?" Yunho nodded vigorously at that and the spirit smirked again when Yunho wasn't looking at him.

"Go ahead, pup. It won't hurt. I promise." Yunho stared at the spirit before looking down at the bottle in his hands, biting his lips before nodding and opened the cap, pulling out the contents onto his palm. He took a deep breath before shoving all the pills into his mouth and swallowed it. "That's right.. Now sleep, pup.. Good job.." The spirit said softly as Yunho laid down and closed his eyes.]

Yunho gasped out loud, sitting upright on the bed, making Mingi jump in surprise before running his hand on Yunho's back. "Bub?" Yunho shakily turned his head over while breathing heavily and Mingi widened his eyes when he saw Yunho's eyes tearing up. "What's wrong??" Mingi asked panicky and Yunho shook his head, flopping onto Mingi's lap, burying his head in Mingi's neck. "I r-remembered.." Yunho whispered, making Mingi look down to the grim reaper in shock. "What? Everything?" Mingi asked and Yunho nodded his head softly before sighing softly.

"I didn't know how sad my life was.." Yunho said and Mingi pushed him away gently before cupping Yunho's face. "Please don't think like when you were human again, please. I've been beating myself up since I didn't get to save you on time that day.." Yunho smiled, placing his hand on Mingi's. "I won't, Min. I promise. I'm not like my human self anymore. Hongjoong hyung, Seonghwa hyung, Sannie, Sangie, Woo and Jongie treated me right since I came here and have been supporting me and loving me. I very much love my life right now and I won't try to fade away."

Mingi beamed up and kissed Yunho on the lips without thinking, making the grim reaper yelped in surprise and blushed hard but he didn't move away before closing his eyes and deepening the kiss. They pulled away after a while and Mingi chuckled at the red-faced grim reaper as Yunho pouted, slapping Mingi's chest lightly. "Don't laugh! You surprised me is all!" Yunho huffed, puffing up his cheeks making Mingi laugh out loud before sighing softly, thumbing Yunho's cheeks with his thumb and leaned in, kissing his forehead.

"I'll do anything to get rid of the evil spirit. I can't lose you for the 2nd time." Mingi said and Yunho shook his head with a slight frown. "No no. WE will get rid of the evil spirit. How dare he play with my soft human heart until I died!? I want revenge too!" Mingi blinked before chuckling and nodding his head. "Okay okay. Now go back to sleep. You still have your fever. You need to rest as much as you can to be healthy again." Yunho nodded, laying back on the bed as he pulled Mingi's hands towards him.

Mingi knew what Yunho wanted so he laid next to him and the grim reaper buried his face in Mingi's neck while hugging him tightly. Mingi caressed Yunho's waist and they drifted to sleep after a while, both with a small smile on their faces.
