A showcase with @Denica_Stoltz, author of The Forbidden Kingdom

1 what inspired the idea of your story?

When I was in grade 7, I wanted to write a poem for my friends birthday on dragons and magic. So I wrote a poem on a girl named Stella that was a Dragon princess that has two magical powers inside of her.

Then when a few years later, I heard of Wattpad and I published the First Chapter and a lot of people enjoyed it. Then I added a few adult scenes for spice and made it into a Novel instead of 1 Chapter story.

2 what is something you struggled constructing with your story?

Writers Block, I think all authors go through that state. Like I would start writing then I need to help with my family. Then when I came back the idea is gone. It sucks so much.

3 what did you enjoy writing most of your story?

Letting my imagination tell a story. I struggle telling people my emotions and I hold them in. Me writing and making other people happy, even if it is not my book, just them being happy, really makes my day.

4 what's the overall response of your story from your readers?

I get a lot of support from my readers. I do get backlash but I use it to benefit my book and improve, but overall I get happy readers, that enjoy the battle scenes and the romance and drama between the three main characters.

5 is your story a stand alone novel or a piece of a series ?

part of a triology

6 what would you like your readers to take away from your story?

To not let your past or per cent define you. The main character goes through heartbreak, remorse and regrets her decisions, but in the end, it makes her who she is. I want my readers to make their own story even if they think their past defines them. IT DOESN'T!

7 what advice would you provide to fellow writers, when it comes to focusing on their own story?

Please, please, please. I can't say this enough. The reads or votes or comments doesn't define if you are a bad writer or not. YOU carry one writing and the people that read it. Read your book because they feel a connection to you and your book. Don't let the reads, comments or votes, tell you different.

8 does your main character share any similarities to yourself?

Yes and No. The looks, between her and me, are very different, but her personality is like mine.

9 what is something about your story you believe would draw in new readers?

There is Smut and I think that can draw in horny readers, but I like to draw in readers that struggle to find themselves and need a character to develop with.

10 do you have any future projects?

Yes I am publishing the second Novel of the Trilogy now. But the first Novel is up
