Hey, remember Percy's friends from the first chapter? Yeah me neither but this is Brandon, Ruby and Erin meeting Percy again.

Ruby, Brandon and I were sitting under the tree. It's the tree it's where we and our other friend Percy Jackson always hung out after school.

Our friend group has been a bit down since Percy was revealed as a son of Poseidon and left with the gods a week ago. OK maybe "a bit down" is a understatement but Why didn't he tell us? Did he not trust us? What did the gods want with him?

We all sat in miserable silence until a shadow came up behind us and said

"Hey"

He grinned as Ruby screamed his name. "Percy!"

We all ran up to hug him

"Why didn't you tell us Perce?" Brandon asked.

"You wouldn't have believed me and I had to keep my cover. To bad that didn't last long. " He laughed.  This is what I loved about Percy, his ability to make a joke about any situation.

"What did the gods want?" I asked.

"Nothing important, they where just bored and wanted to see the look on your faces."

"Let's hear about your quests and stuff then Perce. Did you really hold up the sky?" Ruby said.

We sat down under the tree. Percy looked out over the lake. "Well I guess it all started when..."

After two hours of us hanging out Percy had told us all about his "other life" We where all in shock.

Who knew our friend had done so much, I mean he was offered immortality and turned it down!

We sat in a comfortable silence until a black horse flew down to us. Yes, flew.  This horse had wings.

A blond girl, probably the same age as us, was riding it.

"You ready SeaweedBrain?" she asked 

We stared open mouthed at the sight before us.

"WiseGirl come meet my friends"
Percy said like an exited puppy.

The girl 'WiseGirl' rolled her eyes, smiled and sat down next to Percy.

"This is Ruby Mathews, Brandon Clark and Erin Cox" Percy said very quickly. we all waved.

"Annabeth Chase,  daughter of Athena" she said.

"And my girlfriend" Percy piped up. We stared for what seemed like the 1000th time today.

Ruby looked heartbroken; she's had a crush on Percy since forever.

The horse neighed indignantly.
"And this is Blackjack, my Pegasus" Percy said.  The pegasus looked satisfied

(can horses look satisfied?)

"he's also a real pain sometimes. "

Then he was locked in a one sided argument against a flying horse.

I did not expect this when I woke up today.

Annabeth seeing our confused faces said

"He can talk to horses because Poseidon, his dad, created them."

"And no I will not get you doughnuts" Percy finished and we all laughed.

"So how long have you known each other?" Ruby asked to change the subject.

"We've known each other since we where 12 then we have been together since my 16th birthday" Percy answered without hesitation.

Ruby looked,  if possible,  even more sad.

"we need to go seaweed brain" Annabeth said "Chiron's waiting."

We all hugged Percy, who promised to visit soon, patted Blackjack and smiled at Annabeth- Ruby did, but only reluctantly.  Then the trio flew off into the sky.
