When she reached the stairwell again, a realization struck her body like a lightening bolt. Her blood turned into icy shards, her guts mangled up, and her knees threatened to give away.

Her panic exploded in the form of a shattering scream. "SIO!"

Alessio ignored the anxiety creeping up in their bond, continuing with his search...until he heard her horrified cry.

He barrelled down the stairs, collecting her hunched figure in his arms. Tears streamed down her face faster than the downpour outside. "Hey. Sia, hush. I'm right here, Love." He rubbed her back, pressing her head to his chest. "A flashback?" It's been a while since she had a panic attack. What even set her off!?

She shook her head.

That was enough for him to catch up the reason behind her hysteria.

"Shit!"

"Sio, none of this fucking makes sense!" Alessia pinched the bridge of her nose as she stared at the link chart before them.

"Fuck, I never imagined this." Alessio snapped his eyes shut, as a shaky breath escaped his lips. His fingers tightened around the edges of the desk.
