Hi, I'm Faye Jones and this is the story of my friend's crazy birthday party.

It was the 5th of June and I was getting ready for my best friend- Frank Zhang's birthday party. Apparently his birthday was on the same day as one of his other friends, Grover so they decided to have a joint party.

I put on my favourite pair of well-worn jeans and a clean red t-shirt. Then I ran out the door because I was already late.

I reached the location of the party- In the middle of a wood.

If I get murdered by a cult of evil squirrels I'm never going to forgive Frank

I looked around. Then I checked the crumpled invite clutched in my left hand. Yep I'm in the right place.

"Heeellloooo?" I said "Anyone there?"

"Hi, are you here for the party?" A girl asked from behind me. I jumped so bad I almost fell over.

"Umm. Yes"
"follow me then." The girl had a petite frame, and a sort of greenish tinge to her skin. A crown woven from flowers sat in her amber hair. "I'm Juniper" she said "Grovers girlfriend"
"Oh, well I'm. Umm. Faye, Franks friend?" I said but me being the socially awkward person that I am it came out more as a question. Juniper lead me back to a clearing that I somehow missed. (Me being as blind as I am.) A table stood in the middle of the clearing laden with food and presents. 20ish people swarmed around the place. Talking and laughing.

Juniper ran of to join her friends so I just kinda stood there awkwardly. Finally Frank made his way over to me. He arm was wrapped around a small girl with cinnamon coloured hair.

"Faye, so glad you could make it!" He said. I handed him my present.

"thanks for inviting me" I smiled

"Hazel this is Faye my friend from school and Faye this is Hazel" he said gesturing to the girl. "My girlfriend" Hazel waved shyly.

When my brain had finally comprehend the situation I blurted out.
"You have a girlfriend? This is amazing I always said you should have a girlfriend you look sooooooo perfect for each other your ship name is now Frazel and you are my new OTP did I mention this is amazing?" I said all of this in one breath.

Frank and Hazel just stared at me blankly. "Wow- umm thanks I guess" Frank said.
"Let me introduce you to everyone."

I walked after Frazel like a lost puppy while the introduced me to their friends. Percy, Annabeth, Piper, Jason, Leo, Calypso, Nico, Will, Thalia, Juniper (Who I had already met), Rachel, Travis, Conner, Katie, Rayna and a few others who's names I couldn't remember.

I noticed that Grover wasn't here yet which I thought was weird as it was his party too. People started to look around nervously and Juniper was being comforted by Katie. Travis and Conner- taking their opportunity was spiking the drinks.

Percy, who was looking slightly tense, spoke up "I'm sure Grover will turn up soon let's play a game until he gets here. Truth or Dare anyone?" I internally groaned everyone always wants to play truth or dare but I hate having to do embarrassing stuff especially in front of people I don't know very well however this was the best game of T or D I had ever played.

We all sat in a circle. I was sat in between Thalia and Rachel.

"Piper truth or dare?"

The game was really funny Thalia had to climb a really tall tree- turns out she's terrified of heights, Percy had to say 'Finding Nemo is a bad film' I was very confused by that but Frank explained Percy is obsessed with that film and Katie had to admit when she first had a crush on Travis.

Half an hour later people where really starting to get worried about Grover. Juniper looked on the verge of tears.

"Sorry I'm late everyone" someone said behind me. I turned around. The person who spoke- I'm guessing Grover- had curly brown hair with a old looking Rasta cap on his head. He was about 5"11 but he also had.....

"Grover!"
"G-man!"
"Goat boy!"
"What are those!"

Yup you guessed it the last one was me and I wasn't going to pass on a opportunity to show my true colours as a meme lord- even if I was standing next to a guy with hooves instead of feet.

I knew about the Greek gods- everyone did. I just did think it would effect me. When I mentioned this someone muttered something about mortal ignorance.

Frank explained that they where all demigods. Expect Rachel who is the Oracle, Juniper who is a nymph and Grover who is a satyr and they had all fought in multiple wars.

Once I got my head around that we had a lovely time. We played games, ate food (I didn't know it was possible for anyone to eat as much food as Percy did) and opened presents. My present of a red beanie looked lame compared to everyone else (I mean someone gave him a quiver full of exploding arrows) but Frank said he loved it and wore it for the rest of the day.

After the party Grover insisted every help clean up to make sure we didn't leave anything behind and litter but that was really fun as well. The demigods started exchanging stories of their quests. (I can't believe Percy is the reason Mount Saint Helens erupted.) By the time I got home it was half 8 (8:30) but it was still quite light because it was June so I watched Mamma Mia! (Again) I fell asleep halfway through the film.

I never forget that party on the 5th of June.
